Cheezious hosts ‘exclusive' Independence Day celebrations
Cheezious, one of Pakistan's leading food brands, hosted an exclusive celebration at its head office under the patriotic theme 'Dil Se Cheezious, Dil Se Pakistani.' The event, attended by CEO Imran Ijaz along with notable personalities, featured a flag-hoisting ceremony, inspirational speeches, and reflections on the brand's journey as a proudly home grown enterprise. 'Independence Day is not just a date on the calendar; it's a reminder of who we are and what we stand for as Pakistanis,' said Ijaz. 'As a home grown brand, we take pride in serving from the heart, celebrating our heritage, and giving back to the community. 'Dil Se Cheezious, Dil Se Pakistani' is more than a theme — it's our way of life.'
The event aimed to foster employee engagement, unity, and national pride, while reaffirming the brand's commitment to quality, innovation, and social responsibility — delivering 'Cheezy Khushiyan' to communities nationwide.
Fatima Fertilizer also celebrated Independence Day with it's first-ever 'Dil Se Sarsabz' Milli Naghma Competition, blending the power of music with national pride. The campaign invited citizens nationwide to share renditions of classic patriotic songs on TikTok using the hashtag #DilSeSarsabz.
From hundreds of entries, ten finalists were selected to perform live before a distinguished jury, which included renowned singer and music producer Haroon Rashid. The top prize went to Tahir Ali Khan from Chakwal for his moving performance, followed by Shumaila Fareedon from Islamabad in second place and Mehtab Ali Talpur from Khairpur in third. The three most engaging TikTok entries also received surprise gifts for their creativity and audience appeal.

Sindh leading Independence Day celebrations: Sindh CM
KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, speaking at the 'Maarka-e-Haq' concert at the National Stadium, recalled the events of May when, according to him, India attacked Pakistan. 'Our soldiers responded in such a way that India was forced to plead before the world,' he said. 'Had we wanted, we could have continued the war and taught them a harsher lesson, but as a peace-loving nation, we accepted the global call for a ceasefire.' Special Azadi Train from Karachi to Thar inaugurated
KARACHI: Sindh Culture and Tourism Department's special Azadi Train, travelling from Karachi to Tharparkar, was inaugurated by Senior Minister and Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Media Sharjeel Inam Memon along with Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah. The train was adorned with national flags and banners depicting the Independence Movement. The ceremony opened with the national anthem. On the occasion, local artists showcased their talents, and a 78-pound cake was cut to mark the 78th Independence Day. More than a hundred passengers, including showbiz personalities, political and social leaders, and media representatives, are travelling on the Azadi Train. On the first day, it will journey from Karachi Cantt to Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas and Chhor, reaching Zero Point in Tharparkar the following day. Participants will distribute national flags at each station. On the occasion, Sharjeel Inam Memon said the Sindh government had, for the first time, organized celebrations of such scale, which he described as unparalleled. He said the armed forces and the nation together had inflicted a crushing defeat on India in the 'war of truth,' shooting down its Rafale and other warplanes, and added that India had yet to recover from the shock. He said the credit for the Independence Day celebrations went to the Culture Department and the Sports Department, which had organized grand shows in Hyderabad, Sukkur and Karachi. He added that a free musical concert for the public would be held at the National Stadium in Karachi today, featuring Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and other renowned singers. Sharjeel Memon said Independence Day events had also been arranged for special children, while a laser light show was held at the Quaid-i-Azam's mausoleum yesterday.
