WNBA Turns Heads With Kelsey Mitchell Post After Wings Game
While Caitlin Clark gets most of the attention and Aliyah Boston is recognized as one of the league's top centers, Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell continues to fly under the radar, but not for long.

The 29-year-old Ohio State alum has quietly been one of the steadiest scorers in the WNBA. She's now posted 20+ points in four straight games, including a season-high 32 in Friday night's 94-86 road win over the Dallas Wings.
Mitchell has scored in double figures in every game this season, raising her season average to 18.9 points per game.
After the win, the WNBA spotlighted Mitchell with a social media post that quickly drew reactions from fans and fellow players.
The praise came in quickly.

Mitchell has been a staple of the Fever since being selected second overall in the 2018 WNBA Draft. She made the All-Rookie Team in her debut season and has since earned back-to-back All-Star selections.
With Caitlin Clark missing seven games this season, including the last two, Mitchell has stepped up and kept Indiana's offense moving. The Fever now sit at 8-8 after Friday's win.
Indiana returns to action Tuesday night, as they go against Minnesota Lynx, before opening a five-game homestand with a matchup on Thursday against the Las Vegas Aces.

NEW YORK — The New York Liberty return home after a disappointing road trip that saw them drop three of their four games. Help is on the way, though, as Leonie Fiebich will return from playing in the EuroBasket tournament for Germany. That will give New York back one of its two missing starters. Chicago to retire Candace Parker's jersey number
Former Tennessee women's basketball player Candace Parker will become the second player to have her jersey retired by two WNBA franchises. She will join Lindsay Whalen who had her jersey retired by Connecticut and Minnesota. Chicago is slated to retire Parker's No. 3 jersey on Aug. 25 during the Sky's game against Las Vegas. Los Angeles retired Parker's No. 3 jersey at halftime of its, 92-85, loss to Chicago on Sunday at Arena in Los Angeles, California. She also played for the Sky and Aces, leading all three organizations to WNBA championships. Parker played in the WNBA from 2008-23. She was selected No. 1 overall in the 2008 WNBA draft by Los Angeles. Parker was a 2008 WNBA Rookie of the Year, seven-time WNBA All-Star, league MVP during her rookie season and named WNBA MVP in 2013. Parker was a seven-time First-Team All-WNBA player and WNBA Finals MVP in 2016. The two-time Olympic gold medalist played at Tennessee from 2006-08 under head coach Pat Summitt.
