Justin Timberlake reveals 'relentlessly debilitating' disease diagnosis
The Cry Me A River hitmaker, 44, has faced some criticism over his shows in recent months, with some calling his performance under par.
Taking to social media, Justin revealed his 'relentlessly debilitating' diagnosis in the hope doing so would help explain what he's been battling with behind the scenes.
On Instagram, Justin wrote: 'Well as these two incredible years come to an end and I look forward to the future, I wanted to write something from the heart. It's not an easy task to try to contextualise the whirlwind of touring – but, I will try.
'This has been the most fun, emotional, gratifying, physically demanding and, at times, grueling experience. I have been doing this for 30+ years (which feels crazy to say). – and have given all that I have to this. I could not have done it without my family, friends, the TN kids, and all of your support.
'As many of you know, I'm a pretty private person, but as I'm reflecting on the tour and festival tour – I want to tell you a little bit about what'sgoing on with me.
'Among other things, I've been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme Disease – which I don't say so you feel bad for me – but to shed some light on what I've been up against behind the scenes. If you've experienced this disease or know someone who has – then you're aware.
'Living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically. But, at least I could understand why I would be on stage and in a massive amount of nerve pain or just feeling crazy fatigue or sickness. More Trending
'I was faced with a personal decision, stop touring? Or, keep going and figure it out. I decided the joy that performing brings me far outweighs the fleeting stress my body was feeling. I'm so glad I kept going.

'Not only did I prove my mental tenacity to myself but I now have so many special moments with all of you that I will never forget.
'I was reluctant to talk about this because I was always raised to keep something like this to yourself, but I am trying to be more transparent about my struggles so that they aren't misinterpreted.
'Sharing all of this with the hope that we can all find a way to be more connected. I'd like to do my part to help others experiencing this disease too.'

I went on a minibreak with a stranger for our first date
It was a Saturday morning and I was feeding the cat when Jack* called. My heart began to beat hard. I waited for three rings before picking up. I had met Jack a week earlier on a trip abroad with mutual friends, and I'd been attracted to him on sight. He was tall, a few years older than me, had a great sense of humour and he spoke Italian fluently after living in the country for his job. Little did I know that hours after this call, I'd be on a plane to Vienna for our first date. I hadn't gone on holiday looking for love – I'd only had one serious boyfriend before the trip and we'd broken up just a few months prior – but I was definitely open to romance. During our week together, I learned that not only was Jack wise and witty, he liked to read and gave really good shoulder massages. He'd also just published a novel, which impressed me deeply. After a day or two there was an unspoken realisation that we were attracted to each other but it wasn't until the last night of the holiday that we kissed for the first time. We stayed up all night walking around the village then headed to the beach where we lay down and looked at the stars. We finally shared our first kiss just as the sun began to rise. It was such a cliché but I didn't care – it was the most romantic moment of my life. It was as though we had known each other forever, it was just so perfect. Jack took my number before we parted ways at the train station but we never discussed future plans, so I spent the next three days barely eating or sleeping, chain smoking, scribbling his name on notepads and boring girlfriends with every little detail and asking their advice. So, How Did It Go? is a weekly series that will make you cringe with second-hand embarrassment or ooze with jealousy as people share their worst and best date stories. Want to spill the beans about your own awkward encounter or love story? Contact It wasn't like I could just bump into him – I was in London working as a journalist and he was in Italy. Or so I thought. 'Where are you?' I asked as we chatted on the phone. 'Around the corner at the pub,' he said. I think my heart missed a beat. Jack had flown in and was literally next to my flat. No one had ever made such a romantic gesture before – but that wasn't even the best part. 'Pack a bag and bring your passport,' he told me, 'we're going away for the weekend.' Without hesitation I cancelled my plans, grabbed a bag, stuffed it with a swimming suit, jumpers and jeans and went to find him. We walked towards each other, then he hugged me and we kissed in front of everyone in the pub. It was thrilling. Taking my hand, he made a beeline for the door saying there was no time to linger. 'We're going to Vienna.' My mind was swirling. I didn't know much about Vienna except that Freud had lived there and there was a world-class opera house; all I could focus on was that this was our first official date. A whole weekend, just the two of us. It was the stuff of dreams. The next two days were a blur of romance and fun. We stayed in a glitzy Baroque style hotel, ate the famous Sachertorte (a classic Viennese chocolate cake) at Cafe Sacher, spent hours in museums and galleries admiring paintings by Rubens and Raphael and enjoyed every second just walking, talking and being together. And because neither of us had told anyone that we were going away, we were able to stay in our own bubble the whole time. Calls from his publisher and my dad went unanswered. By the time the weekend came to an end, it was clear that we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend and I was in no doubt that we would see each other again very soon. More Trending We spoke on the phone every day and I visited him in Italy a month later. When his contract came to an end the following year, he moved to London where we lived separately for a while and moved in together after a year. While there were no more spontaneous surprises, we went on many, wonderful trips. Our relationship eventually fizzled out – partly because he was moving away again – and my heart broke. I haven't seen Jack for years and a little part of me will always love him. We loved each other deeply, but it was not to be. One thing is certain, though: our date to Vienna is still the most romantic thing I have ever experienced and it gave me a memory and a relationship I will treasure forever. *Names have been changed Do you have a story you'd like to share? Princess Andre addresses family feud rumours after claims show branded her trash
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Princess Andre has hit back at claims that her family is in a feud after her mother claimed her new show branded her 'trash'. The 18-year-old has recently been promoting her new reality TV series with ITV titled The Princess Diaries, which is set to launch on Sunday. Yesterday, she appeared on This Morning alongside her brother Junior to talk about a valuable lesson they learned from their parents Katie Price and Peter Andre. Now, however, Princess has addressed rumours that her mother was 'banned' from being on her new show, which follows a recent string of events including her 18th birthday party where Katie said she wasn't welcome. Speaking to the Daily Mail, the young TV star said: 'It's my show, it's not based on my parents, it's focused on me. To be honest there's no rift between me and either of my parents.' Discussing her birthday party in particular, which was thrown by her father Peter and Katie did not attend, she added: 'What I would usually do, as I've done my whole life, would be to spend the morning with one parent and the evening with the other. 'As it happened, mum ended up being away, and dad had already decided to throw me a last minute birthday party, which we filmed for the show. 'But anyhow, it would be weird if both parents were in the same room, as I'm sure a lot of people out there with divorced parents can relate to.' Just days before the launch of her new ITV2 show, Katie told her sister Sophie Price on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, on an episode titled The Truth Behind The Princess Diaries that she has been deliberately cut out of the new TV series because it wasn't good for Princess' brand. 'I want the best for Junior and Princess, and I would never get in the way of it,' she said. 'But what hurts my feelings, and it does upset me, is when your kids grow up, you go to their assemblies, you go to their Christmas things, you go to their awards, you go to their football matches or gymnastics, you're involved in everything they do. 'And knowing that, what my career has been, Princess is taking that same path, trying to do the same as what I've done, which I absolutely love and adore [about] Princess.' She then added that she 'wasn't welcome' and felt concerned that she was putting her daughter in an awkward position. 'But I have not been allowed to go on any photo shoot, no signings or Superdrug openings or anything like that. Why? Because I'm not allowed and I'm not welcome. 'And it puts Princess in a situation because I don't want her to feel she has to choose between me and her work because I want her to do well. 'And I have said to Princess, just see how it feels for me because I should be there supporting you, I want to be there to support you like my family did. And I'm your mum, and especially as you're doing stuff that I did, I'm proud of you and want to be there.' More Trending She also claimed that it was her ex-husband and the management team who were stopping her from being involved. Speaking on This Morning, Princess spoke about growing up in the spotlight, saying: 'I feel like the way I think about it is if you're putting yourself out there, you have to expect negativity and positivity too. 'We learnt from our parents how to deal with it. There are horrible people but we just have to deal with it.' View More » The Princess Diaries is available to watch on ITV from 9pm on Sunday.
