Kaizer Chiefs: R5-million outbound midfielder and attacker spotted at PSL rivals
Kaizer Chiefs recently released winger, Tebogo Potsane.
Now, he is training with their PSL rivals, Siwelele FC.
Potsane is one of EIGHT confirmed Chiefs departures.
Ranga Chivaviro, Njabulo Blom, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove, Mduduzu Mdantsane, Yusuf Maart and Bongani Sam have all also left Amakhosi.
So, now Potsane is in the market for a new club. Interestingly, he has been spotted in training with Siwelele FC.
'The former Royal AM winger has already begun training with the team, and sources indicate that both parties are in advanced talks to finalise a deal,' the report read on FarPost .
Meaning, the ex-Chiefs winger and midfielder is close to joining their rivals, Siwelele.
Chiefs are set to part ways with this R6-million midfielder.
Additionally, this Amakhosi R7-million goalkeeper is heading out of Naturena. Meanwhile, this R9 million Chiefs midfielder is negotiating a move to PSL rivals. Whilst, this R2-million Amakhosi fan-favourite has attracted interest from more PSL rivals.
So, FOUR more Chiefs departures are likely before the end of the transfer window.

Kaizer Chiefs spark early optimism with perfect Betway Premiership start
Kaizer Chiefs have begun the 2025/26 Betway Premiership with a renewed sense of purpose, turning last season's frustrations into early optimism. After a campaign marked by inconsistency and disappointment, Amakhosi appear to have rediscovered their rhythm, giving supporters fresh hope with a perfect start to the season. Last year's main flaw was their inability to maintain consistency; despite adjustments, they repeatedly dropped valuable points, eventually finishing ninth. It was a bitter pill for a club of their stature, and expectations for this season were understandably cautious. Following their 1-0 win over Richards Bay FC at the FNB Stadium, hope has been restored. Of course, no titles are decided in August nor the order of the table, but a strong start provides a foundation on which confidence can be built — and the Glamour Boys have done just that. Here we will look at the five key talking points from their season so far. A team finding its identity and playing style? Much of the buzz this season has focused on head coach Nasreddine Nabi, who has been away attending to a family emergency. Questions naturally arose over whether his absence might disrupt the rhythm the team has found, but those doubts have largely been put to rest. Assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef confirmed that Nabi has remained deeply involved, helping guide the side from back home and he might be in the bench in their match against Mamelodi Sundowns next week. Beyond his presence, Chiefs face the bigger challenge of defining their identity this season, especially with a host of new signings. Early signs are promising, but the real test will be maintaining momentum while seamlessly integrating the newcomers into the squad's rhythm. Defensive resilience Another standout improvement has come at the back. Defensive instability was a hallmark of last season, with constant errors and reshuffling undermining results. This time, goalkeeper Brandon Petersen's return to the No.1 spot has brought stability. After patiently waiting for his chance, Petersen has made the most of it, guiding Chiefs to three consecutive clean sheets. His leadership has been complemented by the partnership forming between Aiden McCarthy and captain Inacio Miguel, while Bafana Bafana defender Rushwin Dortley is set to return from injury soon, further strengthening their options. Sirino finds his spark In attack, Gaston Sirino delivered one of the most encouraging moments so far. The Uruguayan, who this season is under pressure to perform, scored the decisive goal against Richards Bay. That strike could provide the boost he needs to finally ignite his Chiefs career. With continental competition also on the horizon in the CAF Confederation Cup, Chiefs will need experienced players like Sirino to step up and deliver consistently. New signings and healthy competition The club has also been active in the transfer market, unveiling youngsters Luke Baartman and Asanele Velebayi, both arriving after disputes with Cape Town Spurs, along with Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro. These reinforcements, combined with earlier acquisitions, highlight Chiefs' intent to strengthen across all departments. The depth they now possess means competition for places will be fierce, reducing complacency and ensuring standards remain high. Youngsters to play with freedom With action happening everywhere else, the spotlight and expectations have shifted from talented youngsters including Mduduzi Shabalala who may just have a good opportunity to reach his peak playing with less expectations.. With a weight of expectation on him to deliver in seasons past, it has prevented him the freedom to be the player he is and while nothing is guaranteed, a continuous happy camp may just spark his best form.

Kaizer Chiefs BLOCK overseas interest in star player!
Kaizer Chiefs seem to have developed a reputation for exporting a player abroad regularly in the past couple of seasons. Even though Chiefs would like to keep their best players as a big club, they also don't hold them back. During the current transfer window, Chiefs did not stand in the way of their captain Yusuf Maart , when an offer came. The box-to-box midfielder recently left the Glamour Boys, after they accepted an offer from Austrian side SK Rapid Wien. That signalled the end of his three years at the club, having joined from Sekhukhune United in the 2022/23 season. He left ultimately left them with good memories, scoring the winning goal of the Nedbank Cup final. Of course, this would've been sweeter for Chiefs fans and Maart as he scored it against Orlando Pirates. His former club where he hardly got a look in, and the arch rivals of Amakhosi. But as their fanbase were still digesting that move, they could've been rocked by another. According to Soccer-Laduma , the Bafana Bafana star is not the only player from the squad that was attracting interest in Austria. The publication reports that talented playmaker Mduduzi Shabalala was the subject of interest from Maart's rival side Austrian Wien . 'Yes, there was reported interest from a club in Austria (in Shabalala), but the deal did not materialise. It was interest from Austria Wien.' Said the source on the Chiefs forward's situation. A second source added that Chiefs were not yet ready to part ways with Shabalala. This despite the efforts of Wien. 'Yes, there was interest from a team in Europe (Wien) but Kaizer Chiefs were not ready to release the player at that point, and that's why the deal didn't go through. But it's true, the interest was there for Mdu (Shabalala),' said the source. Chiefs fans, was the club right to reject the advances of Wien? Or should they have let Shabalala go? Race Coast plans to build a river of money
Incentive scheme swells as new betting site is launched. Hot on the heels of boosting cash incentives for owners, trainers and jockeys, Race Coast has revealed how it intends to raise some of the funding for its generosity. The livewire operator in Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal is launching a new online gaming site called Lucky Fish, which will return a dedicated share of its profits to South African horse racing. Bookmaking giant Hollywoodbets is the financial muscle behind Race Coast and some observers might see this move as undercutting its own product, but business experts will see it as market expansion and setting up a sustainable revenue conduit for the game. A Race Coast media release said profits would be cycled back into South Africa's horse racing ecosystem — 'fueling racetrack development, protecting jobs and securing the sport's long-term vitality'. 'Lucky Fish is our boldest fusion yet: it's not just a betting brand — it's a movement,' said Vishen Naidoo, Lucky Fish's commercial manager. 'We're innovating for today's digital generation while reinvesting in the sport that built Race Coast.' Game changer? A live Tote betting option will be available on the site – along with the sports book, casino games and slots action. Claiming Lucky Fish is a 'game changer', the media blurb says it has 'AI-backed personalisation, secure cloud architecture and real-time data analytics', along with instant payouts, robust player protection and ethical marketing. Earlier, Race Coast announced that an amount of nearly R38.5-million had been budgeted to be paid to stakeholders in the Cape and KZN between September 2025 and end-July 2026 – after R25-million was paid to owners, trainers and jockeys over the last term. Race Coast executive Justin Vermaak told Sporting Post the incentive scheme devised by Cape Racing had been streamlined over the past three years and had 'unquestionably worked' in achieving some of the goals set, while remaining a 'work-in-progress'. The number of meetings and sizes of fields had grown. 'This is solid growth, despite the national trend of reduced meetings,' said Vermaak. 'This provides further opportunities for our local racing communities, and increased employment prospects for grooms and work riders, as well as raising the bar for all related and ancillary horse racing services. We have exciting times ahead with KZN now under the umbrella.'
