Selfish boyfriend secretly quits job — and expects girlfriend to financially support them: ‘Get rid of that man-child'
A woman's boyfriend didn't tell her he quit his job — and then accused her of being unsupportive when she didn't want to pay the full rent they once split.
The frustrated girlfriend took to the r/AITA_WIBTA_PUBLIC Reddit forum to vent about her situation — which has since been deleted.
She explained how she and her boyfriend lived together and split the rent 50/50. While things at home seemed to be fine and dandy — the original poster started to notice that her man was home more than usual, especially during times when he should've been at work.
'Everything was going fine until a few weeks ago.' She wrote that she asked him what was going on and he sneakily replied, saying he 'was taking some time off.'
The OP had to learn of her boyfriend's impulsive decision to quit his job from their mutual friend.
'I asked him straight up, and yeah, turns out he just quit. No notice, no conversation with me. His reasoning was that he felt burned out and needed to reset,' she wrote.
'I'm not unsympathetic to that at all, but I feel like quitting your job without a plan or at least talking to the person you live with is a massive red flag,' her post read.
To make this situation even worse — the irrational boyfriend expected the OP to take on the financial burden of the couple's living situation while he was unemployed, by choice, and called her 'unsupportive' and 'selfish' when she refused.
'I told him I couldn't do that. I work full-time, pay my own bills, and I'm not in a position to carry both of us, especially not without a heads-up,' the OP wrote.
Alexa, play 'Manchild' by Sabrina Carpenter.
The post has over 1,000 comments from people who wholeheartedly support the OP — and not this wacky boyfriend.
'Time for him to move out and find someone (like his mom) who will put up with his nonsense. You thought you were in a relationship with an adult, but he's turned out to be a man-child who was just looking for sugar momma. The fact that he's just quit and not even tell you shows that he has no respect for you or how hard you're working.'
'Start paying his bills and I promise he will never 'figure things out' and you'll be covering his dumb a– forever. And he went crying to his mommy about it? So many red flags.'
'Get rid of that man-child. If he wanted shared finances, he should have gotten married. If he's going to behave so stupidly, he should not be married.'
This isn't the first time the internet came after an irrational man.
A hardworking girlfriend shared in the r/AITA subreddit forum that she and her fiancé also split everything 50/50 and when she asked if they could hire a cleaning service to regularly, every weekday, come to their home — her boyfriend refused.
'When we first moved in, I took on most of the cleaning and cooking… but after months of juggling work, house chores, and cooking — sometimes even having to cook while in the middle of meetings — I burned out. Completely,' she relatably wrote.
She brought up this cleaning service idea, but 'He [her fiancé] got really upset and said it wasn't necessary, that I'm being lazy, and that I'm trying to avoid any responsibility for housework. That made me furious.'

Ye's Yeezy.com Returns With $20 Slides For Sale
Ye is equally adept at angering the masses and marketing his products. The 48-year-old artist returned to the shoe game this week with the relaunch of highlighted by new $20 slides. His popular site was originally shut down by Shopify earlier this year, but you can't keep the artist formerly known as Kanye West down for long. Eight new products are now available for sale; the previously Adidas Yeezy slides are now referred to as the YS-01 and no longer feature a logo. Fans can also purchase the Yeezy Pods (PD-01 for short), the SL-01 slide, high heels, and boots. It would be smart to rush and purchase anything before some controversy occurs, and this website gets taken down, too. With the Vultures artist, anything is possible. Ye has spent the majority of this year offending countless groups of people. He proudly declared his love for Adolf Hitler and called himself a Nazi, insulted Lizzo and other large women, feuded with Playboi Carti, expressed his envy toward Kendrick Lamar, and went back-and-forth between dissing and defending his old rival, Drake. The Chicago producer also erratically released a lot of music. In March, he shared Bully and an accompanying short film. In May, he shared a new single, 'Alive' with YoungBoy Never Broke Again, but infuriated Carti. The song sampled DJ Swamp Izzo's 'Alive,' which the Atlanta artist flipped on 'Crank' from his March album Music. Carti also had a version of 'Alive' featuring NBA YoungBoy, and he leaked that record in retaliation against Ye. The duo's falling out was largely because Carti wanted to get West's daughter North on a song, and Kim Kardashian permitted it, though she had previously taken issue with her ex-husband attempting to put their child on a track with Diddy. Jason Kelce calls Travis Kelce most 'unique' tight end ever
Travis Kelce is a lot of things: a future Hall of Fame tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, a holder of 12 NFL records, a "New Neights" podcast co-host and, of course, Taylor Swift's boyfriend. In a recent GQ profile of Kelce, his brother, Jason Kelce, added one more identifier to the list. "There will be arguments about him versus Gronk, versus Tony Gonzalez, but I don't think anybody has ever been as unique of a player in that spot," Jason said. To Jason's point, Travis is truly 1-of-1 in several statistical categories. In the Chiefs' two most recent playoff runs, the tight end broke three of legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice's NFL postseason records. He now stands alone as the NFL record-holder for career postseason receptions (172), career postseason 100-yard games (9) and career Super Bowl receptions (35). TRAVIS KELCE: Chiefs TE gushes over Taylor Swift in GQ story: 'We're just two people that are in love' Jason and former Chiefs quarterback Alex Smith talked more about Travis' intelligence and uniqueness as a person and player throughout the article. The elder Kelce brother spoke about a "Travis Moment" from their childhood, when he put together a full Erector set without reading the instructions while Jason and their father, Ed, were still reading them. Smith brought up examples of Travis' ball knowledge from early in the tight end's career, mentioning how he would add his own improvisational tweaks to routes to get open. "Every single pass play, wherever I was going, whatever the concept intended for me to throw, whatever defensive look I was getting, it didn't matter: Travis was open," Smith told GQ. "He was supposed to turn out, but on this one he flipped in, and he was open. He always put his little twist on it, and it worked." Smith pointed to one specific example of Kelce changing a route from a fake shallow cross with a cut back to a real shallow cross with a hesitation step before carrying on when he saw his defender didn't buy the fake. "This is an NFL game!" Smith said. "We had never talked about this! This was not remotely a possibility for him when we installed this play! It turned into a 35-yard gain. This is the brilliance of Kelce." This article originally appeared on USA TODAY: Jason Kelce uses an interesting word to describe brother Travis
