Kim Kardashian's new jaw-sculpting face mask compared to ‘medieval torture device': ‘What in the Hannibal is this'
On Tuesday, Kardashian's intimates brand Skims released a new shapewear — for the face.
The Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap is made of polyamide and elastane and purportedly 'infused with collagen yarns' to offer jaw support, along with velcro closures at the top and nape of the neck to allow for 'everyday wear.'
The shapewear company marketed the wrap as a 'must-have addition to your nightly routine.'
'Ok guys, so you know we've been doing shapewear for a really long time,' Kardashian said, according to BuzzFeed. 'And now we are gonna offer amazing face shapewear, which is just such a necessity. This material is actually infused with collagen yarns, and it's just this amazing jaw support.'
'It just snatches your little chinny chin chin…it's super comfortable to wear at night or just around the house.'

The $48 face innovation quickly sold out online, as seen on the Skims website. Regardless of its commercial popularity, users online had quite a few things to say about the brand's bizarre shapewear addition.
'Skims is selling some kind of medieval torture device for your face,' one person said on X.
'The new Skims Ultimate Face 'face innovation' reminds me of Goodnight Mommy,' another noted.

'What in the Hannibal is this?' someone wrote in the comments of Skims' Instagram post.
'What in the Handmaid's Tale is this?' another asked.
'This is embarrassing for Skims. Truly embarrassing. This isn't empowering for women, this is trying to profit from your insecurities,' someone commented.
'Gotta give Kim credit, she's always at the forefront of identifying new things for women to be insecure about and profiting off them,' a Reddit user shared.

'SKIMS: Making women feel bad about themselves since 2018,' one added.
'Just dropped — new invention to make women feel insecure for no reason,' another commented.
'Propaganda I'm not falling for. Feeling like I shouldn't age or look like I've aged,' a user wrote.
'Even in sleep, we're not allowed to just be,' one person exclaimed.
Some people pointed out that it resembles the face wrap on Meryl Streep's character Madeline Ashton in 'Death Becomes Her.'
Despite the backlash, at least one expert understood the Skims vision. Dr. Akash Chandawarkar, a board-certified plastic surgeon based in Tampa, Florida, commented on the post, noting that the product is 'perfect for after facelift, necklift or submental lipo.'
Though someone on Reddit shared that they 'wore a medical grade version of this when I got my chin lipo and when I got my chin implant. This almost certainly won't do anything. It's just more nonsense. They may market it as a waist trainer for your chin/jaw, but we all know it won't do anything.'
Another Instagram user shared that they have a disorder that could benefit from something like the face wrap.
'No, but legit, I have a connective tissue disorder that caused TMJ [temporomandibular joint disorder] and my jaw recesses at night, which causes mouth breathing and allergies, so I am actually stoked for this!'
4 'It just snatches your little chinny chin chin…it's super comfortable to wear at night or just around the house,' Kardashian said of the product.

The Skims Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap seems to be taking advantage of the 'morning shed' social media trend, where users go all out for their bedtime rituals, resulting in a scary and/or humorous nighttime look.
Eye masks, mouth tape, chin straps, overnight cream, bonnets and more are worn by these TikTokkers, and the idea is to wake up the next day appearing more refreshed than you did the day before.

'Sex and the City' spinoff 'And Just Like That' to end with Season 3 just like that
"And Just Like That" is over, just like that. Michael Patrick King – an executive producer of the "Sex and the City" spinoff, which airs on HBO Max – revealed the show will abruptly end at the end of the current season, in a note posted to the show's social media pages Aug. 1. "And just like that... the ongoing storytelling of the 'Sex And The City' universe is coming to an end," King wrote. "While I was writing the last episode of 'And Just Like That...' season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop." He said that he and franchise star Sarah Jessica Parker "held off announcing the news until now because we didn't want the word 'final' to overshadow the fun of watching the season." King said, "It's with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years." 'And Just Like That' Season 3: Date, time, how to watch new episodes The "SATC" revival premiered on HBO Max in late 2021, featuring three out of the four original stars, minus Kim Cattrall's promiscuous Samantha Jones. However, the fan favorite Manhattanite made an offscreen appearance through a text conversation with Parker's lead character, Carrie Bradshaw. In the spinoff, Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) were back on the New York City streets and fans' TV screens. 'And Just Like That' finale to end Season 3 The show is set to end with a two-part finale on Aug. 7 and Aug. 14 on HBO Max. Sarah Jessica Parker speaks out on 'AJLT' ending In an Instagram post after the news broke, Parker said a heartfelt goodbye to a character she's loved for nearly 30 years. "Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all. I know others have loved her just as I have. Been frustrated, condemned and rooted for her," Parker wrote. "The symphony of all those emotions has been the greatest soundtrack and most consequential companion. Therefore the most sentimental and profound gratitude and lifetime of debt. To you all." She echoed King's earlier message, writing,"MPK and I together recognized, as we have in the past, this chapter complete." "AJLT was all joy, adventure, the greatest kind of hard work alongside the most extraordinary talent of 380 that includes all the brilliant actors who joined us," Parker said. "I am better for every single day I spent with you." Davis added in her own Instagram post: "I am profoundly sad. I love our whole beautiful cast and crew. 400 artisans working so hard on our show with deep love. And to our loyal fans, we love you forever and ever." Despite a loyal following of "SATC" fans and new viewers, the show has drawn criticism for its confusing plotlines and character development since Season 1. 'Excited & Honored' - Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Celebrates Milestone
'Excited & Honored' - Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Celebrates Milestone originally appeared on The Spun. When the Dallas Cowboys play their first home game at AT&T Stadium this season, there'll be plenty of eyes on their cheerleading squad. It was recently announced that every member of "America's Sweethearts" will receive a 400 percent pay increase this season. Just for reference, former Cowboys cheerleader Jada McLean said she made $15 per hour and $500 for each appearance last season. One cheerleader who'll benefit from this raise is Anna Kate Sundvold. She officially joined "America's Sweethearts" in 2023, making her the second member of her family to represent the franchise. "I grew up always feeling that I was in her shadow, so I decided to go to a different college than she did to make my own path," Anna Kate said. "However, choosing a school about 45 minutes away from Dallas, I was able to see the love Caroline had for this organization and all the girls within. Each girl is so driven in life, and I knew I wanted to surround my years following college with a group of people like them and continue doing what I love most." Prior to becoming a cheerleader for the Cowboys, she was on TCU's dance team. Although the 2025 season is still over a month away, Anna Kate has reason to celebrate this weekend. On Friday night, Anna Kate announced that she'll once again represent the Cowboys this fall. It'll mark her third season in Dallas. "Year 3," she wrote for her Instagram caption. "Forever grateful for these girls and this team! Excited and honored to take on another year." Countless members of the Cowboys' cheerleading squad had kind things to say about Anna Kate. "Cannot wait to dance next to you all year long! Love you so much," Kayla Hayes wrote. "Love you," rookie cheerleader Morgan Perschy commented. "So excited for this year together." The Cowboys will host the New York Giants in their home opener on Sept. 14.'Excited & Honored' - Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Celebrates Milestone first appeared on The Spun on Jul 26, 2025 This story was originally reported by The Spun on Jul 26, 2025, where it first appeared.
