Predicting a Steelers trade package for Commanders' Terry McLaurin after official request
Less than 40 days away from the start of the 2025 regular season, the Commanders may need to be swept off their feet to consider trading away McLaurin — and this trade package prediction from Pittsburgh does exactly that.
The Steelers traded a 2025 second-round pick to the Seahawks for DK Metcalf — whose production has been only slightly below McLaurin's since 2019 — making a similar, slightly greater offer here justifiable.

While many may scoff at the idea of sending away Wilson along with a second- and fourth-round draft pick, the Commanders have a young, hungry roster ready to compete — and likely wouldn't part with an All-Pro caliber wideout unless they receive a pass catcher to assist QB Jayden Daniels in return.
The Steelers traded a 2025 second-round pick to the Seahawks for DK Metcalf — whose production has been only slightly below McLaurin's since 2019.
Acquiring McLaurin isn't as difficult as finding a way to balance paying him an average salary of $30 million-plus while bringing back some impending free agents next offseason — but the Steelers have $45.5 million of 2026 cap space, so a big extension isn't outside the realm of possibility.
Despite rumors of the Steelers low-balling teams regarding trade-target wideouts, McLaurin is too great a talent to pass up — even if that means parting ways with a second-round pick and a potential Year 2 breakout candidate in Wilson.

Brian Robinson Jr. and Terry McLaurin show the harsh business of the NFL
Neither Terry McLaurin nor Brian Robinson Jr. was at Northwest Stadium on Monday night for the Washington Commanders' 31-17 preseason loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. McLaurin's absence — Monday and, worst-case scenario, into the season — matters greatly. Robinson's does not.

Steelers countdown to kickoff — No. 19: a history of the number and who wore it best
The Steelers countdown to kickoff is here — and we're at 19 days until Pittsburgh faces off against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium. In the spirit of the countdown, we're taking a look at the history of No. 19 and the players who wore it best. Current Steelers No. 19 wearer: WR Calvin Austin III One of the fastest wideouts in the NFL, Calvin Austin is the current No. 19 wearer on the Steelers roster. Selected with the 138th overall pick in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Austin has steadily improved each year he's been in the league — with 2025 shaping up to finally be his breakout season under QB Aaron Rodgers at the helm. Last five Steelers to wear No. 19: Best No. 19 in Steelers history: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster While lacking a storied history like other numbers in our Countdown to Kickoff, the best Steeler to ever wear No. 19 is WR JuJu Smith-Schuster. Drafted with the 62nd overall pick in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Smith-Schuster made his impact right out of the gates as a rookie in 2017 — producing 917 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on 58 receptions, as well as returning a kickoff for a 96-yard touchdown. The best season of his NFL career was undoubtedly in 2018, when he caught 111 passes for 1,426 yards and seven touchdowns — earning the lone Pro Bowl selection of his career. Although his time in Pittsburgh ended when Ben Roethlisberger retired at the end of the 2021 season, the excitement behind his early rise was second to none — deserving of recognition as arguably the best No. 19 in Steelers history. Steelers acquire Tyreek Hill in exchange for standout pass rusher in wild trade prediction
Less than three weeks away from the Steelers' regular season kickoff, and we still have trade package predictions running rampant in Pittsburgh — with the latest speculation falling on Tyreek Hill's possible Steel City arrival. Last week, Bleacher Report's Brent Sobleski created several trade package predictions for the Miami Dolphins superstar wideout — and the Pittsburgh Steelers were one of just four teams to make the list, trading away one of their most underrated pass rushers and some Day 3 picks in exchange for Hill. Here are the full details of Sobleski's projected trade package: Steelers receive: Dolphins receive: It's worth noting that this trade prediction was created before edge rusher Matthew Judon signed with Miami, but Herbig's value as one of the league's most efficient pass rushers — supported by stats and analytics — could certainly be of value on the trade market. While many speculate Hill's days as a Dolphin could be over sooner rather than later, it's unlikely the Steelers chance adding a disgruntled wide receiver after shipping away the incredibly erratic George Pickens just a few months ago.
