2nd arraignment postponed for driver facing murder charges in Planz Rd crash
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A trial date for Arturo Munoz, charged with murder in a crash on Planz Road that killed two people, won't be known until later this month at the earliest.
Court records show Munoz's second arraignment was postponed Wednesday to Feb. 19. He remains in custody without bail.

Munoz, 26, faces two counts of second-degree murder and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, and multiple DUI-related charges.
Hortencia Garcia De Haro, 30, died at the scene on the night of Feb. 9, 2024, when the Chevy Malibu she drove was broadsided by Munoz's Chevy Tahoe on Planz Road between Hughes Lane and South H Street, according to court documents. Vanessa Lasarit Madrigal, a passenger in the Malibu, died days later. A third passenger was injured.
Munoz, who has three prior DUI convictions, had alcohol and marijuana in his system, documents said.
