Alan Ritchson Turns Heads With Unrecognizable Look in First Image for New Thriller
If you thought Alan Ritchson looked unrecognizable after gaining muscle for Reacher, wait until you see his latest look for Motor City. It's sure to make you do a double take.
Set in the 1970s, Motor City is Ritchson's bold new action film making its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Elevation Pictures tweeted a photo of Ritchson—still looking as brawny and bulked as ever. Dare we say he looks even beefier than he does as Jack Reacher? But this time, he's rocking a more rugged look, complete with a full beard and long hair that falls just above his shoulders.
Motor City stars Ritchson in the role of John Miller, a Detroit man released from prison, who unleashes a rampage of brutal vengeance on those who framed him. The Detroit-set thriller promises immersive visual storytelling along with choreographed and stylized action sequences."When a 70s-era everyman is framed by a ruthless local gangster, he emerges from prison determined to reclaim his life by any means necessary," the TIFF website reads.
Along with Ritchson, the star-studded cast also includes Shailene Woodley, Ben Foster, and Pablo Schreiber, Ben McKenzie, Zoë Kravitz, and Natasha McElhone.
The screenplay comes from Chad St. John and is directed by Potsy Ponciroli.
"He's [Ritchson] very tall and very muscular, and he's very handsome. He's terrific as a mover. I think he wants to do some deeper work or rather different kinds of work than he's been doing, and that's a joy," Foster shared with Collider at TIFF 2024.Alan Ritchson Turns Heads With Unrecognizable Look in First Image for New Thriller first appeared on Men's Fitness on Aug 6, 2025

Rock Legends Honor the Late Jimmy Buffett On Tour Opening Night
Rock Legends Honor the Late Jimmy Buffett On Tour Opening Night originally appeared on Parade. The Doobie Brothers are back on tour, and they're paying tribute to the late Jimmy Buffett with some very special tour guests! The iconic 1970s rock band opened their Walk This Road Tour's North American leg at the Pine Knob Music Theatre in Detroit on Monday, August 5, 2025, with the help of the legendary singer-songwriter's Coral Reefer Band. This is the first time the late musician's band is touring since his death in 2023. "We have the privilege of continuing the party Mr. Jimmy Buffett started some decades ago," The Coral Reefer Band's emcee Mac McAnally, who was a close friend and collaborator of Buffett, told the crowd, according to Ultimate Classic Rock. "Nobody in the world's gonna replace Jimmy Buffett. We're just gonna honor him." Related: They paid respect to the island rock musician by leaving an empty guitar stand sitting center stage while his longtime collaborator, songwriter Scotty Emerick, joined McAnally, Will Kimbrough, and Nadirah Shakoor in sharing lead vocals. Also participating were Mick Utley (who took his retired father Mike's spot on keyboards), drummer Robert Greenidge, and on Crosby, Stills & Nash's song "Southern Cross," guitarist Peter Mayer. The group played 70 minutes of Buffett's most beloved hits, including "License to Chill," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," "Fins," "Come Monday," "Son of a Son of a Sailor," "A Pirate Looks at Forty," and "Margaritaville." The legend himself appeared onscreen briefly in a video chatting with McAnally during a concert, but the band overall kept the mood light and fun for their carefree Parrothead fans. As for The Doobie Brothers, they pulled out all the stops for their 90-minute set. The lineup featured founding members Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons, along with Michael McDonald on keyboards, John McFee on guitar, and Marc Russo on saxophone. They played lots of fan-favorite jams, including "Take Me in Your Arms (Rock Me a Little While)," "Minute By Minute," "Call Me," "Black Water," "Amazing Grace" (instrumental)/ "Takin' It to the Streets," and "Listen to the Music." They even did an extended version of "Dependin' on You." The Walk This Road Tour runs until September 18th, 2025. Eminem Details Past Overdose, Addiction Struggles in New Documentary
Originally appeared on E! Online Eminem's ability to lose himself in his addiction prompted a major change. In his new documentary Stans, the 'Mockingbird' rapper reflected on his past habit of abusing prescription pills—including Vicodin, Valium, Ambien and Xanax—starting in the late '90s until around 2008, resulting in a dangerous health scare. 'I got into this vicious cycle of, 'I'm depressed so I need more pills,'' Eminem said in the doc, per Us Weekly. 'Then your tolerance gets so high that you end up overdosing. I woke up in the hospital and I didn't know what happened. I woke up in the hospital with tubes in me and s--t and I couldn't get up, I wanted to move.' The 52-year-old (real name Marshall Mathers) noted that when returned home, he felt like he 'needed something' and that he was 'gonna die' if he didn't make a change. Beyond the health scare, he was compelled to fight back against his addiction after missing the birthday party of his and ex Kim Scott's daughter Hailie Jade, now 29. More from E! 'I kept saying to myself, 'Do you want to f--king miss this again? Do you want to miss everything? If you can't do it for yourself, you f--king p---y, at least do it for them.'' As a result, he recalled, 'I realized I'm never doing this again.' While the 'Lose Yourself' rapper has now been sober for 17 years, he explained that at the beginning of his journey he needed to 'relearn how to walk, talk and for the most part had to relearn how to rap again.' 'My writing had gotten terrible,' he said in the doc. 'When I started to get it back, it was exciting. Because I felt it. It would be conversations, just having conversations with people or the TV.' Eminem—also dad to Alaina, 32, and Stevie, 32, with Kim—added, 'It was hitting me really fast and I was writing songs really quickly.' And while working on his 2009 album Relapse, which detailed his experience with sobriety, he felt empowered by his ability to leave his addiction behind. 'It did something. It turned the light on,' Eminem explained. 'I realized I'm not embarrassed anymore about [sobriety]. I started treating sobriety like a superpower and I took pride in the fact that I was able to quit.' Read on for more stars who have gotten candid about their struggles with addiction.
