Babulal Marandi accuses Hemant Soren government of falsely implicating Hindu leaders
Mr. Marandi alleged that the State Government has been trying to send its opponents, especially those associated with the Hindu community, to jail by implicating them in fake cases as part of a conspiracy.
He alleged that in the last five and a half years, many such examples have come to the public domain where innocent people have been made victims of conspiracy motivated by political vengeance.
'The State Government is once again preparing to implicate Ranchi youth Bhairav Singh in a new fake case. The facts related to Bhairav Singh that are coming to light, seems suspicious,' Mr. Marandi told the press in Ranchi.
Mr. Singh is local BJP leader of Ranchi and has been active in taking Hindutva agenda at large scale in the State capital. Mr. Singh had made the headlines after he had disturbed the CM's convoy following which FIR was lodged against him few years back.
Mr. Marandi further alleged the police officers conspiring at the behest of the government to implicate the common people in false cases. He asserted that it was easy to implicate but hard to prove in the court.
'It would be better to refrain from implicating people before they have to face legal consequences. The Chief Minister is requested to leave aside the prejudice and ensure an impartial investigation of this entire matter and save the future of the youth of the state from being ruined,' Mr. Marandi said.
Asked about issues which would be raised by the opposition in the assembly, Mr. Marandi said that it would be decided in the BJP legislature party meeting.
Assembly speaker Rabindra Nath Mahato also convened the all-party meeting in which Mr. Soren and Mr. Marandi was present. The five-day monsoon session will end on August 7, 2025.
During the meeting, it was decided that there will be a special debate on excess rainfall which has caused damage to the farmer's crops.
While coming out from the Speaker's chamber, Mr. Soren said that amid heavy rains, the monsoon session of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly has been convened and the session is going to be very important, because all the members have witnessed the heavy rainfall and damage done to crops.
Asked about opposition to create ruckus during the Assembly session, Mr. Soren said that opposition leaders will not gain anything out of chaos and the government is very sensitive towards the people of Jharkhand eight of urban or rural areas.
During the monsoon session, the government will present the first supplementary budget of the current financial year as well as several bills including the University Bill-2025 in the House.

Amit Shah holds meet with West Bengal MPs, kick-starts poll preparations
The BJP on Monday (August 4, 2025) got down to poll preparations for the coming Assembly elections in West Bengal, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah meeting the party MPs from that State, with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list and seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and Tribes coming in for special mention. The Election Commission (EC) had last week directed West Bengal's Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Agarwal to immediately begin preparations for a SIR of electoral rolls in the State, which heads to polls next year. 'Apart from this, Amit bhai was clear that the issues of women safety following the RG Kar incident need to be kept front and centre as well as assessment of the BJP's performance in SC/ST reserved seats,' said a source. Present at the meeting were West Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya and BJP general secretary in-charge of the State, Sunil Bansal. Mr. Bhattacharya said general issues with regard to poll preparations were discussed, but declined to elaborate. Mr. Shah also held a meeting via video conference with district-level leaders of West Bengal BJP as well as party MLAs, to speak about poll preparations there. West Bengal, Kerala, Assam and Tamil Nadu go to polls early next year.

SC questions U.P.'s use of ordinance to take control of Banke Bihari temple
NEW DELHI The Supreme Court on Monday (August 4, 2025) questioned the Uttar Pradesh government's haste in promulgating an ordinance to take over the management of the ancient Banke Bihari temple at Vrindavan in Mathura. A Bench headed by Justice Surya Kant also expressed disapproval of the 'clandestine' manner employed by the State to secure the court's permission, getting a judgment on May 15 by filing a civil dispute to use temple funds to develop the Shri Banke Bihari Temple Corridor project. The Bench orally considered recalling its directions in the May verdict allowing the use of the temple funds for the corridor development project, which may spell a blow to the State Government's plans. The court also suggested passing an order to have a committee manage the temple until the High Court decided the validity of the ordinance. The Bench adjourned the case to August 5, asking Additional Solicitor General KM Nataraj, who appeared for Uttar Pradesh, to take instructions from the State Government on the suggestions.
