Triptii Dimri's Preet Re Song Gets A Big Shoutout From Rumoured Beau Sam Merchant
After the emotional weight of the first song, Bas Ek Dhadak, Dhadak 2 releases its second track titled Preet Re. Featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, the song moves away from spectacle and leans into capturing the simplicity of young love. Soon after the song dropped, Triptii took to social media to provide the audience a glimpse of the music video.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Triptii Dimri shared a snippet from the Preet Re music video, originally posted by Sam Merchant. Preet re-offers the audience a look into the early stages of romance between Siddhant and Triptii's character in Dhadak 2. In the music video, Siddhant and Triptii appear to be law college students who slowly fall in love with each other. The music video reflects everyday romantic moments with fun and light-hearted visuals, mirroring the relatable experiences of affection and new romance.
With lyrics like 'Dhadkan yeh hi kehti hai, dil mein tu hi rehti hai," Preet Re captures the magical moment when two people slowly fall for each other. The song builds on the emotional narrative of the original Dhadak while giving it a fresh and subtle modern spin. Composed by Rochak Kohli, the lyrics are written by Gurpreet Saini and are sung by Darshan Raval, Jonita Gandhi, and Rochak Kohli himself. As per Bollywood Hungama reports, speaking about the track, lead singer Darshan Raval shared, 'Preet Re is not just a melody; it is a feeling. It's about the quiet, beautiful moments when you realise someone means the world to you."
Backed by Dharma Productions, Zed Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures, Dhadak 2 is a spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak and a remake of a Tamil film titled Pariyerum Perumal. Directed by Shazia Iqbal, Dhadak 2 revolves around the love story of Nilesh (played by Siddhant Chaturvedi) and Vidhi (played by Triptii Dimri). However, their relationship is put to the test when a series of mishappenings occur that threaten to drift them apart. The film explores the themes of caste discrimination, societal boundaries, and prejudice. Dhadak 2 is set to hit the theatres on August 1, 2025, clashing with Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2.

Last Updated: Jaya Bhattacharya revealed she was the 'most underpaid' actor on Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, receiving just Rs 1000 raise in seven years. Actor Jaya Bhattacharya, best known for playing Payal Parikh in the iconic Indian soap opera Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, revealed she was the 'most underpaid' actor on the show. Jaya shared, 'I was the most underpaid actor. I never got a raise. Only once I asked for a raise, and while everyone got a raise of 2 thousand rupees, I got only 1 thousand. Ranbir Kapoor Thinks Wife Alia Bhatt Is Made Of 'Different Stuff': 'Her Ambition To…'
Mahesh Bhatt says daughter Alia Bhatt is a 'self-made girl,' praises her drive, and reveals Ranbir Kapoor finds her ambition 'astounding.' Alia Bhatt may have been launched by Karan Johar in Student of the Year, but her father Mahesh Bhatt says her rise has been entirely her own doing. Speaking on The Himanshu Mehta Show, the veteran filmmaker opened up about how Alia's ambition continues to surprise even those closest to her — including her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor. 'I didn't launch Alia Bhatt. Karan Johar launched her. I didn't know she had so much thirst for acting in her. She gave the audition herself. I just got to know they loved her work. I was shocked because I hadn't seen any such traits in her even remotely. I'm very happy she's a self-made girl," Mahesh said, reflecting on his daughter's unexpected journey into films. What impresses Mahesh most is Alia's appetite for risk and reinvention. 'Alia has astounded me! What is unique about her is that she has a taste for taking risks and she's taken the detours into diverse narratives." Now a mother to daughter Raha Kapoor, Alia has entered a new chapter in both her personal and professional life. 'I see a new depth in her. With this young girl becoming a mother, there's a coming-of-age of a different kind, a different kind of maturity in her. I'm also looking forward to her new films which would be coming out now," Mahesh added. Up next, Alia is leading Alpha, a spy thriller from the YRF Spy Universe, releasing this Christmas. She'll also reunite onscreen with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War next year. When asked about Ranbir's view of Alia, Mahesh shared a revealing moment. 'He says, 'Alia is made of different stuff.' When I ask him, 'What do you mean?,' he says, 'Her ambition to do more and more and more is unbelievably astounding!' While he's a person who's very laid-back and comforted, and he just wants to do enough. She's a go-getter." Mahesh also weighed in on the ongoing conversation around nepotism, acknowledging that while access does make things easier, it's not the whole story. 'Nepotism is a reality, but it's also not. Just because my child is talented, that doesn't mean I disqualify them," he said. He added, 'But it's definitely easy for them. Because access is success. Talented people don't even get access for years. It's important to understand that the voice that's been raised against nepotism, there's a collective anger behind that. That's why we get to hear about that every other day." First Published: July 28, 2025, 11:53 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
