'The Office' spinoff 'The Paper' premieres Sept. 4 on Peacock
The premise sees the documentary crew that followed the Dunder Mifflin paper company for nine seasons on The Office make a new feature -- this time they are following a small-town newspaper office.
Teaser art for The Paper features the name of the show's newspaper, The Toledo Truth Teller. Oscar Nuñez also reprises his role from The Office, Oscar Martinez.
The Paper stars Domhnall Gleeson, Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Alex Edelman, Ramona Young and Tim Key.
Eric Rahill, Tracy Letts. Molly Ephraim, Mo Welch, Allan Harvey, Duane Shepard Sr., Nate Jackson and Nancy Lenehan will guest star.
Four episodes premiere Sept. 4, with two more to be released every Thursday in September. Peacock first ordered the series in May 2024.

Judge Frank Caprio known as 'nicest judge in the world' dies at 88
Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Frank Caprio judge for the Providence Municipal Court in Rhode Island has died, his son, David Caprio announced. He was 88 years old. Frank Caprio shared the news on his father's social media accounts, stating Frank Caprio passed away "peacefully" and "surrounded by family. Frank Caprio was known for his show Caught in Providence, which received multiple Daytime Emmy award nominations, and he often went viral on TikTok for his compassion as he gained the title of "Nicest Judge in the World." "Beloved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond. His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him," a post on his social media account stated. In 2023, Caprio was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He shared his diagnosis in a social media post. His last radiation treatment was in the following May. Caprio grew up in Rhode Island and earned a bachelor's degree from Providence College. In his post-graduate time, he stayed in the capital city to teach American Government at Hope High School. During his time teaching, he studied law at night at the Suffolk University School of Law in Boston, where he founded the Antonio "Tup" Caprio Scholarship Fund. Arrangements for his funeral have not yet been announced.

Tom Cavanagh to co-star with Brooke Shields in 'You're Killing Me'

File Photo by John Angelillo/UPI | License Photo Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Ed, Superman & Lois and The Flash alum Tom Cavanagh has signed on to co-star with Brooke Shields in a new mystery drama, You're Killing Me. Sullivan's Crossing actress Amalia Williamson has also joined the cast. Production on the six-part series is to begin next month in Nova Scotia. The show, which Shields is also executive producing, is expected to premiere on Acorn TV in 2026. "Set in a quaint New England colonial town, You're Killing Me follows bestselling novelist (Shields) who forms an unlikely alliance with an aspiring writer and podcaster (Williamson) to find the killer of a close friend," a synopsis said. "Cavanagh is on board as Jack, the new lead detective of the Founders Cove Police Department and former city slicker who is trying to acclimate to the quirks of small-town life."

'Gangs of London' to return for Season 4
Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Britain's Sky announced Thursday it has renewed its crime drama Gangs of London for a fourth season. The show was created by Gareth Evans and airs on AMC in the United States. It stars Sope Dirisu, Joe Cole, Michelle Fairley, Lucian Msamati, Brian Vernel, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Narges Rashidi, Asif Raza Mir, Jahz Armando, Fady Elsayed, Andrew Koji, Richard Dormer, T'Nia Miller and Orli Shuka and Eri Shuka. Dirisu plays an undercover police detective embedded in a powerful family-run criminal organization. Season 3 premiered in March. No Season 4 premiere date has been announced yet.
