Abou El-Enein: Middle East is True Hub for Investment
Prominent Businessman Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Parliament Deputy Speaker stated that the Middle East is the true hub for investment and serves as a vast and dynamic market.
'We are witnessing mega projects with pride, and now is the time to maximize added value,' he said.
His remarks came during a press conference held on the sidelines of the Sixth QINGDAO Multinationals Summit in China.
The event was featured by media host Ahmed Moussa on his show Ala Mas'ouliyati (On My Responsibility), broadcast on 'Sada El-Balad' TV channel.
Abou El-Enein highlighted that China respects all principles and focuses on achieving development and economic growth without political motives.
'China possesses remarkable capabilities and strengths,' he added.
Moreover, he stressed that China's capacities are vast across various sectors, noting that Egypt boasts new industrial cities and an increasing number of investors engaged in diverse projects.
Abou El-Enein further noted that Egypt offers customs and tax exemptions in designated investment zones.
'An investor can reach Europe in just one hour, and travel to Saudi Arabia in less than 60 minutes,' he added, underlining Egypt's strategic geographical location and its appeal as a gateway for global investment.

Spain evacuates 44 wounded or ill children from Gaza - War on Gaza
Spain has evacuated 44 wounded or ill children from war-torn Gaza along with about 100 of their relatives over the past several months, the government said Tuesday. Four separate evacuation missions were carried out in coordination with international organisations and allied nations, Spain's migration ministry, which led the operations, said in a statement. The children and their families have been relocated across Spain to receive medical treatment, it added. Those brought to Spain will be eligible to apply for asylum. Migration Minister Elma Saiz said the operations demonstrated that "solidarity and international cooperation save lives". Socialist Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez's government has been among the most vocal critics in the European Union of Israel's ongoing military campaign in Gaza. Since 7 October 2023, Israel's genocidal war in Gaza has killed at least 61,499 people, most of them women and children, with more than 153,575 others wounded, according to the Palestinian health ministry. Chilean researchers explore second life for lithium-Ion batteries
H-Tayea A multidisciplinary team at the University of Chile is investigating how lithium-ion batteries degrade over time and how they could be repurposed to extend their usefulness and prevent large-scale waste accumulation. This is reported by TV BRICS. The research, led by the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, aims to anticipate a growing challenge in countries adopting electric mobility. In Santiago, 75 per cent of public transport relies on electric buses, and the number of private electric vehicles is rising. Batteries in these vehicles are typically replaced once they lose about 30 per cent of their capacity – even though they still retain the remaining 70 per cent. 'Large-scale implementation of electromobility brings new challenges and uncertainties that require practical solutions,' said Francisco Jaramillo, a member of the research team. One pressing question, he noted, is what to do with these batteries once they are retired from vehicles but remain functional. To address this, the team is analysing how different factors – such as temperature, operating time, environmental conditions, and geography – influence battery degradation. The goal is to create a 'usage profile' that predicts battery lifespan under specific conditions and determines their potential for a second life. Potential reuses include serving as backup power sources for critical infrastructure like telecom antennas, or storing energy from wind turbines and solar panels. By Ahmad El-Assasy Abu Dhabi is rapidly emerging as a leading artificial intelligence (AI) powerhouse in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), according to recent data from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), featured by TV BRICS. Between June 2023 and June 2024, the emirate's AI sector grew by 61%, now boasting 673 AI companies—a significant share of the nearly 90,904 AI firms worldwide. Over the first half of 2025 alone, 150 new AI companies were launched, driven by strategic investments, advanced infrastructure, and growing demand across diverse sectors.
