Man Utd, Arsenal and Liverpool stars' 'DMs to Sydney Sweeney' revealed
Hollywood star Sydney Sweeney has been inundated with DMs from Premier League footballers following her recent split. The 27-year-old, dubbed 'the sexiest woman in the world ', is now single after parting ways with her former partner, producer Jonathan Davino, earlier this year.
The couple started dating in 2018 and got engaged in 2022 but have now called off the wedding. Sydney, who rose to fame with her role in the hit HBO series Euphoria, has also starred in such films as 'Anyone But You' and 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', and she is reportedly now enjoying the single life stateside post-breakup.
However, she's also caught the attention of some of England's top footballers, who have offered to jet her off to Europe for romantic rendezvous. This comes after she snubbed Conor McGregor at a party.
An insider revealed to The Sun: "Her Instagram DMs are packed with messages from famous men trying to get in contact with her. It's mostly guys playing for teams like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal," reports the Daily Star.
"They offer her trips to Europe to see them and take her on a date, but she's not the kind of person who does that. Some of them are very insistent and have even tried to find her address to send her flowers, but she always refuses.
"I'd say more than 100 people, from celebs to millionaires or very rich people from the Middle East and Asia, contact her every month."
Her friends are now reportedly teasing that she's become "the most wanted woman in America since Madonna." Despite the playful tone of some admirers, Sweeney doesn't hesitate to hit back at any overzealous suitors stepping out of line.
The source said: "The ones who cross the line of respect are quickly blocked. Not long ago, an American actor who had recently divorced approached her to take her on a date.
"She declined and he started being very rude, so she told him to stop talking to her and to show some respect to her and all women."
It was rumoured that Sydney and Jonathan's romance had been on shaky ground for a while before they called it quits.
Sweeney's jam-packed filming diary is said to have played a part in the split, with her taking on both executive producer duties and the lead role in her latest project, The Housemaid.
In May, she opened up about enjoying her newfound single status, saying: "I'm learning a lot about myself, spending more time with my friends. And I'm loving it."
Sweeney has also made waves recently after starring in a campaign for American Eagle. In the advert, she confidently posed sans bra, accompanied by the punchy tagline: "Sydney Sweeney has great jeans".

Chad Michael Murray embraces his teen heartthrob legacy: ‘It's a blessing'
The American actor, 43, rose to fame in the early 2000s, appearing in TV series such as Gilmore Girls and Dawson's Creek, before landing the lead role in the teenage drama series One Tree Hill. Murray, who also starred in the 2003 comedy film Freaky Friday alongside Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, gained a reputation as a heartthrob among teenage girls during this era. The father–of-three, who is reprising his role as Jake, Lohan's character Anna's former love interest, in Freakier Friday, says he feels very fortunate to have had such an impact on a generation. 'I'm very, very blessed, very fortunate and lucky to be a part of a lot of really great movies and great stories that have affected a generation,' Murray told the PA news agency. 'That's really the only reason to be an actor for me. I just wanted to make people happy.' Murray, who grew up in a single father household in Buffalo, New York, says he moved to Hollywood, when he was 18 years old to pursue a career in acting. 'I think I moved there in September 1999 and I was with Warner Brothers by January 2000,' he said. Freakier Friday sees Lohan and Curtis return to their roles as mother and daughter, 22 years after the first film was released. The 2003 film saw Tess Coleman (Curtis) and musician Anna (Lohan) trade places, after reading fortune cookies at a Chinese restaurant. The story picks up with Lohan's character, Anna, now a mother to a teenage daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepmother. In the sequel, Anna's daughter Harper, played by Julia Butters and her soon-to-be stepdaughter Lily Davies, portrayed by Sophia Hammons, join Anna and her mother Tess in a wild, quadruple body swap. Reflecting on returning for the sequel, Murray said they had to work out how his character would realistically fit into the updated story. 'It's a house of cards, you move one piece and the whole thing kind of crashes down with four people switching bodies. So we had to be really careful and deliberate with the choices we made,' he said. 'I went straight into analytics mode. We had to flesh out who Jake has been over the last 22 years. What's he been up to? Where's he gone? What's the funniest choice here? And that's where we went. Then it just became exciting from there.' Murray added: 'My joking sales pitch for this film has been, this movie will make you live longer as it reduces cortisol levels. 'If this is the type of content I do for the rest of my life as an actor I'm done, I'm happy, I'm in.' The 2003 film was based on the 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers, which was previously turned into a 1976 movie starring Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris. Freakier Friday opens in UK cinemas on Friday, August 8.

Woke writer slammed for branding Sydney Sweeney 'a butterface who looks great in jeans'
A prominent progressive political scientist has been met with outrage after calling actress Sydney Sweeney ugly. 'She's a butterface who looks great in jeans,' Rachel Bitecofer, 48, wrote Monday in a post responding to Sweeney's controversial American Eagle ad. 'You sound jealous,' a user replied. 'Yer [sic] jealous. Clearly,' another said, in a torrent of more than 2,000 posts that almost all panned Bitecofer, a former lecturer at Christopher Newport University. Most questioned how she came to such a conclusion. The term 'butterface' is an insulting British slang word derived for a person who has a good body but unattractive face. Sweeney, at 27, has surfaced as a sex symbol as of late. At the same time, an American Eagle tagline in her ad - 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans' - didn't sit well with left-leaning audiences. Some left-wingers have claimed that the ad's deliberate word play on the word 'genes' is racist. 'She's a butterface who looks great in jeans,' Rachel Bitecofer, 48, wrote Monday in a post responding to Sweeney's controversial American Eagle ad Bitecofer went on to say that 'no-one on the left' is concerned with the Sweeney advert and that it was 'all rage porn' on right-wing social media. She did so despite a slew of news stories and opinion pieces on the advert published in The New York Times, CNN, NPR and NBC News. Sweeney's new fans include President Trump, after it was revealed the Euphoria actress is a registered Republican in her home state of Florida. 'She's a registered Republican?' the president said with interest on the tarmac of the Lehigh Valley International Airport outside of Allentown, Pennsylvania, on his way back to Washington after spending the weekend in Bedminster, New Jersey. 'You'd be surprised at how many people are Republican,' he added, after expressing surprise himself over the development. That's one I wouldn't have known, but I'm glad you told me that,' he said, before hailing her ad as 'fantastic.' The backlash to the political commentator's 'butterface' declaration was swift and merciless Bitecofer - the author of Politicize Everything: A Blueprint for a Party That Fights - appeared to view the backlash as a distractions that's being propped up by Republicans American Eagle has shrugged off controversy over the Sweeney advert and insists its company is an inclusive one. In a statement posted on American Eagle's Instagram account on Friday, the retailer said the ad campaign 'is and always was about the jeans. Her jeans. Her story. 'We'll continue to celebrate how everyone wears their AE jeans with confidence, their way. Great jeans look good on everyone,' it concluded. Sweeney, meanwhile, is a member of the Republican Party of Florida, according to public voter records viewed by the Daily Mail. The campaign in question launched last week. It remains unclear if the company knew how much controversy the ad was going to generate.

Douglas Luiz 'in talks over Premier League return' after nightmare year with Juventus following his £42m transfer from Aston Villa last summer
Nottingham Forest are eyeing a move for out-of-favour Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz, according to a report. The former Aston Villa star is expected to be sold by the Serie A giants this summer after disappointing maiden campaign in Turin. Luiz, who has been capped 18 times by Brazil, started just three league matches following his £42.4 million transfer last summer. According to Football Italia, the 27-year-old is attracting interest from Forest, who are set for talks with his representatives this week to hash out a deal. The outlet claim that the Premier League side 'have the priority' in the race for the midfielder despite interest from another side in the English top flight as well as a Saudi Pro League side. Forest are reportedly keen to agree an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy in the region of £26m (€30m). Last month, reports claimed that Luiz failed to report for the first day of Juventus' training camp. A decision that is expected to see him punished by the Turin side. In April, he hit back at criticism he has faced after a nightmare first year. On an Instagram post, a fan replied to Luiz and questioned him on whether he had moved to Italy to post on Instagram or to play. 'I didn't come here just to post photos,' Luiz fired back. 'No one else did that, and I want things to be different. I came here with a purpose. I listened to my heart when I arrived and decided to sign. 'Now I want you to answer me: why hasn't a signing like mine played two consecutive games with this shirt? 'You can say what you want to the press later: 'Oh, Douglas is not fit.' Am I not fit? I did all the pre-season and played every game. I had just had one of the best seasons of my career, one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.' Luiz did go onto reflect on his injury issues in the lengthy reply, before he reaffirmed his commitment to Juventus. It has been a stormy year off the field for Luiz, who reportedly split from his footballer girlfriend Alisha Lehmann in May over different visions for their futures. They first began dating in 2021 before they broke up a year later and rekindled at the start of 2024. Since then, the couple had enjoyed a close relationship and both sealed a move to Italian giants Juventus during the summer window last year. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lehmann and Luiz split some time ago and the pair are seen having different futures with Juventus, with the former expected to stay while the latter may leave. Luiz only played once during Juventus' Club World Cup campaign, which lasted four games, and that was as a second-half substitute in their first match against Emirati side Al Ain - when the Italians were already 4-0 up.
