
Tamkeen supports three Bahrainis in the Video Gaming Industry
The Labour Fund 'Tamkeen' has announced the training of three Bahrainis in video game development at the renowned Japanese company, NatsumeAtari. This initiative is part of the Global Ready Talent Programme, aimed at empowering Bahrainis by enhancing their skills and accelerating their professional growth in emerging fields through international training experiences with leading global companies.
This support aligns with Tamkeen's strategic priorities for 2025, which focuses on enhancing the position and competitiveness of Bahrainis in the private sector, equipping Bahrainis with suitable skills for career development in the private sector, and prioritizing enterprise growth, digitization, and sustainability, and supporting the development of the ecosystem surrounding the labor market and private sector.
On this occasion, Ms. Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), stated: ' The gaming industry in the GCC region alone is estimated to be worth around USD 821 million. The Global Ready Talent Programme aims to provide participants with hands-on experience at international companies, accelerating their professional growth and supporting our strategic goals for 2025, which focus on enhancing Bahraini competitiveness and fostering the growth and sustainability of local enterprises.'
Meanwhile, Mr. Hiro Koide, CEO of NatsumeAtari, expressed his delight in welcoming and training Bahraini talent at the company. He stated: ' Through this year-long programme, we hope to share the knowledge and expertise we have gained in Japan with young Bahraini developers, contribute to the growth of the gaming industry in the Kingdom, and serve as a bridge connecting the gaming industries of Japan and the Middle East.'
As part of the programme, participants will gain handson experience in video game development and project management based on Japanese methodologies. They will also learn the Japanese language and culture, fostering cultural exchange between Japan and Bahrain. Additionally, the trainees will work on projects that allow them to leverage their cultural understanding of the Middle East's market unique needs.

'With Expo 2025 taking place in Osaka and Saudi Arabia hosting Expo 2030 in Riyadh, our two countries stand at the forefront of global exchange, showcasing the latest innovations and sustainable technologies, and contributing to shaping an inclusive future for all.' The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka hosts hundreds of business events aimed at strengthening trade and investment relations between the Kingdom and Japan. These include presentations led by the Ministries of Investment and Commerce, as well as events highlighting the trade and investment opportunities offered by Saudi Vision 2030. Trade volume between the two countries has grown significantly over the past decade, rising from $33.4 billion to over $41 billion currently. The Saudi Pavilion aims to increase the number of Japanese visitors to the Kingdom, targeting 30,000 annual visitors before Expo 2030 Riyadh. This is part of the comprehensive Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 strategy, which includes more than 80 projects across nine sectors: culture, food and agricultural security, media and entertainment, healthcare, advanced infrastructure, finance and investment, competitive industries, energy, small and medium enterprises, sports, and education. Cultural exchange between the two countries has flourished, highlighted by Saudi Arabia's role in bringing Japanese culture to the Middle East through local manga studios, whose works will be showcased at the Saudi Pavilion in August. The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka offers more than 700 diverse and engaging events, including daily shows and live performing arts. Since the Expo opened in April 2025, it has attracted over 500,000 visitors. On September 23, it is expected to host a variety of events and presentations in celebration of Saudi National Day.

INJAZ Bahrain hosts the 17th Annual Young Entrepreneurs Competition
INJAZ Bahrain proudly concluded its 17th annual Young Entrepreneurs Competition at Crowne Plaza Bahrain, marking a significant milestone in fostering entrepreneurial spirit and innovation among Bahraini youth. Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairperson of INJAZ Bahrain, the event showcased the remarkable talents of over 1,000 students from local high schools and universities.
