'Young Sheldon' Star's 'Hauntingly Beautiful' Taylor Swift Cover Shocks Fans

Young Sheldon alum Mckenna Grace's "hauntingly beautiful" take on an emotional track has left fans in shock.
The 18-year-old recently posted a cover of the Eras Tour superstar's "Nothing New," one of the vault tracks released with her rerecorded version of Red. It details the worries of a young woman in the age and appearance-obsessed entertainment industry, calling out the hypocrisy Swift faced as a teenager in the spotlight.
The same track was recently covered by the artist known as Role Model—his performance drew mixed reactions from Swifties, who demanded to know, "what does a man know about" this? Grace's cover, however, drew high praise from fans.

"Uh oh we have a double threat over here 😌," one wrote of the actress, while someone else predicted her casting in a highly anticipated—though currently postponed—live-action Disney remake.
"She will play Rapunzel mark my words," they declared.
"Oh wow that's actually a hauntingly beautiful cover," another Swiftie admitted, while another newcomer to Grace's talent replied, "beautiful voice, I loved it 😍."
Many were unfamiliar with the former child star, with one wondering, "Who is this diva?" and another suggesting, "I might have to stan," after hearing the cover.
Meanwhile, those who've seen her in countless of their favorite shows and movies over the years, from Once Upon a Time's Young Emma to Amazon's Troop Zero, quipped, "imagine not knowing her."
Fans of the up-and-coming singer encouraged those unfamiliar with her to "go check her music too," emphasizing, "shes really talented 😁."
"Her own music is so good, too!" another fan agreed. "Y'all should check it out."
Grace's debut album, Bittersweet 16, was released in 2023. She also has several singles and and the Autumn Leaves EP under her belt.

Caitlin Clark certainly is. The 23-year-old WNBA star, who is a proud Swiftie, reacted with excitement to Taylor Swift announcing her 12th album, The Life of a Showgirl, during a teaser for the upcoming episode of her boyfriend Travis Kelce's podcast New Heights. In the comments on clip, Clark wrote, "AHHHHHHH!!!!!! LFGGGGGG," which stands for "Let's f---ing go." Clark's comment was liked nearly 30,000 times as of Wednesday, Aug. 13. On Wednesday, the day that Swift will make her debut on New Heights, Clark took to X with a valid concern. "Are we sure YouTube isn't going to crash tonight?" she wrote in a post, adding a nervous laughing emoji. The Indiana Fever star is a big fan of Swift's, and has developed a friendship with the singer in recent years. After Clark attended two shows on the Eras Tour in Indianapolis, Swift sent her four bags of merchandise as a thank you gift. In January, Clark joined Swift to cheer on Kelce and the Chiefs in their playoff win over the Houston Texans. Speaking to ESPN after spending time with Swift, Clark said the superstar singer is a good friend who advises her on life in the spotlight. Clark said she and the pop superstar shared 'real conversations' during the game. 'I think what people don't always realize about people with a certain spotlight, whether it's her, whether it's me, whether it's another professional athlete or a pop star, we're real people,' Clark told ESPN. 'We're just having normal conversations as any other person in Arrowhead Stadium that night,' the WNBA star explained. 'She loves the Chiefs just as much as I do. I'm talking football with her. She loved it, and just like her passion, and honestly, probably one of the sweetest people I've ever been around," she continued. "And everybody says that when you meet her, but it's really true. She just treats everybody with the same amount of kindness, and her family was great.' Swift announcing her new album on Kelce's podcast came as a surprise to fans at first, but Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said on Aug. 13 that New Heights is the best place for the singer to share the news because she "can be herself and showcase who she is" around her beau. Taylor Swift says she was in a 'state of perpetual physical discomfort' while performing on the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift says life on her record-breaking Eras Tour wasn't all glitz and glamour. During an appearance on the " New Heights" podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce, the pop star spoke about the physical toll of performing on the stage night after night. When asked how she felt after wrapping up her tour after months on the road, Swift said she felt "great." "I miss it. I do miss it, but it's like it was perfect for what it was. Do you know what I mean? And it was a lot of physical therapy, and it was a lot of being in a state of perpetual physical discomfort — kind of like when you're in season, " Swift told the brothers. The singer added that she kept an acupuncture mat in the hotel room that she used after the shows. The Eras Tour, which grossed over $2 billion, consisted of 149 shows held across 21 countries. Each concert lasted an average of three hours and fifteen minutes, depending on the set list and the weather. Despite the grueling schedule, Swift says she misses her fans and the connection she was able to share with them during the tour. "It was so special. It was the most formative time of my life. I learned so much about how far I can push myself if I set a goal," Swift said. Committing to such a lengthy set from the beginning of a tour was a significant commitment, she added. "Making that a three-and-a-half-hour show at the beginning of the tour, it's like you can't be sick one day and then decide tonight it's going to be two-and-a-half hours," Swift said. "It's really just prioritizing the fans' experience before anything else." That includes things like stomach flu, aching feet, or blisters, she added. Looking back on the experience, Swift said she wouldn't do anything differently. "I'm glad that I got to actually be prepared for this tour the way that I was," she said. Unlike previous tours, where she only hit her stride toward the final stretch, Swift said she wanted to have her stamina from day one. "That's why I did so much more training, so much more endurance training, and cardio, and stuff that doesn't come naturally because I'm not an athlete, so it's like that stuff I have to really force myself to do," she said. Swift previously said she ran on the treadmill while "singing the entire set list out loud" to train for the tour. She also took three months of dance training and cut out alcohol for the duration of the tour. Swift announced her coming album, " The Life of a Showgirl," in a preview clip from the podcast that was released on Tuesday.
