Denis Villeneuve is working on his return to Arrakis which is reported to be an adaptation of Dune: Messiah.
After earning $700 million at the worldwide box office along with critical acclaim, Dune: Part Two was one of the biggest and most successful movies of 2024. Both Dune and Dune: Part Two were adapted from Frank Herbert's first novel, Dune. Now, Denis Villeneuve is working on his return to Arrakis which is reported to be an adaptation of Dune: Messiah. It is officially titled Dune: Part Three, as listed in Rentrack.
According to Variety, some of the sequences in Dune: Part Three will be shot with IMAX cameras. However, it will not be entirely shot with IMAX cameras, just like Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. FYI, Nolan's film was the first and so far only film to be filmed that way.
Talking to CNBC, Imax CEO Richard Gelfond was earlier asked whether Amazon MGM Studios hired Denis Villeneuve to direct their reboot of the James Bond franchise. While answering, he also opened up about the director's plans for Dune: Part Three at Warner Bros and Legendary Entertainment.
He said, 'From a personal point of view, I was really happy. I like him. I think he's a genius filmmaker." Further, he added, 'He's so creative. He's making the next 'Dune' — with Imax cameras, he's filming the whole thing. So we haven't started talking yet, but I'm praying that that's the case with Bond."
Dune: Part Three is set to go on floors soon, with Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya returning to reprise their roles. Along with them, Jason Momoa has also confirmed to be returning for Part Three. Momoa was a part of the cast in the first Dune but was not featured in Part Two. The much-awaited installment is expected to release in December 2026.
Shortly after Dune: Part Two's release, Denis Villeneuve sat down for a chat with The Wrap and shared that he is grateful to have worked on the Dune movies but also eager to return to Arrakis. In an interesting revelation, he also said that Dune: Part Three will not be the conclusion of a trilogy, but rather an adaptation of the second novel in a long series of books.

Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro's comedy film 'Meet The Parents 4' gets a new title

Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro starring movie 'Meet the Parents 4' has officially been renamed 'Focker in Law'. Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro starring movie 'Meet the Parents 4' has officially been renamed 'Focker in Law', reported Variety. Along with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, the fourth instalment of the series will also star Blythe Danner, Teri Polo and Owen Wilson, with singer Ariana Grande joining the cast as per the outlet. The new film's title references the surname of Stiller's character, Greg Focker in the film. In the original movie, Stiller's character endures a lot of painfully awkward hijinks while visiting his girlfriend's parents for the first time. 'Meet the Parents,' which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, became a box office blockbuster with 330 million USD worldwide, reported Variety. This comedy film then spawned two commercially successful sequels: 2004's 'Meet the Fockers' (which introduced Greg's parents, Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman) and 2010's 'Little Fockers.' Stiller teased the next instalment during a 25th anniversary screening of 'Meet the Parents,' saying they only returned because they found an "organic reason" to revisit these characters, reported Variety. "What spurred the idea is that I'm the age that Bob was when we did the first movie. It felt like a mirror to the first film, where one of my kids is thinking about introducing his person to the family," said Stiller to the crowd at Tribeca Festival as quoted by Variety. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Access all TV channels anywhere, anytime Techno Mag Learn More Undo De Niro revealed he's read the screenplay, though he stopped short of offering any plot details. Not Ahaan Panday Or Aneet Padda, But THIS Real-Life Bollywood Couple Was 1st Choice For Saiyaara

Saiyaara is breaking records at the box office. Within just 11 days, it has netted over Rs 250 crore in India. Saiyaara has emerged as one of the biggest surprise blockbusters of the year, catapulting debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda to instant stardom. The Mohit Suri-directed romantic drama has captivated audiences with its fresh pairing and soulful soundtrack. However, not many know that the film was originally planned with another Bollywood power couple. According to a report by Scoopwhoop, real-life couple Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani were the initial choices to headline Saiyaara. The duo had previously shared remarkable on-screen chemistry in Shershaah, which not only won hearts but also sparked their off-screen romance. The makers reportedly approached the couple before finalising Ahaan and Aneet, but the discussions did not materialise. In a recent interview, director Mohit Suri shed more light on the casting process. He admitted he was considering a cast of established actors when producer Aditya Chopra intervened. Suri recalled Chopra saying, 'Your film won't work with known faces—it's a story of two youngsters. Let's cast fresh faces." When Suri asked who would take such a risk in today's box office climate, Chopra simply responded, 'I will." That leap of faith paid off handsomely. Interestingly, Suri and Sidharth Malhotra have previously collaborated on the 2014 hit Ek Villain. The director is also known for frequently working with actors he trusts, including Emraan Hashmi, Shraddha Kapoor, and Aditya Roy Kapur. Given their successful history, Sidharth's association with Saiyaara seemed like a natural fit—until the fresh casting choice changed the game. As for the film's performance, Saiyaara is breaking records at the box office. Within just 11 days, it has netted over Rs 250 crore in India. With strong word-of-mouth and steady footfalls, trade analysts expect the romantic drama to easily cross the Rs 300 crore mark by week's end. If it continues to hold against new releases like Son Of Sardaar 2 and Dhadak 2, Saiyaara could potentially end its theatrical run between Rs 375 crore and Rs 400 crore.
