Jamie Carragher shares snaps of his daughter's 21st fancy dress party as Liverpool legend steals the show with hilarious costume

Jamie Carragher pulled out all the stops for his daughter Mia's 21st birthday party - including dressing up as none other than Willy Wonka.
The Liverpool legend ditched his usual pundit attire for a purple velvet coat, top hat, and oversized bow tie as he channeled the eccentric chocolate factory owner in celebration of his daughter's milestone.
Mia, who was dressed as Poison Ivy, marked her birthday in style with a lavish party surrounded by family and friends. But it was her dad's eye-catching outfit that stole the show on social media.
Carragher, 46, posed proudly in full costume, sharing photos and videos from the party on Instagram.
He wrote: 'What a great night for Mia's 21st birthday fancy dress party,' alongside a heart, dancing and beers emojis.
Adding to the fun, Carragher fully embraced his Willy Wonka persona by taking the mic and performing Pure Imagination, the iconic song from the classic 1971 film.
Meanwhile, Jamie's son, James Carragher, who plays professionally for Wigan, also got into the fancy dress spirit by channelling a Peaky Blinders vibe by dressing in a sharp three-piece suit, flat cap, and pocket watch.
Mia is an actress, having graduated from Tring Park Performing Arts School in 2022. When she was younger, she trained as a dancer at Rare Studios in Liverpool.
She has appeared in multiple movies, including: 'One Night in Istanbul', 'The Gathering' and 'Watering Hole'.
Mia boasts over 89,300 followers on Instagram, where she shares photos of her travels, lifestyle and career ventures.
Meanwhile, she posts funny videos and vlogs on her Tiktok account, where she has amassed a further 59,200 fans.
Last month she made a brief appearance while her dad was on punditry duty for CBS' Champions League coverage.
After his phone run live on air, Carragher answered: 'Hiya babe, are you okay? I'm on TV.'
Micah Richards joked: 'Well, there goes the Emmy,' before Carragher explained that Mia was simply asking where her mother was. He told his daughter: 'I don't know, I'm in London, babe. I'm in the studio.'
Scott then asked Carragher if Mia would like to go on loud speaker, to which she appeared to oblige.
After being informed by Richards then she had interrupted the live show, Mia's opening words were: 'Oh my God, I am so sorry. I didn't have a clue [he was on live TV].'
Carragher then hilariously asked: 'Are you not putting the dodgy box on?' as CBS's coverage is only available in the United States.
Host Kate Scott then took her opportunity to ask Mia: 'I am so interested, your dad can be a little bit spiky on TV, what's he like at home?' to which Mia replied: 'He is lovely.'
After her response was met by a crescendo of awws in the studio, the Liverpool legend said: 'I love you more than anything my girl. What a star.'
He added: 'There is nothing this girl can ever do wrong. I can't ever shout at her, I find it hard to shout at you don't I?'

Jeremy Clarkson launches new version of UK favourite product only available to customers of his pub

JEREMY Clarkson is to finally offer tomato ketchup to punters at his The Farmer's Dog boozer after a UK firm produced an all-British one. TV star Jezza, 65, will also flog bottles of the condiment at his Diddly Squat farm as it meets his UK-only ingredients condition. An Isle of Wight company took on the challenge after the subject arose on Clarkson's Farm. It came after thousands of requests for ketchup at Jezza's pub in Burford, Oxon, saw staff put up a sign urging diners not to bother asking for it. The firm, Condimaniac, uses Isle of Wight tomato passata, apple cider vinegar from Hants, Essex salt and British sugar and onions. Boss Kier Kemp said: 'Making a 100 per cent British ketchup after Jeremy Clarkson alerted us to the fact there wasn't one was very hard. "We had to put on our big boy pants.' The firm made 1,700 bottles for its first order to be sold at the pub's one-stop butcher and bottle shop and at Clarkson's farm in Chipping Norton. The firm's own supplies of the £7.95 red sauce have sold out. A source close to Clarkson's pub said: 'Jeremy and the team support the British food and farming industry. 'So he made no apologies for not selling ketchup, no matter how many times staff had to let customers down. 'But the pub 's always said that if a British company could do it with all-British ingredients, it would get on the menu. Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan admits she is 'not making any money from farming' despite show appearance 'Hopefully it'll be a success.' 2

First Match of the Day lineup after Gary Lineker's exit is revealed with TWO legendary England strikers on the punditry panel - as new hosts all vow not to post about controversial issues

The first Match of the Day lineup since Gary Lineker's departure has been revealed, according to reports. Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan and Kelly Cates will begin hosting duties on the BBC 's flagship football show this weekend as the new Premier League season kicks off with reigning champions Liverpool against Bournemouth on Friday. It marks a new direction for the programme after Lineker, who was the mainstay presenter for 26 years on Match of the Day, waved farewell after being axed by the BBC in May over a social media post he shared which ignited an antisemitism row. Only one of the three presenters will take part in Saturday's season curtain-raiser, given the trio have agreed to share hosting responsibilities throughout the campaign. According to the Telegraph, Chapman will host the show and be joined by pundits Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney. Cates, meanwhile, is scheduled to host the BBC's coverage of European football next week. Shearer was a regular fixture on Match of the Day during the latter stages of Lineker's 26-year stint and continues to work with his former England team-mate on various podcasts including The Rest is Football. Rooney is set to sit alongside Shearer on the maiden Match of the Day for the 2025-26 season, having signed a new deal with the Beeb as he awaits the next opportunity in his managerial career. The England legend has yet to return to management since being sacked by Plymouth in 2024, which came after disappointing spells at DC United and Birmingham City. Ahead of the first show, the new Match of the Day hosts replacing Lineker have promised not to post about controversial issues on social media. Prior to his Match of the Day departure, the 64-year-old presenter shared an Instagram story about Zionism featuring a rat - a symbol used by the Nazis to characterise Jews as vermin. Lineker, who apoligised, deleted the post and admitted his departure from Match of the Day was the 'responsible course of action' back in May, left without a payoff from his £1.4million-a-year salary. The antisemitism row is understood to have been the final straw for BBC bosses after Lineker made a habit of posting about a range of controversial issues, from the war in Gaza to the government's immigration policy. Chapman, Logan and Cates have vowed to steer clear of posting about controversial topics, keeping in line with the BBC's social media guidelines. Logan, Chapman and Cates have vowed to steer clear of posting about controversial topics Logan told Radio Times: 'I've been conducting myself on social media while working at the BBC for nearly two decades. 'The broadcaster is probably under the most scrutiny of any in the country because of the way it's funded and because it's accountable to the public. That's how it should be. We strive to have the highest standards. Hopefully, we'll just get on with our jobs.' Cates added: 'I don't think I've ever really weighed in that much on anything that isn't either about football or something quite silly. That's not how I've ever used social media. 'It helps that we're all really different from Gary, in that he goes in with a profile of his own as an England legend. It's a very different career path. An ex-player taking over would be a more direct comparison.'
