Lana is expected to include the track on her long-awaited next album but fans were quick to pick up on the star directly referencing Ethel in the song's lyrics and confirming their rivalry.
Tagging Jack Antonoff as the song's producer, Lana's fans were left stunned to realise she was taking a jab at Ethel.
In the teased lyrics, she can be heard singing: "Ethel Cain hated my Instagram post / Think it's cute reenacting my Chicago pose."
Many fans were quick to assume that Lana was making a dig at Ethel for posing for photos with Lana's ex-boyfriend, Jack Donoghue, a musician in the band Salem.
Ethel posted a photo alongside Jack that was very similar to one shared by Lana whilst she was in a relationship with the hunk.
Not much was known about Lana and Jack's romance but they were believed to be romantically involved between 2022 and 2024.
Whilst Jack and Ethel also appeared to hang out with one another at one time, it has never been clarified if they dated.
Jack is also understood to have dated Julia Fox and Courtney Love as well as sharing photos to his own social media accounts kissing different men in the past.
However, Lana continued to fuel rumours of a rift with Ethel with even more lyrics which appeared to be directed at her.
One part of the track contained the words: 'The most famous girl at the Waffle House / I don't regret it / The most famous girl at the Waffle House.'

This appeared to be in reference to a 2023 New York Times profile piece on Ethel which referred to her in the headline as "the most famous girl at the Waffle House".
Ethel soon confirmed the feud with her own social media post when she took to Instagram to confirm she had been blocked by her music rival.
In a post she shared to her story, Ethel wrote: "Update: Lana Del Ray has blocked Ethel Cain on Instagram."
The drama continued when Lana went on to leave a length Instagram comment about what was behind her sudden feud with her musical counterpart.
Lana explained: 'I didn't know who Ethel was until a few years ago — when someone brought to my attention the disturbing and graphic side-by-side images she would often put up of me next to unflattering creatures and cartoon characters making constant comments about my weight, I was confused at what she was getting at.
"Then when I heard what she was saying behind closed doors from mutual friends and started inserting herself into my personal life I was definitely disturbed.'

Frankie Bridge uses 'best concealer' as fans hail her 'goddess of beauty'
Loose Women star Frankie Bridge has been sharing her go-to beauty buys on social media, including a £28 concealer that 'covers all imperfections' Frankie Bridge fans have been desperate to know which products the ITV star used in a recent clip she shared to social media. The Loose Women panellist posted a makeup tutorial on Instagram earlier this month, showing her followers what items she loves to use on holiday. Frankie could be seen using Estée Lauder's Double Wear Concealer that can be purchased on Sephora from £28. This beauty buy has been hailed as the 'best concealer' by several reviewers, and it boasts an average overall rating of 4.5 out of five stars. The oil-free concealer comes in eight shades and is said to offer transfer-resistant, medium coverage in a matte finish. Frankie listed all of the makeup products she applied during her Instagram video in a post on shopping app LTK. Other items the former Saturdays singer used include the KOSAS Cloud Set Airy Setting Mist which costs £34 on Cult Beauty. This top-rated product promises to lock makeup in place for up to 12 hours. Frankie also featured the £32 Vieve Modern Radiance Cream Bronzer which comes in light to deep shades. The lightweight formula is enriched with nourishing ingredients to leave skin smooth. For those looking to emulate Frankie's look with other concealers, I swear by the Huda Beauty #FAUXFILTER Concealer for £26 at Boots. One reviewer said of the product: "Amazing, perfect shade match and very hydrating." Our beauty team also love the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer that's £28 on LookFantastic. It's described as long-wearing and provides medium to full coverage. With 30 shades available, shoppers can find a colour for every skin tone. Beauty fans were swooning over Frankie's holiday makeup look after she posted her tutorial to Instagram, with one person saying: "You are like the goddess of beauty!" Another was keen to buy the items Frankie applied, saying: "Frankie could you link all the products you used please?" In reviews for the ITV star's Estée Lauder concealer, shoppers have raved about how how the long-lasting the product is. One person said: A little goes a long way! Lasts all day and great coverage." A second wrote: "I have been using this product for the last 5 years. It is the best concealer that I have used. I am satisfied and happy with it." However, someone else wasn't as pleased, adding: "Great product, I found it a little thin and coverage doesn't last all day." Another customer did enjoy their purchase though, writing: "I have tried every concealer out there and this one is my favourite. It truly covers all my imperfections. I am 57 and I won't buy any other brand. I absolutely love this product."

Brit comic breaks silence on Turkey Zara shoplifting arrest hell
Cerys Nelmes, who works as a stand-up comic in Bristol, is facing a minimum of one-year in prison after she was caught leaving a Zara in Turkey with unpaid items A British comic has broken her silence after being arrested in Turkey for allegedly stealing three items from Zara. Mum-of-one Cerys Nelmes could be sent to a Turkish prison for three years after she was accused of thieving clothes from the Istanbul store on July 22. Police have prohibited Cerys from leaving the country while the claims are investigated. Footage has since emerged of the stand-up comedian first browsing the store with an armful of clothes on hangers and other items in her backpack. She is then seen leaving the store while clearly distracted by her phone. She claims that she completely forgot she was carrying items that she hadn't paid for. She has now taken to Instagram to share details of how she is being treated as a suspect in a criminal case abroad, claiming she's been "left to fend for myself" and hit with a huge £6,500 bill in legal costs. She said: "As much as I love the fact that most people in the UK are thinking that I'm being treated over here exactly like foreign citizens in the UK are treated, that is not the case! "I have been left to fend for myself. The only people helping me have been friends and family. I currently owe over £6500 for a lawyer, interpreters, change of power of attorney, a bed to sleep in and food for breakfast. My country are not helping me whatsoever. And let's remember, it was 3 items, one of which has since been paid for. "I'm currently being held here until the trial. No one knows when that is. The minimum I will get is one year in prison. The maximum is 3 years. For less than £100 in value. I will tell my story when I eventually get home. There's more to it than people think." Cerys previously said she returned to the store without argument over the forgotten 6,000 lira (£110)-worth of clothing still in her backpack. But she told her social media followers she was then detained and locked in a room for hours with no explanation. From there, she was taken to a police station and said she was pressured to sign documents in a language she could not read. She was released on probation by a judge after 24 hours in a holding cell, allegedly with no food, water or loo. She has since been released but has been forbidden from leaving the country and is being put up by a local family as she does not have the money for an extended stay. The police investigation is ongoing. "I was told they didn't understand me," said Nelmes. The next day, she was brought before a judge who released her but banned her from leaving the country. She now faces a potential three-year sentence as the case proceeds. Ms Nelmes says she is stranded in Turkey, unable to afford accommodation and missing out on work back home, putting her and her son at risk of losing their UK home. She said: "I'm ok and have been taken in by a Turkish family who gave me food and a bed. I don't deserve all the kind words from people but I am very grateful." On her website it states of her career: "Cerys has worked very hard to forge a strong career in the comedy industry. She is a leading mc on the comedy circuit, working for major UK clubs and UK charity events. Cerys has a fantastic stage presence and her audience interaction is flawless."
