Queen's Catalog Is Still Growing, With One Massive Album Leading The Way
Queen never really needs help when it comes to the charts in the United Kingdom. The hometown heroes always seem to find space with one album or another, and in some instances, several at the same time. This frame, the band is doing more than just hanging on, as the group's work is on the rise yet again. The latest charts bring good news for the rock icons, as multiple albums reappear, many of them improve, and across the board, Queen's catalog is hugely successful once more.
This week in the U.K., three of Queen's albums manage to appear on at least one ranking apiece. Two of them hold steady on a single tally each, while one of the band's most successful collections is in the middle of a serious resurgence. That particular title shows up on five charts simultaneously, returning to one and gaining ground on all the others.
As is almost always the case, Greatest Hits is Queen's most successful effort on the charts. The title appears on five different U.K. rankings this frame, returning to one while growing in stature on the remaining four.
Greatest Hits climbs five spaces to No. 31 on the Official Albums Streaming chart, where it currently stands out as the band's top-performing title. It also bounces back into the top 40 on the all-important Official Albums chart, the list that ranks the most consumed full-lengths in the country. On that tally, the set vaults from No. 42 to No. 33.
The same release also re-enters the Official Album Downloads chart, settling at No. 58. That return is especially notable, as just a few weeks ago, it marked a full decade spent on the list.
The compilation also improves on both the Official Albums Sales and Official Physical Albums charts, climbing more than 20 spots on each. While it lands outside the top 40 on both of those tallies, the title's jumps to No. 61 and No. 73, respectively, show there's still real interest in not only playing the songs featured on its tracklist, but buying them as well.
While Greatest Hits is the biggest success, it's not the only Queen title making major moves this week. The band also sees The Platinum Collection rise substantially on the Official Album Downloads chart. The multi-disc compilation jumps from No. 83 to No. 22, which is quite the leap.
That surge ensures that Queen doubles up on the downloads-only list, as both The Platinum Collection and Greatest Hits appear on the tally at the same time.
One more Queen project earns a spot on the charts this week. The Bohemian Rhapsody soundtrack appears on the Official Soundtrack Albums list, which ranks the top-performing titles tied to film and television. The set lifts slightly, from No. 49 to No. 46 — a modest gain, but one that shows just how popular the band's catalog is, no matter in what form it's offered to consumers.

Metallica's Self-Titled Album Reaches An Incredible Milestone
It's a big week for Metallica on the charts in the United Kingdom. The hard rock group is one of several acts from that side of the music business that maintains a constant presence on at least one or two tallies at a time, but this period is especially thrilling for the band, as Metallica returns to multiple rankings with both albums and songs. What may be regarded as perhaps its most successful full-length — at least when looking at commercial metrics — reaches an incredible milestone as it reappears. Metallica's self-titled album is a bestselling release again this week in the U.K. The decades-old set reappears on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, landing at No. 37. As it returns, Metallica hits an incredible landmark figure. As of this frame, the full-length has spent 1,000 weeks as one of the top 40 bestselling rock releases in the country. Metallica is the first release by the band of the same name to reach a four-digit-stay count on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart. Only one other project by the group, Master of Puppets, has cracked triple digits, as it has thus far accrued 144 weeks on the tally. Metallica has even managed more weeks on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart than all of the band's other efforts combined. As the self-titled project reaches 1,000 weeks on the tally, it joins just three other projects that are currently present on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart that have accomplished the same showing. Nirvana's Nevermind leads the ranking with 1,453 stays. Guns N' Roses have kept Appetite for Destruction on the list for 1,222 periods, while Linkin Park's debut full-length Hybrid Theory recently joined this group, and is now up to 1,032 turns on the roster. Metallica only scores one hit album in the U.K. this week, but a pair of successful tunes help the band make itself heard. "Enter Sandman" returns to the top 10 on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, pushing from No. 13 to No. 7. The group doubles up on the tally, as "Nothing Else Matters" reappears in last place at No. 40.

Queen Claims Multiple Top 10 Hits With Decades-Old Classics
Queen lands two top 10 hits on the U.K.'s Rock & Metal Singles chart with "Don't Stop Me Now" and ... More "Bohemian Rhapsody," and the band claims four smashes at once. UNSPECIFIED - FEBRUARY 01: Photo of Freddie MERCURY and QUEEN; Freddie Mercury performing live on stage (Photo by Fin Costello/Redferns) Queen is a band that's known for so many things – unique songwriting, incredible showmanship, and of course, frontman Freddie Mercury's unmatchable charisma – but after all the years that have passed, it's the countless iconic rock anthems that have stuck in millions of minds, hearts, and ears. These tunes continue to power several compilations from the group, which rarely vanish from the charts in the Western world. The constant streaming and buying of a handful of especially huge tracks is enough to ensure that Queen's music is always present, and sometimes, the cuts themselves can appear as well. The band performs the best in the United Kingdom, where the rockers got their start, and where they are still regarded as superheroes to this day. This week, Queen scores multiple top 10 hits on one specific tally – an achievement no other rock act can currently match. The band occupies two spots inside the highest tier of the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, the U.K.'s ranking of the top-selling tracks in those genres. No other name manages more than one win in the space at the moment, and Queen shares the region with stars like Disturbed, AC/DC, Metallica and Bon Jovi, among others. "Don't Stop Me Now" climbs one space to No. 4, while "Bohemian Rhapsody" returns to the top 10 this frame, jumping from No. 12 to No. 9. Both "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" are counted among Queen's five No. 1 hits on the Official Rock & Metal Singles chart, and they remain the longest-running of the bunch. The band's other three champions — "Let Me Live," "C-lebrity" with Paul Rodgers, and "Thank God It's Christmas" — have each spent just one frame in the top spot. In total, Queen fills 10% of the available spaces on the 40-spot Official Rock & Metal Singles chart. "Another One Bites the Dust" bolts from No. 26 to No. 18. Next week, it will hit 550 frames on the tally. Simultaneously, "We Will Rock You" returns to the list, breaking back in at No. 37. That track recently passed 700 weeks on this ranking, while both "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Bohemian Rhapsody" have already pushed past the 800-frame milestone — and will likely reach 900 in the coming months.

Adam Pendleton's 'Love, Queen' Reframes Protest and Abstraction
Summary TheHirshhorn Museumin Washington, DC is hostingAdam Pendleton: Love, Queen, the artist's first solo exhibition in the city. On view through January 3, 2027, the show features new and recent paintings, along with a large-scale video installation, in the museum's second-floor galleries. Pendletonis known for blending painting, drawing, and photography. He starts his pieces with ink, shapes, and text on paper, then photographs and layers them using screen-printing. The result is a bold visual language that mixes abstraction, minimalism and conceptual art. The exhibition includes Pendleton's signature 'Black Dada,' 'Days,' 'WE ARE NOT,' and 'Composition and Movement' paintings. These works often use only two colors over black backgrounds, drawing attention to gesture and language. Also debuting is 'Resurrection City Revisited (Who Owns Geometry Anyway?),' a video projected floor to ceiling. The piece uses archival images of Resurrection City, the 1968 protest camp tied to Martin Luther King Jr.'s Poor People's Campaign. Combined with found footage and flashes of geometric shapes, the film blurs the line between history and abstraction. The score, by Hahn Rowe, includes a recording of poet Amiri Baraka. Curated by Evelyn C. Hankins with support from Alice Phan,Love, Queenruns alongside the museum's permanent collection. Hirshhorn MuseumIndependence Ave SW &, 7th St SWWashington, DC 20560
