He popped the question in New York in February
Ben, who was previously engaged to TV presenter Vanessa Feltz, said the special occasion was 'a new beginning'.
The Phats & Small singer, best known for his biggest hit Turn Around, split up from his previous partner of 16 years in 2023.
He has now hailed his special day a "dream come true" and admitted he had been "waiting for this feeling" after the ceremony at Rose Castle in Cumbria.
New husband Ben told MailOnline: "I have always wanted to be married since I was seven years old. I always wanted to be with someone who would take my surname.
"I almost gave up on marriage, thinking there wasn't a lady that would walk down the aisle for me.
"I can't believe the day has come, it is a dream come true. It feels like I've been waiting for this moment all my life.
"This is the finale of the chapter that was 17 years of my life."
An insider also told The Sun: 'Ben's never been happier. He's always wanted to get married and knew Vanessa was the one instantly.
'They've been planning their dream day ever since they met and know it's going to be the best day of their lives.'
Famous guests from the music scene including Best Man Shane & wife Sheena Lynch, Brian McFadden and Dani Park, Keith and Lisa Duffy. Bradley Mcintosh (S Club), Abz (Five), Dane Bowers and Lee Brennan (911) were all in attendance.

The night before the wedding, guests enjoyed a boozy party as they got the celebrations started.
WEDDING PLANS
Back in April Ben revealed no expense was going to be spared in order to make it the perfect day.
He told us: "There's a three-day wedding celebration. We've got a summer soiree the night before, a barbecue, then the whole day of celebrations the day after and then a farewell brunch. So it'll be jam-packed."
The entertainment was described as "world class" and something for everyone.
Vanessa Feltz and Ben Ofoedu relationship timeline
2005
The couple meet at a Christmas party after being introduced by mutual friend Keith Duffy.
Ben tells OK! years later: 'My first impression of you Feltzy was cheeky, very very cheeky and very very quick-witted."
2016
The pair get engaged in December in Ireland after a whirlwind romance. Ben pulls out all the stops, covering their hotel bed in red roses.
2020
Ben teases on Loose Women that a ceremony is imminent. He says: "I think we'll be making an announcement very, very soon.
2022
The stance changes significantly. Vanessa tells OK!: "I do think 'never say never', but I certainly haven't made any plans for a wedding and I think we're quite happy this way."
2023
Shocked Vanessa announces the relationship is over, heartbroken by Ben's infidelity.
He added: "We've got everything from a bagpiper to a saxophonist and then we're thinking of maybe hiring a carousel because the venue has got beautiful gardens.
"We've got a dedicated marquee specifically for entertainment so I think everyone attending is going to have such a great three days. It's going to be no expense spared. You only get married once."
Ben got down on one knee in Central Park by the famous Bow Bridge that features in Christmas flick Elf, Vanessa's favourite film.
She said of the proposal: "I had absolutely no idea so it was quite a shock. I thought he'd maybe fell over or something."
Ben and Vanessa were first introduced at an event a year ago while he was in a relationship with ex-girlfriend Precious Muir, 40.
Though he found her attractive, they remained friends until he became single late last year.
He appeared as a guest on Vanessa's podcast and found himself working with her again at a horse racing meet in Carlisle.

Describing their connection, Ben said: "Now we're best friends in a relationship."
Differing attitudes towards parenthood were one of the stumbling blocks in Ben's last relationship.
He also previously spoke about giving up his baby dream in his former relationship with ex-fiancé Vanessa.
But he insists he and Vanessa are on the same page.
"I think if we're blessed enough two (kids) would be ideal," he said.
"Yes, a boy and a girl because you've got the best of both worlds there."

Olly Murs reveals 'great sadness' as he breaks silence on twin brother feud
Olly Murs has opened up about his estrangement with twin brother Ben, who he hasn't spoken to since 2009 when he chose to appear on the X Factor rather than attend his wedding Olly Murs has revealed he finally understands how devastated his mum has been over his decades long fallout with his twin brother as he opened up about the feud that has ripped his family apart. The pop star hasn't spoken to his brother since he chose to perform on the X Factor semi-final rather than attend his sibling's wedding, where he was due to be best man. Olly's brother Ben branded him a 'self obsessed sell-out', cut off all contact and the pair have not spoken since. "Now I'm a parent I can relate more to my mum's sadness that my twin brother, Ben, and I have been estranged since 2009," says Olly. Offering an olive branch he said: "I've got nothing but love and respect for him." Speaking to The Sunday Times Magazine, the singer added that in recent years megastar Robbie Williams has become like a brother to him, with the pair deepening their bond as Olly joined him on stage this year. While Olly's family is set to grow larger again this year as he and wife Amelia prepare to welcome their second child after tying the knot in 2023. Olly said he will be doing things differently second time round after leaving Amelia and their newborn immediately after she gave birth due to work commitments. "Two days after Madison was born I had to go on tour supporting Take That. Amelia had lots of support around her as her mum came to stay and my parents live near us in Essex, but it was hard and I felt guilty. "We both understand that my work isn't like a regular job — but second time round I'm not going anywhere," he insists." Olly continued: "My aim in life is to be a great husband and father - that's where my future lies. I'd love my career to continue as it is, but when you get married and become a dad, you just want to be the best for them." The Troublemaker singer said his fallout with brother Ben has impacted him hugely and he still 'struggles with loneliness.' He told The Times last year: "When you've been in the womb with someone, you struggle with loneliness. I had to deal with it when my twin and I went on our separate lives. "I was desperate to be around people, could not sit in a room alone." As well as distancing himself from Olly, Ben also cut contact with their parents and his sister. He told the Daily Mail in January 2017: "I was very close to my parents, but fame and greed changed everything. "My parents wanted this bright, shiny Olly with the money who can give them the VIP lifestyle. They liked hanging around with Simon Cowell, or going to Bon Jovi concerts – they loved their VIP selfies. "I'm not interested in anything like that, I have a lovely life with my wife and kids." Olly said despite the bad blood, he would still make friends with his brother if he'd allow it. "I still want to make that change with my brother." Asked by Lorraine Kelly in 2018 if he though the rift could ever heal, Olly said: 'I hope so, of course, it's mad because every year I think about it, (will it be) nine years, 10 years. I did text him for his birthday but he changed his number. " Christmas has never been the same," he admitted.
