SHE waltzed off with the Strictly Glitterball trophy last year – but now Dianne Buswell is setting her sights on the even bigger prize and challenge of motherhood.
The Australian pro dancer, who met her partner Joe Sugg when he competed in the BBC One show in 2018, says she has recently become broody after spending time with their nieces and nephews.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, she said: 'I would like to have children, 100 per cent.
'Joe and I love kids, and that's definitely something that we would absolutely love. I haven't really thought about how many I would like. It will definitely happen.'
Dianne, 35, who won the contest last year partnering comedian Chris McCausland, says it was spending Christmas with family at the couple's home in Brighton that led to discussions about parenthood.
The pair are already auntie and uncle to their siblings' children.
Dianne has a brother, Andrew, who is also a dancer, and Joe's sister Zoella is a media personality.
Dianne said: 'Joe's got two nieces who I also class as my nieces, and then I have another two nieces and two nephews in Australia, and my oldest niece is 15.
'I am a big fan of my little nieces and nephews. I love kids, I love working with them and being around them. Sometimes, I'm a big kid at heart myself. I think it helps when you can get down to their level. I'm very lucky.'
'Life-changing'
But Dianne said one of her biggest challenges may just be finding the right time.
She and fellow Strictly pro Vito Coppola have just announced a 30-date tour, Red Hot And Ready, starting next month.
And she and Strictly winner Chris — the programme's first blind contestant — have just launched their own podcast, Winning Isn't Everything.

On the prospect of motherhood, Dianne said: 'It is quite tough because my job is quite demanding, and I love it so much.
'It is a tough one to balance out and think about. It would take a lot of thought, but eventually one day we will get there, but there is lots happening at the moment. It will happen when it's supposed to.'
Both she and YouTuber Joe, 33, have already had hugely successful careers.
Dianne toured with hit show Burn The Floor in 2011, and also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Australia.
In 2015, she starred in Australia's version of Strictly and landed the role in the UK show in 2017.
As well as dancing, she and Joe are one of social media's highest- earning couples in the UK, with a reported combined fortune of £8.8million.
Dianne makes sure she stays in the best shape possible for the challenges that face her with a strict diet, exercise and recovery routine.
She learned a lot about her health from appearing in reality TV show Freeze The Fear With Wim Hof in April 2022.
It consisted of performing tasks in sub-zero temperatures, and Dianne said the experience with the Dutch motivational speaker and extreme athlete — also known as The Iceman — was life-changing, and she now uses the breathing methods that were shown to her to deal with anxiety.
She explained: 'I've delved into a lot of things to prolong my body. I don't want to use the word strict, because I don't have to do this, but I have things in place which are longevity for my body. For instance, I invested in an infrared sauna for myself.
'I've got an ice bath and a Pilates Reformer [exercise machine]. I have all these different things that I do, and I look after what I eat.'
'Achieved so much'
Dianne, who had the equipment installed in the £3.5million, five- bedroom home the couple bought in 2022, said: 'I'm really invested, and I know it sounds quite extreme, but at the same time my body is my tool.
'It's my work and it's what I use every single day, so I find it an investment for my future and my body.'
Dianne has a sauna and ice bath five days a week and said: 'I'll also stretch when I'm in the sauna, so my body is having a good stretch, too.

'I'm very into all that kind of stuff. I love wellness, and I love feeling good, and I love that my body still feels like it did when I was 28 — I genuinely do.
'Touch wood, it's continuing on that path, but I think that's just because I'm very conscious about what I put into my body, and what I'm doing for my recovery.
'That's just as important as keeping the muscles maintained, and knowing what your body works well with, because everybody is so different.'
The Glitterball is in my office so when I'm working it can remind me that hard work can pay off and I've already achieved so much
Dianne
Dianne, who has also been partnered with Max George, Tyler West and Bobby Brazier in Strictly, is hoping to return to the show again this year — an ambition that is already displayed on her office wall.
She said: 'I like to surround myself in my office with lots of things that inspire me.
'I have a vision board, and I have things that I aspire to do, but also things that I am really proud of.
'Real honour'
'You can be working on something, and sometimes things don't work out, and you can get into a bit of a rut.
'But if you look around and see all the things you've already achieved, it makes it so much better.
'The Glitterball is in my office so when I'm working it can remind me that hard work can pay off and I've already achieved so much. I'm so proud of it.'
Dianne adores her job so much that she still finds it 'exciting' to go to work every day.

She said: 'It doesn't feel like a hard slog. Yes, of course, when you're training you can become a bit tired because it is every day, especially if you make it all the way to the final. And obviously, last year Chris and I worked very hard to achieve what we did, but it was never a real drag.
'It was a real honour and a good experience.'
Strictly is also where she met her dance touring partner, Vito.
She said: 'We met on the show, but my mum's side of the family are Italian, and when I met Vito he felt like one of my cousins.
'That's the vibe Vito and I have, and I adore him. He's like either my crazy uncle or my crazy cousin. We've always got along, from day one.'
Dianne is grateful for all the show has done for her — including meeting Joe, the man who she hopes will one day become the father of her baby.
She said: 'It blows my mind. I'm just a girl from Bunbury in Western Australia who loved and had a massive passion for dance.
'Now it's brought me over to the UK on the biggest TV show that they have, so it's a real pinch-me moment.'

Man Fu Yuan launches a new 2025 menu where familiar Cantonese dishes get a luxurious twist

30 years later, Man Fu Yuan remains a bastion for Cantonese fine dining in Singapore. The 172-seater restaurant in the InterContinental Singapore has been serving guests since 1995. Its most popular offering? The unlimited weekend dim sum buffet ($98 per person), where diners are treated to a dazzling spread of 40 handcrafted delicacies. Beyond dim sum, the restaurant also serves up specialties like its smoked and roasted honey-glazed Iberico pork collar, braised Australian 10-head 'Xu Rong' half abalone with South African fish, and wok-fried glutinous rice, expertly whipped up in just three minutes. Online, regulars often sing praises about its charcoal tofu, smoked duck and showy flambé dishes. Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef Aaron Tan, who brings over 20 years of experience to the table. His latest menu is heavily inspired by his travels, with some of his previous creations from culinary competitions making a return after a few tweaks. The Chef's Signature Combination 2.0 ($38 per person) is an upgrade from the original, showcasing the hallmarks of Cantonese cooking by bringing together dim sum, hot and cold dishes, and barbecue elements on one platter. Our favourite bite is the prawn dumpling (har gow) with black truffle wrapped in silky spinach skin – one basket of this please, Chef. Another must-order: the poached red grouper fillet in fish broth ($22 per 100g, with a minimum order of 1kg), a shining testament to the kitchen's mastery of Cantonese double-boiling. The fish is prepared tableside to retains its delicate, flaky texture without getting overcooked. And oh, we could have endless bowls of that soul-nourishing broth, steeped with dang gui, goji berries, and finished off with a 15-year aged hua diao wine. Chef Aaron's white pepper prawns also earn nods around the table. They arrive with a fiery tableside flambé, thanks to a generous douse of Chinese wine – a signature move at Man Fu Yuan. But it's the punchy white pepper sauce that really stands out, with just enough ginger and scallions in the mix to dial up the fragrance. And if you really want to impress a guest or elevate the mood for a celebratory meal, the flambé roasted angus beef tomahawk ($188 per person, for three to five persons) is a must. It's a whole event, with diners encouraged to lift the hunk of steak and participate in the spectacle. Because of the theatrics, the cynics in us expect the meat to fall flat, but we're gratefully proven wrong – the tomahawk comes back from the kitchen as tender, bite-sized cubes, tossed in a Mongolian sauce and spice blend. The oven-baked cheesy rock lobsters ($53 per portion, half lobster) might lean Western, but not many know that the dish was once a popular fixture at Cantonese banquets in the 1990s. First lightly fried, the lobsters are topped with Thai honey pineapples and coated in a thick layer of salted egg yolk sauce and cheese before being baked in the oven. Each bite is smoky and rich, with a light tang from the pineapple. Chef Aaron's crispy sea cucumber dish ($68 per portion) is not to be missed either. Each tender morsel is gently battered and fried to a crisp, golden brown. Oyster sauce is swapped out for a savoury minced pork sauce, alongside preserved leeks and Hong Kong vegetables. Man Fu Yuan's new menu is available from August 18, 2025 onwards. The restaurant is located at 80 Middle Rd, InterContinental Singapore, Level 2, Singapore 188966.

Neighbours stars Tim Robards and April Rose Pengilly reunite in gory horror film

Neighbours stars Tim Robards and April Rose Pengily have returned to screens for a very surprising - and gory - reunion in Australian horror film Drax. The pair, who starred together as a married couple in the long-running soap, play two lovers on a date that goes pear shaped after they encounter a monstrous force. Their scene is a homecoming for fans of Neighbours, who bid farewell to Tim's character, businessman Pierce Greyson, following his shock decision to quit the show in 2020. Drax was written and directed by Australian filmmaker James Demitri, and is currently on the festival circuit. 'April and I had fun being in a very different scenario, and in US accent,' Tim said of his experience filming with April again. 'It was kind of very familiar, but also totally different. I get to play a real a**hole which is fun.... and second nature!' he laughed. April also spoke fondly of the reunion, saying: 'I've known [director] James since early in my modelling days, and obviously worked closely with Tim on Neighbours (we were married, after all!) so it was lots of fun reuniting with them both on set.' 'It's always great working with people you know as you have a shorthand way of communicating and can get stuck into the work straight away - there's no awkward 'getting to know you' phase.' Filmed in neon-lit Sydney, Drax is described as a contemporary spin on the vampire genre. It tells the tale of a disillusioned bloodsucker and artist Drax (played by David Charlie) who becomes entangled with a young skater named Marcus (Finn Middleton). Also starring in the film are Australian talents Emily Teede and Tatjana Marjanovic, with cameos from Matt Levett, Alex Pychtin, Tomi Grainger and Monique Simone. 'For me, Drax is about the question of who is the real monster when the mask comes off. It explores regrets and how people carry them, how those regrets shape us and become part of who we are,' Demitri said in a press release. April and Tim starred together on Neighbours from 2018 to 2020, initially playing lovers before their characters tied the knot in December 2019. Their union, however, was short-lived, as cracks soon began to show throughout 2020 with storylines involving loss, betrayal and distance. Their scene (pictured) is a homecoming for fans of Neighbours, who bid farewell to Tim's character, businessman Pierce Greyson, following his shock decision to quit the show in 2020 'For me, Drax is about the question of who is the real monster when the mask comes off. It explores regrets and how people carry them, how those regrets shape us and become part of who we are,' says director James Demitri By the end of that year, the couple had separated, bringing their on-screen romance to an end. Shortly after, Tim stepped away from the soap. He had originally joined the cast in 2018 for what was meant to be a short guest role, but his popularity saw the part expanded into a regular role. Tim is married to Anna Heinrich. The couple share two daughters - Elle, three, Ruby, one. Anna and Tim met on the 2013 season of The Bachelor.

Great British Sewing Bee contestant forced to apologise after off-camera blunder

The Great British Sewing Bee was full of eventful moments on Tuesday's episode with an off-camera blunder and emotional scenes The Great British Sewing Bee delivered plenty of drama on Tuesday's instalment, featuring behind-the-scenes mishaps and tearjerking moments. ‌ During the 19 August episode, contestants faced "children's week", where they were tasked with creating garments for youngsters. ‌ The opening challenge required contestants to incorporate adaptive fashion elements whilst tackling a pattern for miniature dungarees. ‌ Following this, the transformation round saw participants reimagining maternity clothing into toddler ensembles. The final made-to-measure task challenged hopefuls to craft outfits inspired by their childhood career dreams, spanning everything from beekeeping to politics, reports Wales Online. Contestant Caz had aspired to become fashion designer Zandra Rhodes, one of the 1970s' most legendary style icons. Her tribute design featured fitted trousers and a peplum top with faux shirred detailing, completed with a coordinating beret. Paying homage to Zandra Rhodes, she selected striking fabrics and even enlisted her young model's help in creating the print. ‌ Watching her creation grace the runway, Caz was spotted dabbing away tears as she observed with evident pride. During the judges' critique, an overwhelmed Caz confessed: "I was wiping away tears while my model came down the catwalk, I'm just really pleased I turned up today." ‌ As the programme concluded, Caz found herself in floods of tears once more upon discovering she'd claimed garment of the week, exclaiming: "Wow!" Sadly, this meant one hopeful had to bid farewell to the contest, with Dan being the unlucky contestant sent packing, leaving his fellow competitors visibly upset. As the programme drew to a close, there were further dramatic moments to unfold. During a piece to camera with contestant Orla, who had harboured dreams of becoming a beekeeper in her youth and had crafted a themed ensemble for the task, she found herself having to make an apology following an off-screen mishap. ‌ The hopeful was clutching a plush bee toy whilst telling viewers: "Everyone's makes were just bee-utiful. I thought it was really fun" before hurling the cuddly creature out of shot. Unfortunately, the soft toy accidentally struck something or someone beyond the camera's view as a loud crash could be heard, prompting a startled Orla to erupt into giggles. The Great British Sewing Bee continues on Tuesdays at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
