
Ethiopian delegates praise Andhra's RTGS for tech-driven governance
VIJAYAWADA: A 10-member delegation from Ethiopia, led by Girum Ketema Teklemariam, Director of Ethiopia's Digital Agriculture and Finance Program, visited the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) at the State Secretariat in Amaravati. The team is on a study tour to explore tech-driven governance models.
RTGS Deputy CEO M Madhuri welcomed the delegation and presented an overview of RTGS's functioning. She explained how the platform bridges the gap between the government and citizens by enabling real-time monitoring, swift grievance redressal, and effective service delivery.
She said that the RTGS concept was initiated under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, positioning AP as a pioneer in tech-enabled governance. She informed the visitors about the ongoing development of a comprehensive data lake integrating information from all departments, aimed at boosting transparency and administrative efficiency. She also showcased the 'Mana Mitra' WhatsApp Governance system, which currently offers 455 services and is expected to cross 1,000 soon.
RTGS has also launched an 'Aware Hub' in partnership with ISRO to monitor real-time weather conditions and issue alerts. A dedicated AI Hub is being set up to enhance public service delivery through AI.

AP: Ethiopian Delegation visits RTGS cent
Vijayawada, June 12 (UNI) A delegation from Ethiopia visited the Real-Time Governance Society (RTGS) located in the Secretariat on Thursday. The 10-member delegation, led by Girum Ketema Teklemariam, Director of Ethiopia's Digital Agriculture and Finance Program, is currently touring Amaravati. As part of their visit, the delegation toured the RTGS facility. RTGS Deputy CEO M. Madhuri welcomed the delegation and explained the functioning of RTGS. She described how RTGS is acting as a technological bridge between the government and the people. She stated that the RTGS system took shape from the visionary ideas of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and that Andhra Pradesh was the first state in the country to implement such a system. She mentioned that a comprehensive data lake is being developed by integrating data from all government departments, which will help make governance more streamlined and effective. The government aims to deliver all services directly to citizens via their mobile phones, eliminating the need for people to visit government offices. As part of this initiative, a WhatsApp Governance system under the name 'Mana Mitra' has been launched. Currently, 455 types of services are being offered through WhatsApp Governance, to expand to over a thousand services shortly. An 'Aware Hub' has also been set up to provide real-time information on weather changes to the public. RTGS is continuously monitoring weather conditions in collaboration with ISRO. To ensure greater transparency and efficiency in government operations and to deliver better services to citizens, RTGS is extensively utilizing Artificial Intelligence. A dedicated AI Hub is being established within RTGS for this purpose. RTGS is also providing the necessary technological support to government departments to ensure that the benefits of government schemes and programs effectively reach the people. The Ethiopian delegation expressed appreciation for the functioning of RTGS and praised the Government of Andhra Pradesh for establishing such an impressive technological system. Amaravati Quantum Valley will be akin to Silicon Valley: Andhra CM
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday stated that the proposed Quantum Valley in Amaravati should earn a global identity akin to Silicon Valley. He said that the Andhra Pradesh State Quantum Mission must lead the way in advancing quantum technologies and artificial intelligence. The Chief Minister held a review meeting with IT experts at the State Secretariat on Monday, gathering inputs on building a robust Quantum Valley ecosystem in Amaravati. Announcing that a workshop on the Quantum Mission will be held in the capital on June 30, Naidu stressed the importance of paying meticulous attention to every aspect of Quantum Valley's development. He directed officials to ensure that the proposed facility becomes an iconic structure. Drawing a parallel with Hyderabad's Hi-Tech City, which became a symbol of technological progress, the Chief Minister said the Quantum Valley, being developed in Amaravati, must be equally transformative and globally recognizable. During the review meeting, officials presented the agenda and action plan for the development of the Andhra Pradesh State Quantum Mission.
