New PS5 Console Bundle Leaked, Reportedly Out Soon
This report is brought to us by Dealabs user billbil-kun, who has a near flawless track record when it comes to leaks. According to them, the bundle will include a standard PS5 Slim along with a disc drive, and a download code for Astro Bot.
Billbil-kun didn't say if the PS5 Pro and PS5 Slim digital edition will get the bundle treatment or not. However, they did say that the release date is expected to be March 13, 2025, so we'll find out soon enough.
Billbil-kun is based in Europe, so this date may not apply to the U.S. and/or other regions where the bundle will launch. They estimated the European price tag to be around 474 and 499 euros.
As for when the PS5 Astro Bot bundle will be announced, billbil-kun is speculating a reveal at the rumored PlayStation State of Play, which is reportedly taking place later this week.

PS5 running slow? Here's how to speed it up
Your PS5 might not be running as well as it could be, and performance issues can sneak up on you over time. While you can't upgrade the internal hardware like you would with a PC, there are several straightforward fixes that can restore your console's speed and responsiveness. Frame drops, overheating, and sluggish menus often stem from accumulated cache files, poor ventilation, or suboptimal settings that many players overlook. Most PS5 owners never think to clear their cache or adjust performance settings, missing out on noticeable improvements. Simple maintenance tasks and settings changes can transform your gaming experience from frustrating slowdowns back to the smooth performance you expect. Here's how to speed up your PS5. Keep your PS5's system software up to date to ensure optimal performance and stability. Updates include bug fixes, optimizations, and improvements that resolve potential bottlenecks affecting your console's speed. To do this, open Settings from the top-right corner of the dashboard and navigate to System, System Software, System Software Update and Settings to check manually. Regular updates prevent performance issues before they start and keep your console running at its best. Choose performance mode over fidelity mode for smoother gameplay, especially in action games where higher frame rates make a noticeable difference. Go to Settings, Saved Data and Game/App Settings, Game Presets, then select Performance Mode (you can also choose Resolution Mode if needed). Once you've selected Performance Mode the settings will be changed. This prioritizes frame rate over visual quality, resulting in more responsive controls and smoother motion. You can always override this setting in individual games if needed. With its premium build quality, detailed sound, Tempest 3D Audio support and long battery life, there's a reason Soy's headset is named "Elite." Despite its high quality, you'll find it offers a not-so-big price Transfer PS4 games from external drives to your PS5's internal SSD for significantly better performance. While PS5 games must run from internal storage, PS4 games perform much better on the faster internal drive. Open your Game Library, highlight the game you want to move, press the Options button, select Move Games and Apps and confirm your selection. The speed difference will be immediately noticeable in load times and overall responsiveness. Prevent thermal throttling by ensuring your PS5 has proper airflow and ventilation. When your console overheats, it automatically reduces performance to protect internal components, causing frame drops and sluggish performance. Make sure your PS5 has plenty of breathing room around all vents and isn't enclosed in a tight entertainment center. Signs of overheating include a hot console exterior, loud fan noise, or overheating warnings on screen. You can, of course, prevent this by cleaning dust buildup from vents regularly. Clear accumulated cache data and rebuild your PS5's database to resolve slowdowns caused by fragmented storage and unnecessary files. Turn off your PS5, then press and hold the power button until you hear a second beep (about seven seconds). Next, connect your controller via USB-C cable and press the PS button to enter Safe Mode. Select Clear Cache and Rebuild Database and wait for the process to complete. This won't delete your games or saves but can provide a significant performance boost. No more chains: NFL debuts new virtual measurement at Hall of Fame Game
NFL games will look slightly different this season, and fans got their first glimpse at the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday. The NFL announced in April it will begin using Sony's Hawk-Eye technology as the primary way to measure the line to gain, rather than the chain system that has been in place for decades. Much like its usage in baseball and tennis, the technology uses six 8K cameras to judge the ball's position on the field. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] Here is video of its first usage, prompted by the officials in the preseason game between the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers. The call was not close: The NFL hailed the new technology as a more efficient method than the chains: "Sony's Hawk-Eye virtual measurement technology will serve as an efficient alternative to the process of walking chains onto the field and manually measuring whether 10 yards have been met after the official has spotted the ball. The chain crew will remain on the field in a secondary capacity." While the league initially announced it would keep a traditional chain crew in reserve for games, referee Shawn Smith told reporters on Thursday there would be no chains between down markers for the Hall of Fame game. The replacement of chains with cameras is unlikely to improve the accuracy of these calls, as the spotting of the ball by officials has always been the bigger issue when trying to figure out if a runner got enough distance for a first down. The chains were actually pretty good at telling officials how long 10 yards is. Rather, the virtual measurements are intended to save time, with decisions reached in seconds rather than making everyone wait for the officials to drag the chain out to midfield. We'll see how much fans notice as the regular season begins, with the opener scheduled for Sept. 4.

Surprise! This 65-inch Sony LED TV just hit its lowest price ever on Amazon
TVs are getting cheaper and cheaper these days, but you rarely see Sony models dip under $1,000, especially one as good and feature-rich as this. Right now, you can get the 65-inch Sony Bravia XR X90L LED TV for $898 on Amazon. That's a huge slashing on one of our favorite TVs from 2024, and the lowest price yet for the X90L to date. In our Sony Bravia X90L review, we hailed its HDR performance, anti-glare properties, and black levels, making it the ideal choice for movie lovers. The Sony X90L also uses full array local dimming to give you clear and concise contrast. And there are also PS5 exclusive features like Auto Genre Picture Mode and Auto HDR Tone Mapping, which means you can expect to get the best performance from your gaming console. The Sony X90L LED TV is a serious entertainment display. Sony knows its HDR and color specs, which are built off the back of its reference monitors, and the X90L shines with incredible contrast and black levels. I tested the Sony X90L TV last year and was blown away by its picture performance. What stood out for me was its HDR prowess in content like the "The Batman" and "3 Body Problem." Even its motion processing had a pep in its step that I truly enjoyed. Even though its an LED display, the X90L still handled glare quite well. I never had an issue watching darker shows or movies even in the middle of the day, which was a pleasant surprise. Of course, it's a Sony TV after all, so you can also expect to have some PS5-exclusive features in the mix. While I personally wasn't a huge fan of its high input latency, the X90L still does well in delivering best-in-class gaming performance for a display at this price. The X90L was one of my favorite TVs to test last year. And this is a killer deal if you want a premium set for less right now.
