Kevin Costner is coming up with a new docuseries on the History Channel called The West. The series will focus on the early days of the American West and the struggles that shaped its identity.The West will debut on May 26 with two episodes. A third episode will air as a special the next day, on May 27. After that, the show will follow a regular weekly schedule. It will air every Monday at 9 p.m.

The eight-part series tells the story of the American West. It focuses on events and struggles that helped form the region. The show includes stories about land, power and identity. It looks at different people who played key roles in that history. These include explorers, cowboys, lawmen and outlaws.It also shares the experiences of women and people seeking freedom or fortune. The show also covers the fight of Native American tribes to protect their land. The stories come from different points of view.
Kevin Costner is both the host and an executive producer of the series. He is joined by Doris Kearns Goodwin, a well-known historian. The project is produced by RadicalMedia.
