BBC Strictly Come Dancing's same-sex couple 'exposed' as fans spot 'huge clue'
The 2025 Strictly Come Dancing line-up has now been confirmed but viewers are yet to learn who the celebrities will be dancing with
Fans of Strictly Come Dancing believe they've worked out at least one partnership for the forthcoming series of the popular BBC programme. Following this week's confirmation of the full 2025 line-up, viewers were swift to voice their predictions online regarding potential pairings.

Many fans are anticipating another same-sex coupling when the programme returns this autumn. Kristian Nairn was the final celebrity to be revealed in the gradual announcement process.

The Game of Thrones actor measures an impressive 6ft9 in height. The programme typically matches celebrities with professionals of comparable stature, which has prompted show devotees to turn detective and share their theories across social media platforms.

One fan suggested his towering frame might result in pairing with a male partner. "Given his height, maybe there's a chance he gets a male pro?" they posted.

"Even the taller female pros will still be nearly a foot shorter than him! Excited to see him, always struck me as a lovely guy in interviews," reports the Mirror.

Another viewer speculated that Johannes Radebe will become his partner for the upcoming series. This follows Johannes previously becoming the first professional dancer on the programme to feature in a same-sex pairing.
In 2021, the South African performer partnered with John Whaite to create television history.
This year witnesses a fresh collection of famous personalities competing for the prestigious Glitterball Trophy. This year, the enduring dance show will showcase 15 new celebrities, including Geordie Shore icon Vicky Pattison, alongside Neighbours actor Stefan Dennis.

However, the full line-up reveal has left some viewers unimpressed, who took to social media to express their disappointment over some of the contestants.
Among those in the lineup is Dani Dyer, daughter of EastEnders star Danny Dyer, who rose to fame after winning Love Island. Also featured is Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, known by his stage name Nitro.
The former Olympic athlete, who competed in last year's Christmas special, was unveiled as a contestant during an episode of Newsround on Monday.

Perhaps the most contentious contestant announced for the upcoming series is former The Apprentice star Tom Skinner. The reality TV star responded to the criticism he faced following the announcement.
The 34-year-old wrote: "They say don't read the comments on social media. But I couldn't help myself. I've had absolute pellets all day on my Instagram, lost about going on strictly."

He then shared a link to Instagram, adding: "Have a look at some of these on Instagram .... Why are some people so angry that don't even know me. Not Bosh."
Earlier, he had posted: "Well the news is out about me going on Strictly. Never in a million years did I think I would Receive the amount of messages of support (and the also amount of hate).
"But thank you to everyone. You're absolutely legends. I'm gonna sit and have a few cold ones and take in what's actually going on. Life is crazy. Gotta grab everything with both hands and take it for what it is. Hope you have a wonderful afternoon. Love you all. Bosh."

MasterChef winner claims John Torode was 'hung out to dry' by BBC bosses after he was axed for 'using a racist slur'

One of MasterChef's most successful winners has hit out at BBC bosses for axing star John Torode, after he was sacked over allegations he used a racist slur. Thomasina Miers was crowned the winner of the first series of the show to be hosted by John and Gregg Wallace back in 2005, and is now the owner of restaurant chain Wahaca. Speaking to The Sunday Times, Thomasina said she 'didn't get' the decision to axe John from the show, after the complaint was revealed in the report into co-presenter Gregg's inappropriate behaviour. She said: 'I cannot believe that John got hung out to dry like that. Twenty years of his life of dedicated service. John is like the least racist person I've ever met … I just don't get it.' Thomasina did not feel compelled to comment on Gregg's sacking by BBC bosses, but noted that 'smutty' kitchen jokes have been been commonplace for her. She added: 'I have a really smutty sense of humour so God knows what the BBC would make of some of the banter we have. I don't think they'd approve but we have a lot of fun in the kitchens. 'Obviously you can't be making other people feel uncomfortable, but equally I think you have to have fun and be able to have a joke… The kitchen is notoriously full of innuendo and double meanings.' John was reportedly singing the rapper's hit Gold Digger when he was allegedly 'caught using the racist term during after work drinks six or seven years ago'. But, BBC News has since reported this was not the incident which led to the complaint upheld by the report. This instead related to another incident a year earlier, when he allegedly used the same word on set after filming an episode of MasterChef and it was directed at a member of staff. The news site added that the upheld allegation of racist language was one of nine complaints made against Torode in the report, which also related to allegations of abusive language towards junior production staff and sexual language, and which were not upheld. These allegations were not upheld as they were unsubstantiated due to a lack of evidence or witnesses. The Sun claims Torode used the word again whilst chatting to a friend on the MasterChef production team, who didn't take offence. The Australian-born chef has insisted 'he had absolutely no recollection' of using a racist term while drinking with colleagues seven years ago. The person who raised the complaint is understood to have 'overheard the conversation'. The production pal allegedly backed Torode and said he only used the racial slur as an 'example' and 'apologised afterwards'. A witness told investigators he had apologised immediately, 'was mortified' and 'didn't use the term as a slur' in 2018. The BBC said earlier this month that Torode's contract would not be renewed after a report found he had used an 'extremely offensive racist term'. The corporation has refused to say what the racist term was - as has Torode, who has claimed he did 'not believe that it happened'. But it was then described as the 'worst racial slur there is' by Richard Osman, who added of the investigation: 'They found that to be substantively true. They found evidence that they were happy with - that that was true'. Torode said after his sacking, in a lengthy statement posted to Instagram: 'Although I haven't heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay – I am seeing and reading that I've been 'sacked' from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I'm accused of.' The complaint against Torode was revealed in the report into co-presenter Gregg Wallace's inappropriate behaviour. Wallace, 60, was sacked after dozens of complaints against him were upheld. Torode identified himself as an unnamed person in the report who was accused of using 'racist language'. ITV have continued to host the disgraced presenter on his show he shares with his wife, Lisa; John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen. The BBC have since gone ahead with broadcasting the amateur series of MasterChef filmed last year, before allegations against Gregg and John were upheld, though their screentime has been reduced to a minimum.

Match of the Day review: was anyone watching post-Gary Lineker debut?

So devalued is Match of the Day that one of its new permanent hosts was doing all the heavy lifting on Sports Report on Radio 5 Live on the same day as taking the chair. Mark Chapman sounded like he was on the verge of losing his voice at half-time in the live coverage of Wolves and Manchester City, when I am pretty sure at a similar juncture on a Saturday Gary Lineker would have been lying in a warm salt bath gargling the suds when not sucking on a bar of expensive dark chocolate and certainly not taking us around the grounds and arguing with Chris Sutton about the significance of Norwich's win over Portsmouth. Or maybe the reverse is true and it is simply that the BBC love 'Chappers' so much they want him on air all the time and soon he will be a copper on Line of Duty, presenting Blue Peter and saving MasterChef. The big question for Chapman — who will share presenting duties with Gabby Logan and Kelly Cates — was not about his stamina, however, but whether anyone was watching Match of the Day after its rebirth. This was the first show of the post-Lineker era, after his departure in May under a cloud of controversial social media posts, and this season the BBC is putting up Premier League highlights from 8pm. No analysis, no interviews, just the key moments and the always excellent BBC commentators. We had a full eight minutes from Anfield as a handy standalone package in which Steve Wilson got the tone just right as he summed up the poignancy of the tributes to Diogo Jota. There were five minutes and 37 seconds of the goalless draw between Villa and Newcastle, six minutes 44 seconds of Brighton v Fulham, six minutes and 50 seconds of Sunderland v West Ham, five minutes and 55 seconds of Wolves v Man City and I don't know how long they spent on Spurs v Burnley because I thought I would suspend disbelief and let the full blown Match of the Day have its chance to surprise me. I say surprise, but there must be only 13 or 14 people in the world left by 10.20pm on a Saturday who do not know the scores. If nothing else, the widespread addiction to fantasy football means we all know who scored, who assisted, who kept a clean sheet and who made the most defensive contributions. What we don't know, precisely, is what Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney thought about such things and that is what Match of the Day gives us once we have watched/avoided the earlier highlights. Lineker was kind to such guests, never asking too much of them, always nodding along as if they were utterly fascinating when, let's face it, they were not always entirely enthralling. Chapman had clearly had a good wash and a nice dinner after finishing his radio shift and looked as comfortable as always. Lineker was also very good at looking down the camera and making the viewer feel he knows and values you. For anyone worried that those cute little teasing sessions at the expense of Shearer would be a thing of the past, fear not; Chapman opened with a gag at how happy the former Newcastle hero would be to see that Sunderland were first in the running order. But he maintained a more headmasterly demeanour than his predecessor and this gave us the impression that Rooney was very keen to please Chapman and had put in a shift to be able to explain how and why West Ham suffered. Both Rooney and Shearer were like pupils keen to show the new head of philosophy that they had done some homework but, equally, that they were senior enough to be allowed special privileges such as wearing heavy knitwear. Chapman clearly knew the answer to all the questions he asked of them which must be slightly disconcerting to such alpha males. Shearer came into his own when slating Alexander Isak, the want-away Newcastle striker, bringing in the price of petrol for fans as the final insult. As if not quite believing his own stridency, Shearer then backtracked slightly to point out we had heard nothing to give us the Sweden international's version of events. 'The more things change, the more they stay the same,' was Chapman's sign-off, ostensibly about the good start to the season for Liverpool and Manchester City but clearly also about something else. The quality of the show? Its dress code? Or, just maybe, its viewing figures because Match of the Day has been in our lives so long we would surely sob if it was phased out altogether.

Royal Family 'living in fear' of 'what could come out' over Prince Andrew

Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Channel 5 broadcast the documentary Andrew and Fergie: The Duke and Duchess of Excess, which followed the launch of Andrew Lownie's bombshell new book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York. The programme examined the pair's extravagant spending, murky financial arrangements, and dubious associations, including Andrew's links with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew Lownie, who appeared in the documentary, branded the duo "greedy" and revealed that despite attempting to locate someone willing to speak positively about Andrew, 99% refused to do so. This follows reports that Prince Harry will 'never be forgiven' by two senior royals despite hopes of reconciliation. Making additional explosive allegations, Andrew Lownie claims that compromising footage featuring Prince Andrew may have been acquired and shared with foreign spy agencies, reports the Mirror. "I think one of the most worrying things I discovered was the amount of kompromat there must be on Andrew. We know that Jeffrey Epstein had filmed people in his home," Lownie stated in the Channel 5 documentary. Prior to his death, it was claimed Epstein had sold portions of this intelligence to Mossad, Libyan security services, and potentially the Russians. "There is material from my sources talking about kompromat in China, in Libya, in the Middle East, and elsewhere. So I mean, there must be an awful lot of sex tapes running around, and I'm just amazed that they haven't hit the internet," Lownie claimed. The assertion has been made previously, but there's no public evidence that such tapes exist, and Prince Andrew has remained silent on the matter. "Who knows what could come out?" journalist Richard Eden pondered. "I think the Royal Family still lives in fear, frankly, of what could come out." In 2019, amidst the uproar over his friendship with Epstein following his Newsnight interview, Andrew withdrew from public duties and ceased using His Royal Highness. Despite no longer being a working royal, he has attended family events. Earlier this year, he joined the King and several other senior royals for their traditional Easter Sunday service at St George's Chapel in Windsor. Earlier this week, news resurfaced about Andrew's "lifelong teddy bear obsession" following the release of an explosive new biography. In 2022, a peculiar story emerged about the embattled prince's alleged collection of 50 to 60 teddy bears. A former Royal officer even claimed that Andrew would "scream and shout" if his staff didn't carry out a specific task involving the toys. Former protection officer Paul Page alleged in the ITV documentary 'Ghislaine, Prince Andrew and the Paedophile' that the Duke would become enraged if his servants didn't arrange them in a certain way at Buckingham Palace.
