YouTuber booked for bike stunt near Pangong Lake in Ladakh: 'Why are you destroying nature?'
Ali Aalyan Iqbal, a content creator with over 2.5 million YouTube subscribers and 428,000 Instagram followers, has been booked under Sections 125 and 292 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023. He is accused of riding recklessly near Pangong Lake and the Nubra sand dunes -both protected zones due to their fragile ecosystems.
The Leh District Police posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying, 'A domestic tourist was booked U/S 125 & 292 of BNS 2023 for dangerously riding a bike in restricted zones of Pangong Lake and Nubra sand dunes, endangering Ladakh's fragile ecosystem. Ali, who describes himself as a rider, bodybuilder and boxer in his Instagram bio, had shared photos and videos of his Ladakh trip on his social media accounts. His actions drew sharp criticism online, with many accusing him of encouraging irresponsible tourism.
One Instagram user wrote, 'Because of people like you, others can't peacefully enjoy tourist places. If you're so passionate about taking your bike into the water, come with me, I'll show you proper water crossings in Ladakh. But don't do things like this.'

Ladakh, renowned for its breathtaking but fragile landscapes, has been under increasing strain due to rising tourist activity. Authorities and environmental groups have repeatedly appealed to visitors to stick to designated routes and keep away from protected areas.

Palakkad division RPF boosts passenger safety
Palakkad: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Palakkad railway division has apprehended 971 offenders so far this year, including trespassers, unauthorized passengers in reserved coaches and men found travelling in ladies' compartments. Offenders were caught during daily joint patrols by the RPF and Govt Railway Police (GRP) during peak hours. Surprise checks in ladies' coaches have also been intensified to curb nuisance by anti-social elements. The division also received 38 complaints through Rail Madad and other online platforms, which were promptly resolved, with offenders detained or arrested where required. South Korean vlogger flashes ‘peace sign' in Turkey, told by locals it means something else: ‘Most fragile nation'
A South Korean traveller's innocent selfie gesture in Turkey has turned into a viral talking point online. Content creator Tyongee was visiting the country when she struck a typical peace-sign pose for the camera. But almost immediately, two men stopped her and told her that the gesture was not acceptable in Turkey. In her Instagram post sharing the clip, she admitted, 'I did not know at all! It's amazing how I get to learn a new culture and manner whenever I travel.' In the video, the men explain that while the V-sign means 'peace' in many countries, in Turkey it is associated with terrorism. One of them tells her, 'In your culture, it means peace, but unfortunately in Turkey, it is raised about terrorism,' leaving her surprised.
