Bella Kidman Cruise returns to social media with cryptic post weeks after Nicole's low-key visit to London

Sky News AU5 days ago
Bella Kidman Cruise has shared a rare social media update just weeks after her world-famous mother Nicole Kidman made a quick trip to London.
UK-based Bella works as a visual artist in the English capital but is understood to be somewhat estranged from her adopted mother Nicole and father Tom Cruise.
Meanwhile, Nicole regularly shares family snaps with Bella's half-sisters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, from the Oscar winner's second marriage to Keith Urban.
In recent months, Bella was noticeably absent from both a mother's day tribute by Nicole and a group photo of all the Kidman family women taken at the movie star's Nashville mansion.
Bella also shares another half-sister, Suri Cruise, from Tom's third marriage to actress Katie Holmes.
On Wednesday, Cruise posted a cryptic Instagram story showing images of two women's faces spliced together without a caption, marking her first social media update in months.
In 2015, UK-based Bella married British I.T. consultant Max Parker but neither of her famous parents attended the nuptials.
Nevertheless, Cruise reportedly helped pay for the event, while a Kidman source told People that Nicole was "very happy for Bella."
Nicole was recently in London to appear at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and attended the men's singles final with newly retired Vogue editor Anna Wintour.
It is understood Bella, 32, lives in the English capital with her husband but it is unclear if she saw her movie star mother or country star stepfather during the brief visit.
Meanwhile, Nicole's only son Connor, 30, lives in Clearwater, Florida, a small city closely associated with the Scientology community.
The Aussie movie star has not been photographed with her two elder children in more than 15 years and typically declines to discuss them in interviews out of respect of their religious beliefs.
Tom and Nicole married in a private Christmas Eve ceremony in 1990, less than a year after he finalised his divorce from actress Mimi Rogers.
The pair were married for 11 years and adopted Bella in 1992 and Connor in 1995 before separating in 2001.
Kidman, 58, and Cruise, 63, were reportedly given joint custody of Bella and her younger brother Connor in the divorce.
However, the adopted children, who are devout Scientologists like Cruise, opted to live with their father.

Singer Ed Sheeran reveals disturbing truth about life in the spotlight

Singer Ed Sheeran has revealed how his extreme stardom continues to put his family in danger. The global superstar, who recently announced his 2026 Australian tour, revealed on Sunday that he's been forced to employ extensive security measures to protect his children from extreme fans. Sheeran shares daughter Lyra, four, and Jupiter, three, with Cherry Seaborn. 'It's things that people don't really even take into account,' Sheeran told 60 Minutes. 'Like kidnap threats and s**t like that. We've had attempted break-ins, things left on my car. 'It's way more sinister than just fans turning up and wanting selfies.' Sheeran is fiercely protective of his daughters and does not allow fans to take photos of them. 'I've had some real arguments before,' he said. 'I'm fine with taking pictures, but I just think it's weird with a four-year-old and a three-year-old.' But Sheeran accepts: 'To be within the public sphere, you have to take it all, the good and the bad.' 'We have a level of security that probably won't change until I pass away. That's just our life now.' The English singer-songwriter returns to Perth for the first Aussie leg of his Loop Tour in January 2026, marking his first national performances since 2023. Announcing 11 shows across Australia and New Zealand in the summer, the four-time Grammy winner will touch down in WA for a singular Optus Stadium performance on January 31. He will then head east for two shows in each of Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne, before concluding the all-new tour with a one-off performance in Adelaide on March 5. Sheeran's forthcoming project Play — his eighth studio album — is due for release on September 12, with tracks Old Phone, Azizam and Sapphire already released. The album signals the conclusion of his three-year, 168-show Mathematics Tour that breached Aussie shores in 2023. 'Starting a brand new tour next year called the LOOP tour. New stage, new tricks, new set up, new songs and all the classics added in,' Sheeran told fans upon the tour announcement. Sheeran has sold in excess of 2.5 million tickets in his previous jaunts through Australia and New Zealand. General tickets will go on sale from 5pm AEST July 29, with pre-sale for Telstra and Frontier members staggered from July 25.

Political duo share surprise baby news

Melbourne Labor MP Josh Burns and Victorian Animal Justice councillor Georgie Purcell have announced that they're expecting a baby girl due in the new year. The political power couple shared the news in separate posts on social media on Sunday night. 'Georgie and I are so excited to share with you that we're expecting a baby girl in the very first few days of 2026,' Mr Burns wrote. This will be the Macnamara MP's second child, after daughter, Tia, from a former marriage. 'Our little baby already has the most excited and loving big sister in Tia. And she'll have a home full of animals, love, and fun,' he wrote. 'Next year, my team and I will keep working hard for the community we love, but I also plan on being a present and involved dad every step of the way. 'I'm over the moon excited and can't wait for this next chapter with my beautiful partner, Georgie, who I love with all my heart.' Melbourne Labor MP Josh Burns and Victorian Animal Justice councillor Georgie Purcell shared their baby news on Instagram. Ms Purcell is a prominent pro-Palestinian activist, while Mr Burns has publicly spoken about his Jewish faith and is vocally pro-Israel. Ms Purcell said it would be a 'vegan pregnancy (and baby),' and said she's been 'feeling good' during the pregnancy. The couple's first baby together is due in the first few days of 2026. Instagram Credit: Supplied However, she said her auto-immune condition has categorised her pregnancy as 'high-risk,' and this has required weekly hospital visits. 'This is obviously a vegan pregnancy (and baby) and I've been feeling good, which has let me keep pace with sitting weeks, late nights, international travel, community events and the general silliness of this job,' she wrote on Instagram. 'It's weekly hospital visits for the time being, and I am so grateful to the incredibly kind, reassuring and supportive medical care I've been receiving.' She also acknowledged her past abortions, stating that she was 'more grateful than ever before to have had access to choice so that I could do this on my own terms and timeline, and will always fight for everybody to have the same'.

Aussie singer G Flip and US star Chrishell Stause marry for the fourth time in medieval-themed wedding

Australian singer G Flip and US star Chrishell Stause have celebrated saying 'I do' for the fourth time with a medieval-themed wedding. G Flip, who uses they/them pronouns, and the Selling Sunset star renewed their vows on Saturday in Los Angeles. The couple rented out a castle in the Hollywood Hills for the occasion, TMZ reported. For the ceremony, Stause wore a white off-the-shoulder gown with a lace corset, while G Flip was dressed in a red tunic with a sword on their back. Stause shared photos from the wedding on her Instagram stories, including the invitation. 'By royal decree, we request the honor of your noble presence to witness the wedding ceremony of Lord Flipo & Lady Stause,' it read. 'Lord Flipo & Lady Stause bid thee join in revelry and royal delight. 'Attire: Medieval, Renaissance, Regal and Festive attire encouraged. RSVP with haste.' Stause shared behind-the-scenes details from her big day, revealing that she'd written her vows on a scroll made from dipping paper into a pan with brown liquid. Two knights dressed in full costume also attended the ceremony, along with celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton. Stause and G Flip first met at a Halloween party in October 2021. G Flip then enlisted Stause to feature in their music video for Get Me Outta Here. Stause confirmed her relationship with the Australian musician in May 2022, during Selling Sunset's reunion episode. In July 2022, Stause and G Flip secretly tied the knot in Las Vegas in July 2022. They then renewed their vows a year later in a ceremony in Palm Springs in July 2023. In July 2024, the couple held a third ceremony in Melbourne while they were in Australia celebrating Stause's 43rd birthday. Speaking to Us weekly in May, G Flip revealed they have a goal to wed Stause every year. 'I think it's really healthy and it's good to update your vows every year. I think all couples should do it,' G Flip said. 'I reckon it makes you stronger, looking your person in the eyes and promising them new things every year.' Strause added: 'We normally plan it a week out, so it's super last-minute and then it's more spontaneous. 'We don't ever want to take the fun out of it, so it becomes a chore. That's the only rule: It can't be stressful. 'If you're newlyweds every year, that must help keep things spicy.'
