'Friday Night Lights 'Star Zach Gilford Files for Divorce from Kiele Sanchez After 12 Years of Marriage: Report

Yahoo19-04-2025
Zach Gilford and wife Kiele Sanchez are reportedly separating after 12 years of marriage.
The Friday Night Lights actor, 43, filed for divorce from the Lost alum, 47, on Friday, April 18, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
Gilford cited 'irreconcilable differences' as the reason for the longtime couple's split, and did not specify a date of separation, per TMZ.
The outlet also reported that the Gilford is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the couple's two kids — Zeppelin, 7, and Revel, 4 — and checked a box to award his estranged wife spousal support.
Representatives for Gilford and Sanchez did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Saturday, April 19.

Sanchez — who got engaged in December 2011 and tied the knot in 2012 — starred together in 2014's The Purge: Anarchy. More recently, Sanchez portrayed Gilford's on-screen wife in a recurring role in 2022's Criminal Minds: Evolution, in which he played serial killer Elias Voit.
The actors are quite private about their personal life, though Gilford occasionally shared glimpses into their time as both an on-screen and off-screen couple on Instagram. Sanchez's Instagram account, meanwhile, is private.
"Fun times with my fake family (real wife, fake kids),' Gilford captioned a selfie of the pair with the actors who portrayed their on-screen children in 2022.
The same year, the couple celebrated a decade of marriage with an anniversary trip, which Gilford also documented on Instagram, writing, 'Thank you to @sanchomonsto for 10 years of 'sexy-tinis.' "
The actor also shared a photo of the couple kissing to commemorate his 41st birthday in January 2023.

Gilford and Sanchez welcomed their first child, daughter Zeppelin Adele Gilford, in November 2017, news that came years after the couple announced that they had lost a baby near the end of Sanchez's third trimester.
'We regretfully confirm that Zach Gilford and Kiele Sanchez recently lost their child to a late-term miscarriage,' a rep for the couple told PEOPLE in 2015.
After welcoming Zeppelin via surrogate, the actors told PEOPLE, 'We have always wanted to be parents, and Zeppelin has made our dreams come true.'
Opening up about fatherhood — and Sanchez — after starting their family, Gilford told Us magazine that he can 'tear up' just by watching her as a new mother.
'My wife isn't like anyone I've ever met in my life,' he said in the 2018 interview. 'I think when people meet her they just fall in love with her. I feel like she's taught me how to love and you just see her looking at this baby and you just know she's a mama lion and nothing will ever happen to this kid. It's really incredible.'

Jamie Lee Curtis calls out film critic's 'harsh' review of 'Freakier Friday'

Jamie Lee Curtis is slamming a negative review of her new movie "Freakier Friday." After Time magazine posted an Instagram caption with its film critic Stephanie Zacharek's take on the beloved 2003 film's sequel (in theaters now), the Oscar winner slammed the reviewer's opinion. The Aug. 8 caption said Zacharek wrote that "no one, as far as we know, actually asked Disney for a sequel to 2003's buoyant, surprisingly unsyrupy generation-gap comedy 'Freaky Friday.'" In response, Curtis commented that the review "SEEMS a TAD HARSH. SOME people LOVE it. Me being one." Fashion designer Brandon Maxwell defended the film in the comments, writing "I really loved this movie ❤️" while online travel agency Expedia joked that Zacharek's review "sounds like someone needs a vacation 👀 May we suggest a digital detox to Nantucket spending your day taking in charming streets and peaceful beaches?" 'Parent Trap' reunion! Lindsay Lohan explains Elaine Hendrix's 'Freakier Friday' cameo The new film picks up over two decades after angsty high school student Anna Coleman (Lindsay Lohan) swapped bodies with her mom, psychologist Tess Coleman (Curtis). This time, Anna is mom to a teenage daughter of her own, Harper Coleman (Julia Butters). And Tess is now a podcast host and overbearing grandmother. Chad Michael Murray reprises his role as Jake, a motorcycle riding heartthrob. In her review, Zacharek also wrote that the sequel "is a movie that manages to humiliate everybody." "And it appears to exist largely for one reason: to grift off the fondness many adults have for the original, even though the sequel has none of that picture's breezy, observant charm," she added. In a recent interview with USA TODAY, the 66-year-old Curtis opened up about returning to her matriarchal character over 20 years later. "There was no possible way we could have done a sequel to 'Freaky Friday' until Lindsay (who is 39) was old enough chronologically to be the mother of a 15-year-old," Curtis said. "So this just needed a time to cook." Curtis realized Lohan had finally aged into the role during the release of "Halloween Ends" in 2022. "I counted on my fingers, and I was like, 'How old is she?'" Curtis said. "I think she was 35 at the time. I was like: 'Oh, wait a minute! She could've had a baby at 20!' " "I picked up the phone and called (Disney CEO) Bob Iger and said, 'I'm just letting you know I've been around the world and the only thing people want to know is when is there a "Freaky Friday" (sequel) and Lindsay is old enough to have a 15-year-old,'" Curtis revealed. What kept Kelly Clarkson going during ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's ‘devastating' cancer fight

'Workhorse' Kelly Clarkson kept going during her ex Brandon Blackstock's private three-year cancer battle because she had no other choice. The Grammy winner, 43, not only had a syndicated daily talk show to deliver, but she was also gearing up to launch her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace in July, just weeks before his shocking death. Blackstock passed away at age 48 on Thursday, August 7, after suffering from melanoma, a serious form of skin cancer. 14 Kelly Clarkson performing at the Citi Concert Series for the 'Today' Show in New York on May 6. Instagram/@kellyclarkson Clarkson held his diagnosis tight to her chest, with sources revealing she told her talk show staff the news in confidence and asked for confidentiality out of respect for the family. Insiders reveal it was those staff members who kept Clarkson going through the hardest time of her life. 'A big part of it was making her schedule available for transporting the children to visit Brandon, and all of the emotions that came with this difficult time,' the insider told Us Weekly, referring to her mysterious 'Kelly Clarkson Show' 10-episode absence earlier this year. 14 Kelly Clarkson returned to her talk show after a 10-episode absence in March. She hates disappointing people, truly. The thing that kept her going was knowing how many people depend on her, like her crews and employees,' they disclosed. Clarkson, who postponed the remaining August shows of her Las Vegas residency this week, is set to return to work next month. While her residency isn't scheduled to pick back up until November, sources said 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' is still scheduled to return for Season 7 in September. 14 Kelly Clarkson performing during the 'Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions' on July 11, 2025, at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. 'She has family and friends, but at the end of the day, it's all on her,' the source explained. 'Thankfully, the Blackstocks have come really close together in this time, so they would be happy to be there for the kids.' Blackstock is survived by his three siblings and four children. Before marrying Clarkson, he welcomed daughter Savannah, 23, and son Seth, 18, with his first wife, Melissa Ashworth. 14 Brandon Blackstock died on August 7 after a three-year battle with cancer. Instagram/@kellyclarkson Just one month before his death, Savannah revealed she was expecting her second baby. 'When she found out that he was sick, she remained protective of him for their sake,' a source told People after Blackstock's death. 'Kelly has always tried to keep things classy. It became clear earlier this year that Brandon was not doing well. She's been devastated for the kids,' they added. Blackstock's family announced his passing in a statement obtained by The Post. 'It is with great sadness that we share the news that Brandon Blackstock has passed away. Brandon bravely battled cancer for more than three years,' his loved ones shared on Thursday. 'He passed away peacefully and was surrounded by family. We thank you for your thoughts and prayers and ask everyone to respect the family's privacy during this very difficult time,' they added.

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards' daughter claims she was nearly sex trafficked

Sami Sheen's night out with friends nearly turned into a nightmare. The 21-year-old daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen claimed in a TikTok this week that she 'almost got sex trafficked' while hanging out with friends in a restaurant parking lot late Monday night. 'We didn't leave until midnight … we were outside taking photos… we were there for five minutes,' Sami explained. The OnlyFans model continued to share how the situation escalated quickly. 'Out of nowhere, this man comes up to us asking for money,' she said. After telling him that she didn't have any cash, she claimed that he didn't back off and kept asking if she could send him money through apps like Zelle or Venmo. Another man appeared — and Sheen said her instincts immediately kicked in. 'The second I saw this man, I had the worst feeling in my stomach … like 'get the f— away from him right now,'' she remarked. She said that the man started asking if she spoke Spanish and saying other things she couldn't understand, then reached into his back pocket. 4 Sami Sheen, the daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen, said on TikTok that she 'almost got sex trafficked' in a restaurant parking lot. samisheen/Instagram 4 'The second I saw this man, I had the worst feeling in my stomach … like 'get the f— away from him right now,'' the OnlyFans model said.
