There have been a lot of discussions around Colors TV's popular reality show Bigg Boss returning with a new season both on OTT and television. A source close to the show tells us that it is yet to be decided whether it will be Bigg Boss 19 or Bigg Boss OTT 4. According to our source, Bigg Boss' new season will appear either in the last week of July or early August. Also, meetings are still on internally to decide whether one long season will run, or the team will retain the same old format of OTT, followed by the TV version. The source tells us, 'What is sure is that the show will happen with the Viacom group, mostly on Jio Hotstar, however, clarity on the same is yet to come.'
'As of now, it's not decided if the OTT version will air first or the TV version, it might just happen in the same old way, it has been running all this while,' the source added. It is also said that the teams are considering an OTT-first model for this season, however, there are no confirmations on the show's duration or platform, or even the versions it will appear in.
Several media reports suggest that Salman Khan will shoot for the new season's promo by the end of June. Another update doing the rounds about the show is that the makers will go be to a celebs-only format, and the latest addition will not have any social media influencers in the mix. However, no confirmation around the casting has been made yet. The last season of Bigg Boss 18 was won by actor Karanveer Mehra, while Vivian Dsena became the runner-up.

Sitaare Zameen Par Director On Aamir Khan's Decision To Retire: ‘Knew He'd Never Quit Acting'

Last Updated: Director RS Prasanna reveals he knew Aamir Khan's decision to quit acting was emotional, not final, and opens up on their bond during Sitaare Zameen Par. Director RS Prasanna, best known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, is all set to return with Sitaare Zameen Par, starring Aamir Khan and marking the debut of 10 specially-abled actors. While talking about the journey of working on the slice-of-life sports drama, the filmmaker also recalled Aamir's brief decision to quit acting post the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha. In a recent conversation with SCREEN (Indian Express), Prasanna opened up about the moment he heard Khan wanted to take a break. 'It was very shocking! Imagine when a superstar like Aamir meets me and decides to quit acting, people would blame me. Aisa kya tha director mein ki he made a superstar quit acting!" he joked. He continued, 'But I knew it was an emotional response by Aamir sir. Like the sitaare, he's also got that keeda of acting. Aamir sir is a child of cinema. He's never going to quit acting. I told him that. So, you take a break. Certainly, you should take a break because you're going through an emotional phase. And time heals." Drawing a parallel, Prasanna added, 'To say you'll quit acting is like Sachin Tendulkar saying he'd quit cricket or AR Rahman saying he'd quit music. It's unheard of!" When asked if he noticed any change in Aamir's demeanor after his return, Prasanna shared, 'When I first met him in 2020, I found him to be a very real and vulnerable man. The time he took off to spend time with his family and loved ones healed him a lot." The filmmaker also recalled Aamir being touched by audience appreciation. 'I remember him telling me that he was at an airport, and so many people came to him and said, 'We loved Laal Singh Chaddha. Keep doing this kind of cinema. We love you!'" Aamir Khan's next, Sitaare Zameen Par, which also stars Genelia Deshmukh, hits theatres on June 20, 2025. The film is described as a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par and introduces 10 debutant actors with special needs. First Published:

Bigg Boss 18 fame Edin Rose opens up about freezing her eggs; says 'I want babies, but I don't know about the man part yet'

Edin Rose, who rose to fame with her appearance on Bigg Boss 18, has always caught attention for her strong presence and vibrant personality. With her fan following growing steadily, Edin has been making waves both on-screen and off-screen. The actress recently wrapped up the shoot for her upcoming film Love Insurance Kompany, which is backed by superstar Nayanthara's production. While her professional journey is on a steady rise, Edin also continues to win hearts with her grounded and kind nature. In a recent interview with Filmygyaan, she made a personal revelation that has sparked both curiosity and admiration: 'I'm going to freeze my eggs, I want babies but I don't know about the man part yet. I am going to do it in two days. I'm going to freeze my eggs. I want babies. I am 26, I'm turning 27 and I feel like my life is getting over as I'm getting old. If it were to happen organically and I get married well and good. I'm a family oriented person. I do want to get married and have kids but there's a high chance I won't find a partner how I want him to be because of the generation we live in." She further added, "My mom came two days ago because I was super sick and I sat her down. I told her I want to have a very important conversation with you. I told her this week I'm going to freeze my eggs. My mom is a very open minded person but in such things she's a little old school and she gave me a look. I was like what? She told me why can't you do things the traditional way and she asked me to get married. I said 'get married to who?' Do you know any man because I don't know any man? She is like rishte aate rehte hain. I told her why would I want to go through that trauma aaj banda accha hai kal nahi hua toh? What if he doesn't love me? I've seen so many cases where a man is head-over-heels in love with a woman, she gets pregnant and is busy with kids and that man is cheating. Who wants to go through it? I told my mom look your husband was good, mine might not be so let me just freeze my eggs because I want babies beautiful like me. I am very fond of kids, but I don't know about the man part." In an age where conversations about fertility, single parenting, and women's autonomy are finally getting the space they deserve, Edin's candidness adds an authentic voice to the dialogue.
