A Young and the Restless Newman Takeover After June 16

A Young and the Restless Newman Takeover After June 16

Yahoo21-06-2025
Victor, Nikki, and Nick are all off to meet the mysterious Aristotle Dumas on the June 16 episode of The Young and the Restless. Along with Sharon, Sally, and Billy, they're all playing a lively guessing game of Who Is Dumas? Which means they've taken their eyes off the prize? And what's the prize? Why, Newman Enterprises, of course… and who was left at home to watch the store?
We all know that Victor (Eric Braeden) calls Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) 'my baby.' (Which is patronizing and condescending and, if we do say so ourselves… creepy.) But we — and she — know who Victor's real baby is. It's the company he built from the ground up with no help from anyone and without ever doing a bad or illegal thing ever: Newman Enterprises.
Victor cares more about it than he does about his precious family, no matter how much he might insist to the contrary. That's why he keeps hiring and firing his children and other relatives from it. Nobody is quite good enough to run it — not the way Victor wants it run.

Victor is only going to France with Nikki and Nick (Joshua Morrow) because he wants to make sure Dumas doesn't do anything silly, like give Billy (Jason Thompson), Sally (Courtney Hope) or Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) the means by which they might put a chink in Newman Enterprises' armor.
He left Adam (Mark Grossman) in charge, confident that his younger son would never do anything that might make his daddy love him less (especially since Victor has already made it clear in countless way to Adam that he loves him less than Victoria [Amelia Heinle] and Nick. Abby [Melissa Ordway] doesn't count.)

Except Victor didn't count on Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) making sad faces at Adam about following Victor's orders and going after Billy. Adam will do anything Chelsea says. He told her he'll deal with Victor. Could that be stealing his entire company out from under Victor while he's away? What will Victor do without his 'baby' then?

Knebworth 2024 hint as Oasis star Noel Gallagher heaps praise on brother Liam

Noel Gallagher has given his inaugural interview since the commencement of the Oasis reunion tour, lauding his brother Liam for "smashing it" while confessing that his own legs "turned to jelly" on the opening night. He remained tight-lipped when questioned about the likelihood of the band performing at Knebworth next year, a milestone concert that many fans are eagerly anticipating and now hope might be possible. The 58 year old guitarist and Oasis songwriter chatted with his mates Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent on TalkSport about his favourite football team, Manchester City, before the conversation shifted to the monumental tour. This follows after Peggy Gallagher was spotted with a big star at an Oasis gig as she finally gets to see her sons' reunion tour. READ MORE: Nottingham Forest v Brentford player ratings as sensational duo on a different level in super win READ MORE: Nottingham Forest transfer need is clear but one move won't be beaten amid 'telepathic' beauty Regarding the reunion with Liam, Noel expressed: "I've been completely blown away. It's difficult to put into words. It's kind of every night is the crowd's first night, so every night has kinda got the same energy to it. But it's been truly amazing. I'm not usually short for words, but I can't really answer." Reflecting on the first night in Cardiff, the band's initial gig in nearly two decades, he added: "We're not really a band who kind of have huddles before we go on or anything like that.", reports the Mirror. "I can't speak for anywhere else, but for me personally, I grossly underestimated what I was getting into. After about five minutes I was like can I just go back to the dressing room and start this again. "I don't mind telling you my legs went to jelly about halfway through the second song and I could have done with going back. It has been an amazing thing." Noel then shared some warm words about his brother Liam. The duo have made a habit of walking out hand-in-hand for every show in Dublin, Edinburgh, London, their hometown of Wembley, and the opening weekend in Cardiff. Speaking about their on-stage embraces, he said: "We are not those kinda guys. It is great just to be back with Bonehead and Liam and just be doing it again. I guess when it is all said and done we will reflect on it. It's good being back in the band with Liam, I forgot how funny he was!". Commenting on Liam's universally praised vocals, he said: "Liam is smashing it, I am proud of him. Having fronted a band for 16 years I know how hard that is. I couldn't do the stadium thing like he does, I have gotta say man I look at him and think 'good for you mate'." When asked about Knebworth or the end of the tour, Noel responded with a chuckle: "Lets talk about football." He discussed Manchester City's recent victory and expressed his excitement for Oasis' upcoming performance at the River Plate stadium in Argentina this November. He added: "It's the penultimate show, and we've played there a few times before. Without a doubt, Argentina is one of our top five favourite places to perform worldwide. "We are going to Toronto on Friday and then we're in the States for the best part of a month and then Mexico and then back for two more Wembleys. "When it all started there were a few people who I thought would come looking for tickets but after the first gig my phone exploded. Once they had seen it online there was a mad scramble for it." He confessed it was extraordinary to witness countless supporters outside the venues singing along to the performances and remarked: "Something else is happening that we haven't put our fingers on yet." Oasis are touring for the first time in 16 years and have now finished their UK and Ireland dates apart from two additional Wembley performances when they return from America. Tickets became available last year and triggered extraordinary demand. The concerts, which kicked off in Cardiff on July 4, have garnered glowing reviews across the board and generated emotional moments both amongst audiences and on stage.

Research says playing Zelda can make you feel happier in life

Video games are not merely a form of digital recreation and a means to blow off some steam. Fitness games have proved their worth at boosting mental well-being, while some are finding a purpose in addressing phantom limb pain and helping people with mobility issues in their wrists and hands. As per new research, playing an open-world title like Zelda can significantly increase your happiness. What's the latest on Zelda and science? A team of experts from Imperial College in London, Kyushu Sangyo University, and Georgia State University conducted a randomized test involving more than 500 students. The students were asked to play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and watch Studio Ghibli films such as My Neighbor Totoro or Kiki's Delivery Service. At the end of the study, students were presented with a questionnaire that sought to gauge their sense of exploration, calm, mastery, skill, purpose, and meaning in life after exploring the well-received open-world adventure. Based on the students' responses, the researchers came to the conclusion that playing the Zelda series game can help cultivate a sense of happiness by inspiring a spirit of wonder and exploration. Here's a notable excerpt from the research paper: Recommended Videos 'Engaging with these archetypal narratives can prompt a sense of mission: players feel they are contributing to a cause bigger than themselves, even if it is within a fictional world. This 'bigger than self' feeling can be deeply meaningful. Furthermore, many players find calm and meditative moments in the game by simply riding through open fields, quietly gathering resources, or watching sunrises atop tall peaks.' Why does this research matter? Games are often seen as a form of distraction, but after conducting their research, the experts note that they are a means of 'active escapism' that revitalizes energy. That, in turn, helped cope with the feeling of stress, anxiety, and burnout in the students who were a part of the study. Andreas B. Eisingerich, co-author of the research paper and a professor at the Imperial College Business School, remarked that engaging with the world of Zelda can 'actively nurture essential human capacities—exploration, tranquility, purpose-finding, and happiness—and, thus, offer valuable pathways to enhance everyday well-being.' Interestingly, experts claim that watching the nostalgia-evoking Studio Ghibli films and also playing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild can trigger increased happiness, calm, purpose, and a sensation of discovering meaning in life.
