Collectors must work diligently to make 1 cr women crorepatis
Hyderabad: The Panchayat Raj Minister Dhanasri Anasuya (Seethakka) directed the district collectors to make arrangements to inaugurate Solar Plants owned by Women Groups on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 this year.
In a video conference with the collectors, the Minister of Panchayati Raj Danasari Anasuya Seethakka said that the Indira Mahila Shakti CM's flagship program of the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. The Collectors should work with the goal of making one crore women crorepatis. If Telangana Rising 2047 is to be realised, women's associations should be strengthened. Collectors should work to ensure that women's associations set up solar plants and petrol stations. The places required for them should be identified immediately and work should be started.
The Minister said that agreements have already been made with solar installation companies district-wise and the work on solar plants should be started in coordination with them. Construction work of Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans in 22 districts should be completed by November. Work should be expedited in coordination with Panchayati Raj Engineering Department officials. Poor children come to government schools and Anganwadi centers. Therefore, collectors should recognize their importance and work. Telangana will be good only if Anganwadis and government schools are good. Therefore, give special focus on them, said Seethakka.
'We are sewing uniforms for government school students through women's groups. 90 per cent of the uniform sewing work for this academic year has been completed. We will distribute uniforms to all students on the opening day of the school. Earlier, uniforms were received six months after the start of schools. But now we are entrusting the uniform responsibilities to women's groups and getting them to do the work. Anganwadis will open on the Wednesday. Before that, all the collectors should check how they are being managed. For the first time, we have given holidays to Anganwadis. Anganwadi buildings should be inspected by field level staff,' said Seethakka.

Ahead of Bihar polls, more MNREGA sanction power to mukhiyas, PRI allowances increased
In a significant decision ahead of Bihar Assembly polls, due later this year, Bihar has increased sanction amount MNREGA by a mukhiya from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. A mukhiya will have to seek any administrative approval for sanctioning amount up to `10 lakh in a financial year. Allowances for Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) would be also increased. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar announced this at a meeting of mukhiyas and PRIs. The matter is subject to cabinet approval later. Bihar has three-tier Panchayati Raj institutions — village panchayat (8053), panchayat samits (533) and zila parishad (38). The CM also said allowances of zila parishad president and vice presidents, mukhiyas, sarpanchs and ward members would be increased. Monthly allowance of zila parishad president was increased from Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000. A zila parishad vice president's allowance goes up from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15000. A mukhiya's allowance was increased to Rs 7,500 from Rs 5,000. Panchayati Raj department secretary Manoj Kumar told reporters that a panchayat representative's family would get ex-gratia compensation of Rs 5 lakh in case of accident death or normal death in service years.

19,000 rice bags supplied to government schools, welfare hostels in Annamayya district: Joint Collector
The Annamayya district administration has commenced the distribution of quality rice to all government schools and welfare hostels under the PM Poshan–Dokka Seethamma Mid-Day Meal scheme from Thursday, following the reopening of schools. Speaking to the media, District Joint Collector Adarsh Rajendran said that around 19,000 rice bags weighing 25 kg each have already supplied to as many as 2,009 government schools and 171 welfare hostels across the district. 'To strictly curb the menace of diversion of the stocks and to maintain transparency, the rice bags are equipped with QR codes and GPS tracking system. Scanning the code will display details such as the source farmer and the mill. Issues about the quality of rice can be traced forthwith and such gaps be filled with technology,' he said. The Joint Collector also prompted a live demonstration of the QR code scan module during the media briefing, at the Collectorate here. Senior officials from the departments of Revenue, Civil Supplies, Panchayat Raj, and Education took part in the meeting.
