Kaizer Chiefs to push to finalise deal for Spurs pair
Kaizer Chiefs appear to be closing in on a double swoop for Cape Town Spurs' young talents, Asanele Velebayi and Luke Baartman, as negotiations gather pace behind the scenes. According to a source, Chiefs are working to resolve the transfer saga by complying with FIFA regulations surrounding development compensation, but they're also willing to go beyond what's required. FIFA compensation rules come into play Insiders close to the matter explained that, under FIFA rules, a development compensation fee of R1.5 million per player applies. This means Amakhosi could owe R3 million in total if they receive the green light to register both players.
