Shruti Seth recalls Farida Jalal warning her not to remind big actors like Aamir Khan of their lines: ‘You'll get scolded badly'
Speaking to Hindi Rush, she said, 'Main Farida ji (Farida Jalal) ko unki lines yaad dilati thi toh vo mujhe kehti thi, 'Ek din jab tum kisi bade actor ke samne aise bol dogi toh bahaut maar khaogi'. (I used to remind Farida ji [Farida Jalal] of her lines and she would say, 'One day, when you say something like this in front of a big actor, you'll get scolded badly.')'
Despite the warning, Shruti recalled reminding Aamir of his dialogues, but the superstar didn't take it the wrong way. She said, 'And I remember mai ek scene rehearse kar rahi thi toh usme maine Aamir ko I said, 'Nahi nahi ye nahi aapki ye line hai'. Aamir said, 'Oh yeah right' (And I remember, during a rehearsal, I told Aamir, 'No, no, not this one, this is your line.' And Aamir said, 'Oh yeah, right!')' She added, 'But Aamir was such a chilled-out actor and it was so nice to be on set with him.'
Shruti also lauded Aamir and Kajol for making her feel welcome, despite being such big stars. She said, 'For me, to share screen space with Aamir and Kajol, I was like mujhe do aise top-notch actors ke sath kaam karne ka mauka mil raha hai. But unhone kabhi aisa mehsoos nahi karvaya ki mai Aamir hoon ya Kajol hoon. (I was like, 'I'm getting the opportunity to work with such top-notch actors.' But they never made me feel like 'I'm Aamir' or 'I'm Kajol'.)'
On the professional front, Aamir's last film Sitaare Zameen Par was a massive hit at the box office. After the films' success, Aamir released it on YouTube through a pay-per-view model. Kajol, on the other hand, was seen in Sarzameen, which was panned at critics and the audience alike.

Korean Supreme Court rules 'Baby Shark' not a case of plagiarism; scores victory for Pinkfong in 3 Million copyright case
'Baby Shark', the #1 streaming video worldwide After a six-year battle, the South Korea's Supreme Court has ruled that Pinkfong's hit children's song 'Baby Shark', is not a case of plagiarism. The dispute began when American composer Jonathan Robert Wright alleged that Pinkfong's 2015 Korean version, and the latter 2016 English version, were copied from his 2011 arrangement of the folk tune. He demanded damages of about ₩3 million. But, according to the court's ruling, both his work and Pinkfong's are rearrangements of a traditional song with no single copyright owner. Reason Behind The Verdict According to the judgment reported by Yonhap News, Wright's version lacked enough originality to be considered a secondary copyrighted work. The Korean Copyright Commission's evaluation, cited by the court, found that his 2011 song added only instruments like electric guitar and synthesizers to a melody already sung for generations in camps and classrooms. Under Korean law, familiarity and widespread oral tradition outweighed his claim to exclusive ownership. Song's Record-Breaking 10 billion views Pinkfong (then SmartStudy) gave 'Baby Shark' its now-iconic "Ah~ gi shark, doo roo doo roo" hook and bouncy animation in 2015, followed by a bubbly English version in 2016. That version went from a local children's song to world's most-viewed YouTube video in November 2020, and in January 2022, it became the first video ever to surpass 10 billion views (YouTube public data). A win for creativity The Supreme Court's verdict, grounded in legal reasoning but resonating with playgrounds worldwide, protects Pinkfong's adaptations while affirming that some songs are part of humanity's collective memory. Karan Johar Asks Fans To 'Move On' From Ibrahim-Khushi Kapoor Bashing For Nadaaniyan: 'Leave Us Alone'
Last Updated: After months of memes and harsh reviews for Nadaaniyan, Karan Johar admits the project didn't get the love they hoped for – and wants everyone to move on. Nadaaniyan dropped on OTT with a promising young cast but quickly became the internet's latest punchline. From brutal reviews to meme overload, the Ibrahim Ali Khan–Khushi Kapoor starrer found itself at the centre of online trolling. Speaking on a podcast with Suchin Mehrotra, Karan admitted that the response stung – but urged audiences to stop dragging it. 'As a creative artist, as a collaborator, no film that receives criticism ever makes me happy. How can it? Even if a gazillion people watched it and it wasn't liked, it was watched for the wrong reasons," he said. The filmmaker made it clear he wasn't in denial about the show's reception. 'You cannot! I am sorry, I will be very stupid to be deluded about the fact that it didn't get the love, did not get liked, it was dissed, it was b**ched, and maybe a bit more than it should have. I am like, 'Yaar, let it go' after a point. It's a film you didn't like, move on, can you?" 'Bashing Nadaaniyan Became A Trend' Karan recalled how content creators turned the backlash into a trend that kept the conversation going for weeks. 'There were YouTube creators and content creators who were making four videos on it, you made one, right? You know you're getting the hits again and again, because bashing Nadaaniyan was like the fashion of that moment. It was really making people kind of go and watch your YouTube video and they were enjoying it. It was celebrated negatively and that does happen sometimes." 'We've Accepted It, Now You Move On': Karan Johar While Karan said that the project didn't receive the love they hoped for, he also said the team had learnt from it. 'That put aside, I have no way to tell you that it got massive numbers so I am happy about it. No, I can't be happy about it. It didn't get the love. We have to accept it, acknowledge it, move on from it, and do better next time." The producer revealed that discussions had taken place internally and hinted there'd be no public apology. 'All of us are very self-aware, it's a part of my personality type. Will I go and apologise for it? No, I will probably speak with the team, take stock of it, and do that. We have dealt with it internally and that's all we really want to speak about it. But now, can you move on to the next bad show or film? Leave us alone. We have moved on and so should you." Produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment and directed by Shauna Gautam, the project also featured Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudhary, Jugal Hansraj, Dia Mirza and Archana Puran Singh.
