Did You Know Ibrahim Ali Khan Filmed Sarzameen Before Nadaaniyan?
Sarzameen, a political thriller starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Kajol, is now available to stream on JioCinema. Prithviraj Sukumaran heaped praise on his co-star Ibrahim Ali Khan, highlighting his dedication and growth during the film's production. What's more, Sarzameen marks Ibrahim's actual film debut, shot before Nadaaniyaan, with Prithviraj commending his performance.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed, 'This was his first film. This film got delayed due to multiple reasons. And, now ends up being the second release. But this was the first time he ever came in front of the camera on a film set."
'And I was a witness, a part of his journey leading up to the shoot. I, as a matter of fact, know that he has put in a lot of work, a humongous amount of work for this film. I really like him in this film. And I say this very objectively, not because I am here to promote Sarzameen, but I really like Ibrahim in this film," he added.
What Did Prithviraj Sukumaran Advise Ibrahim Ali Khan?
Prithviraj also recalled the advice he gave to Ibrahim, saying, 'The last day of shoot, I told him, 'I'm very proud of you for the kind of work you have put in for this film. But I want to tell you that if you think it is going to be easier from here onwards, it's not. It's just going to be as tough as it always is."
He went on to say, 'At any point, if you think things are getting easier, you're doing something wrong. So, the idea remains that you put in the same amount of work for every one of your films.' And he understands that he might be from a very privileged background. But he understands how valuable this opportunity is."

Lindsay Lohan On Hollywood Stereotyping And Paparazzi Trauma: ‘I Have Extreme PTSD'
Curated By : Last Updated: August 03, 2025, 11:53 IST Lindsay Lohan spoke about battling PTSD from relentless paparazzi attention. Lindsay Lohan is opening up about the long-lasting impact of fame and how Hollywood continues to limit her as an actor, despite decades in the industry. Speaking to The Times UK ahead of the release of her upcoming film Freakier Friday, the sequel to the 2003 hit Freaky Friday, the 39-year-old star spoke candidly about the pressures of fame, being stereotyped, and her decision to leave Hollywood behind for good. Lohan revealed that she still finds it difficult to land diverse roles, often being cast in similar characters despite proving her range. 'Yeah, I do think I was pigeonholed," she said, adding that working with Meryl Streep on A Prairie Home Companion once felt like a breakthrough moment. 'Which is frustrating. Because, well, you know me as this, but you also know I can do that. So let me! Give me the chance." She continued, 'I have to break that cycle and open doors to something else, leaving people no choice. And in due time, if Martin Scorsese reaches out, I'm not going to say no." After stepping away from acting in 2008 to focus on her personal life, Lohan eventually left Los Angeles altogether, relocating to Dubai in 2015. The move, she says, gave her peace away from the relentless paparazzi culture. 'I don't ever want my family to go through what I went through. I have extreme PTSD from it. It's not safe. It's not fair," she shared. On a separate talk show appearance, she explained how the Middle Eastern city gave her the freedom she needed. 'You can't take someone's photo without asking. It's just different." Besides Freakier Friday, Lohan is also set to star in and executive produce Count My Lies, an upcoming Hulu thriller. She plays a manipulative nanny at the center of a web of secrets. Lohan has also expressed a strong desire to return to classic, character-driven films. 'There are not many major movies I want to go and see that are like that — there's a gap and I'm craving to do work like that," she said. Now married to Bader Shammas, whom she met in Dubai, and mother to son Luai, Lohan says she's entering a new phase. Ibrahim Ali Khan must learn to embrace criticism, says 'Sarzameen' director Kayoze Irani- Read here
Filmmaker Kayoze Irani , who made his directorial debut with 'Sarzameen', has spoken candidly about the scrutiny faced by his film's lead actor, Ibrahim Ali Khan . In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Kayoze acknowledged the mixed reactions that Ibrahim received for his performance, not just in Sarzameen, but also in his debut film Nadaaniyan. 'He has put himself in the spotlight. When you do that, you must allow the public to criticise you. This same public will also love you when the time comes,' said Kayoze. Both Kayoze and Ibrahim come from privileged film backgrounds—Kayoze is the son of Boman Irani, while Ibrahim is the son of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh . Addressing the ongoing nepotism debate, the director admitted, 'Yes, I know Ibrahim is a nepo kid—so am I. But the real challenge begins after the doors open. You still have to prove yourself.' 'Mean Comments Aren't Criticism'; The Line Between Honest Feedback and Hate While Kayoze accepts criticism as part of the journey, he took issue with those who resort to hateful remarks without even watching the film. 'It becomes a problem when people are just being nasty for the sake of it. That's not feedback, that's taking joy in someone else's struggle,' he said. However, he also added that responding to such negativity doesn't help much. 'It won't change anything. What will change things is him coming forward and proving people wrong with his work,' he said firmly. 'It's Never Going to Get Easier'; Why Kayoze and Ibrahim Are in This Together Starring alongside veterans Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran, Ibrahim still has a long road ahead. 'They have nothing to prove. But Ibrahim and I—we do,' said Kayoze. Despite the criticism, he believes that audiences have begun to warm up to Ibrahim's screen presence more than they did in his debut. 'I've read the comments, the reviews—there's a shift. But it's now on him to keep going, one step at a time. And no, it's never going to get easier—for either of us.
