Supergirl Cast Reveal: Jason Momoa Joins As Lobo In Milly Alcock-led Film
Just days after releasing the first poster of Supergirl, the makers have revealed the list of some key stars who will appear in the film.
Following the release of David Corenswet-led Superman, the revamped DC Universe (DCU) is gearing up for the release of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Directed by Craig Gillespie and written by Ana Nogueira, the film is set to hit the theatres next year. Just days after releasing the first poster of Supergirl, the makers have now revealed the list of a few key stars who will appear in the second instalment of the DCU.
It has already been confirmed that Milly Alcock of House of the Dragon and Sirens fame is set to play the titular character, Kara Zor-El / Supergirl. The cousin of Kal-El, also known as Superman, she made a special appearance towards the end of the James Gunn-directed film, offering a glimpse of what to expect from her character. She was raised on the destroyed planet Krypton, where everyone around her died at a very young age.
Previously, DCU co-head James Gunn told ScreenRant that Supergirl will be a 'total mess" in the film and discussed that they will be telling the emotional backstory of the character.
According to Just Jared, the very young Eve Ridley will portray Ruthye Marye Knoll, who is a noble and honourable young warrior. She will travel across the galaxy with Supergirl with her personal mission of hunting down Krem, who is responsible for killing her father. The film's main antagonist, Krem of the Yellow Hills, will be played by Matthias Schoenaerts.
As the Supergirl film will give a glimpse into her past life, it will also feature her parents. David Krumholtz will play Supergirl's father, whereas Emily Beecham will portray the role of Supergirl's mother.
Meanwhile, actor Jason Momoa has been roped in for a cameo as Lobo, who is an alien mercenary and bounty hunter from the utopian planet of Czarnia. The 45-year-old actor has previously expressed his desire to play the character. In a chat with Fandango, he said, 'If they call me and ask me to play him, it's a f–k yeah…it's the perfect role." There are also reports claiming that David Corenswet might make a cameo in Supergirl, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, whose filming reportedly wrapped up recently, with shooting taking place in Iceland and England, is scheduled for release in theatres on June 26, 2026. The official synopsis of the film reads: 'Supergirl travels across the galaxy to celebrate her 21st birthday with Krypto the Superdog. Along the way, she meets a young woman named Ruthye and winds up on a murderous quest for revenge."

Ishaan Khatter Opens Up About Reunion With Janhvi Kapoor: 'We Could Lean Onto Each Other...'
Ishaan Khatter opens up about filming Dhadak with Janhvi Kapoor as they reunite for Neeraj Ghaywan's Homebound, which premiered at Cannes 2025. Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, who made their Bollywood debut together in Dhadak back in 2018, have reunited after seven years for their upcoming film Homebound. The Neeraj Ghaywan directorial had its world premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival 2025 in May and is also set to be screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Dhadak, directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, was a Hindi adaptation of Nagraj Manjule's acclaimed Marathi film Sairat. The film explored issues of casteism and honour killing and went on to perform well at the box office. The much-anticipated spiritual sequel Dhadak 2, starring Triptii Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, is slated for release on August 1. Now, ahead of Homebound, Ishaan opened up about his experience of working with Janhvi on Dhadak. In an interview with Zoom, the actor reflected on one of the film's most emotional scenes and shared, 'On Dhadak's set, Janhvi and I could lean onto each other." He further explained, 'My character is going through a lot of conflict. He is trying to be a man for her but he is not able to. He is dealing with his own issues. He has been uprooted from his family. You can see the cracks in him, his vulnerability. He is trying to be supportive, but inevitably he's dealing with his own demons." In Homebound, Ishaan stars alongside Janhvi Kapoor and Vishal Jethwa. The story follows two childhood friends—Shoaib Ali (played by Ishaan) and Chandan Kumar (played by Vishal)—who hail from a North Indian village and are determined to break free from the burden of their marginalised identities. However, a series of events leads to internal and external conflicts that test their bond. While the film has already garnered international attention at Cannes, its theatrical release date is still under wraps. Homebound marks a significant reunion for Ishaan and Janhvi, and fans are excited to see the duo together on screen once again.
