Liam Gallagher defends Scotland after Noel labels it 'third world country' ahead of Murrayfield gig
Oasis star Liam Gallagher was quick to stand up for Scotland during an argument with his older brother Noel, who branded it a "third world country". The High Flying Birds star previously mocked the country whilst having an online feud with Scots icon Lewis Capaldi.
Liam called his brother out on the remark after Noel previously branded him a 'moron' who would put his life on hold to get Oasis back together. Gallagher than hit back at Noel by tweeting his own definition joke of a moron.
He wrote: "Moron = The person who wishes aids on other people. Moron = The person who says Scotland is a third world country. Moron = The little one in Oasis with the big head and naff dress sense. As you were LG."
Noel later said that every tweet Liam puts out about him is a "nail in the coffin" of Oasis reunion hopes.
Addressing his brother directly, he added: "If you think for one minute I am going to share a stage with you after what you've said you are f****** more of a moron than you look."
Of course, Noel tweets have not aged well as the Gallagher brothers are now officially in the midst of their reunion tour - and their next stop is Scotland.
Liam and Noel are returning to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium for the first time in fifteen years in less than a week's time for their Oasis Live 25' reunion tour.
Despite Noel's previous harsh comments about Scotland, the brothers are playing three nights in the Capital on August 8, August 9 and August 12.
It's also worth noting that he did make the remark in 2019 during his feud with Capaldi, which has now been put to bed after Noel branded him a "good lad".
In addition to this, he was still married to his Scottish wife Sara McDonald at the time, who he officially split from in 2023, which makes his diss against the country even more eyebrow raising.
.
Edinburgh born Sara and Noel announced they were going their separate ways at the start of 2023 after 12 years of marriage and two children together. The pair share sons Donovan, 17, and Sonny, 15, together.
Scots music PR Sara was known to not get along with Liam and Noel previously revealed that she was also not a fan of Oasis' music.
After 15 years of a very public fall out, Noel and Liam finally put their past behind them and announced the Oasis reunion tour last August.
The news came a year and a half after Noel's separation from his wife was announced.

Despite Liam previously telling fans online that Sara was the reason they'd never reunite as she disliked him and the band, it turns out that she may actually have been the key to the reunion all along after the rinsed the High Flying Birds singer of £20m in their divorce settlement.
The Scots PR also forced Noel to relinquish their lavish £8m Hampshire home.
Noel will now be set to make a fortune off his three nights at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium as a part of Oasis reunion tour which kicked off last month.

BBC Radio legend exposes huge music icon as the most 'unpleasant' celeb she's ever interviewed
Radio legend Jo Whiley said the star left her feeling "so tiny and so stupid" during their interview. BBC Radio One legend Jo Whiley has revealed the name of the rudest famous person she's ever interviewed in a jaw dropping confession. The 60-year-old veteran broadcaster interviewed countless stars during her time as a radio DJ. However, speaking to fellow presenter, Zoe Ball, on their Dig it podcast recently, Jo admitted there was one celebrity who shattered her confidence during an interview which left her feeling "stupid". When asked by Zoe if she had ever felt starstruck during an interview, Jo recalled an interview with one of the world's biggest rappers but it was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Jo told Zoe she was left feeling "so tiny" after interviewing hip hop legend Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, the Mirror reports. She explained: "I remember interviewing Eminem and Dr Dre one time and that was horrible. "I'd interviewed Eminem when he was very young and he was very shy and polite. He kept calling me "ma'am" all the time and he was really, really sweet and humble. "Then a couple of years later he came back on the show but with Dr Dre and the fame had happened and he was just this other creature altogether. "They were just so playful with me - and can I just say they made me feel so tiny and so stupid." It comes as the radio DJ insisted she is not slowing down any time soon after turning 60 last month and saying that she doesn't think milestone birthdays are a "big deal". The mum-of-five said that the interview with Eminem was overall "a really unpleasant experience" as she and Zoe chatted about being starstruck by the rich and famous. Her admission comes after the broadcaster opened up about how she had been struck down by anxiety at the height of her DJing career in the 90s. She told Woman's Health: "I remember doing one gig and I was just so scared, I thought I can't go on like this. This is ridiculous. "It's ruining my life because I'm just such a ball of anxiety. "But then I realised how happy it was making people when I do these gigs and that was a game changer." Jo, is still one of the most sought after DJs in the industry and insisted her 60th birthday, which she celebrated last month, is just the same as any other. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! She told Woman and Home: 'Another birthday really isn't a big deal for me because I don't see age as important. "It's something that you very much don't want to be a thing, but it becomes a thing because everybody focuses on it and asks you about it constantly. "It's a bizarre situation to be in because I'm only another year older than I was last year, and a year younger than I will be next year. There's an obsession with reaching certain milestones due to your age. People focus on it too much."

Calvin Harris divides fans after sharing graphic placenta snaps following son's birth
Calvin Harris and Vick Hope have decided to encapsulate the placenta so it can be consumed following their son's home birth on July 20. Calvin Harris has divided opinions over sharing a graphic snap of his wife Vick Hope's placenta, after the couple announced the birth of their first child, Micah, this week. The Scots DJ and Radio 1 host shared the news with fans yesterday that their son had arrived on July 20 in an adorable Instagram post where Harris referred to Vick as a "superhero" after her home birth in Ibiza. The 41-year-old shared a series of snaps, including ones of him holding little Micah and Vick in an outdoor birthing pool surrounded by candles and flowers. Among the pictures, was some more graphic content, which has appeared to stir up some controversy, as Harris shared a photo of his wife's placenta. This was followed by another snap of the placenta being dehydrated and then turned into capsules. The placenta is an organ attached to the womb that delivers oxygen and nutrients to a foetus. It also acts as a filter to protect it from toxins and pollutants. The mother's placenta is expelled from the body after the baby is born and unless it is donated for stem cells, is usually discarded as medical waste. However, it can also be consumed. Harris' graphic snap surprised fans as some of them were left questioning whether the placenta picture was necessary. Rushing to the comment section to express their shock, one wrote: "A disclaimer about the placenta would've been nice tho!" A second commented: "Didn't expect to see a full on placenta pic whilst eating my lunch today." A third criticised the post as they penned: "Congrats on the baby but the placenta pics are TMI. Whole, chopped up, or made into pill form. I could do without this info." Someone else echoed: "Did not have viewing a placenta on my bingo card for today." Yet another added: "Happy for you but the two pics would have been enough..." Meanwhile others were delighted with Harris' decision to share the placenta pictures with the world as a few of his celebrity pals praised his post. Singer Becky Hill wrote: "Love to see the placenta!! amazing we grow a whole new organ to provide life! good job not wasting it either, that's some goddess magic right there!" Applauding the placenta snap, someone else exclaimed: "Amazing birth! Enjoy the benefits of the placenta encapsulation, it's amazing." Another penned: "That placenta is beautiful. Congrats and Blessings." A third agreed: "Congrats! And we did the same! Verry good for the health of your wife and little one!! Enjoy." It is becoming increasingly popular to consume your own placenta as many believe doing so will bring a whole series of health benefits for the new mum such as more energy, improved skin and nails health, plenty of milk when breastfeeding and a lower chance of post natal depression. On the other hand, some medics believe it could actually be harmful to eat your own afterbirth as the placenta can also contain bad bacteria like group B streptococcus. Various preparation methods can be used, including consuming the organ raw or cooking it. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Some parents will get the placenta dehydrated and turned into vitamin-style tablets through a process called encapsulation, which is what Calvin and Vick have chosen to do. A 2015 review of 10 scientific studies found no data to support the claim that eating the placenta carried any health benefits. Organisations such as America's Centre for Disease Control (CDC) have cautioned that potential contamination risks if the organ is not properly stored and prepared.
