Former NFL head coach Jon Gruden is a fan of Jaxson Dart.
After the New York Giants' rookie threw his first touchdown pass in Saturday's preseason action, Gruden took to social media to express the fact that he's supporting Dart's future as a quarterback in the NFL.

Like many, Gruden showed plenty of excitement for Dart, who flashed plenty of positives in his first NFL game, following an impressive run at Ole Miss last year.
"Me and [LJ Humphrey] have been connecting a lot during camp and whatnot. He's been a great contested catcher on go balls. I liked my matchup one-on-one, and he was able to win over the top, and made a great play," Dart said regarding his first and only touchdown pass in Saturday's game.

"[He did] about what I thought he would do," Giants head coach Brian Daboll said of Dart. "Efficient, effective, aggressive, confident in the pocket. Some stuff we could work on, but he's doing good. ... He's tough. He's got moxy. He's got toughness. He's got leadership."
Dart was the second quarterback to hit the field for the Giants on Saturday. The team surprisingly started Russell Wilson after declaring he would be the team's QB1 at the beginning of the regular season. Being in the NFL since 2012, Wilson seemed like a candidate to get the afternoon off, considering his loads of experience.
That wasn't the case. Wilson checked in to go 6-7 from the field, throwing for 28 yards. When Dart came in, the rookie threw 19 passes, completing 12 of his attempts. He totaled 154 yards and a touchdown. On the ground, Dart showed off his wheels by rushing three times, producing 24 yards.
"I felt good. I felt good about it," Dart said after the game.
"It was kind of my first time doing a silent cadence in a road game atmosphere. We did have a few pre-snap penalties that we got to grow on and continue to improve on those things, but I was happy overall about it. I was really happy with how our O-line played. I don't think we had a sack all game if I'm right. They played amazing, and I was happy with our operation."
The Giants defeated the Bills with a 34-25 victory. Dart had a successful day, giving the Giants a lot to look forward to next week, when they take on the New York Jets for their second set of preseason action.

Taylor Swift reveals hilarious Josh Allen-Jared Goff mix-up

The post Taylor Swift reveals hilarious Josh Allen-Jared Goff mix-up appeared first on ClutchPoints. For 1.3 million fans around the world, their Wednesday evening was filled with a live broadcast of the latest edition of New Heights, the Jason and Travis Kelce podcast featuring special guest Taylor Swift. Arguably the hottest couple – and storyline – the NFL has had to offer over the past few seasons, fans have been watching the duo traverse the worlds of sports and entertainment very publicly, even if seemingly everyone outside of the relationship has had an opinion on it. As one of the biggest artists in the world, how did it feel for Swift to suddenly become the most famous fan of football in maybe history? Well first, Swift had to actually learn the rules of the sport, which weren't exactly what she expected, as she hilariously explained on New Heights. 'I thought it was like Jared Goff is here and Josh Allen's here [on the field at the same time],' Taylor Swift explained. 'Then they blow a whistle, and they go at each other. And it's like, who's gonna win?' So Swift thought that football was like soccer meets basketball? Well, that first game watching Kelce play must have been quite the learning experience. Fortunately, the Detroit Lions didn't take any offense from Swift's comments, as they quickly took to social media to share the clip and make a good joke about their star defender, Jared Goff. While most of the 1.3 million fans who tuned into New Heights wanted to see Swift interact with the Kelces, learn about her new album, The Life of a Showgirl, and join a moment that was the talk of the internet, that moment of levity certainly went viral in a major way. Considering Kelce and Swift have been together for years now, who knows how much she knows about football now, as her favorite player, Xavier Worthy, is certainly a pro move. Taylor Swift perfectly sums up NFL vs. ‘Eras Tour' physical toll

The post Taylor Swift perfectly sums up NFL vs. 'Eras Tour' physical toll appeared first on ClutchPoints. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and singer-songwriter Taylor Swift have been dating for almost two years. Their relationship has played out very much in public, and at this point, they almost mirror each other's personalities, as displayed on the 'New Heights' podcast on Wednesday. Kelce and Swift have been highly supportive of each other's careers, with the global pop icon regularly watching the games of the Chiefs despite her busy schedule. Nothing was more hectic for Swift than her 'Eras Tour,' which spanned from 2023 to 2024. She performed nearly 150 shows in over 50 cities across five continents. The 35-year-old Swift admitted on the podcast that she had to endure the physical toll of the concert series, even comparing it to Kelce's grind with the Chiefs. 'It was a lot of physical therapy and it was a lot of being in a state of perpetual physical discomfort. Kind of like when you're in season, you know? I'm not getting hit by huge 300-pounders, but the (wearing of) heels for that long (period was tough),' said Swift, adding that she had to buy an acupuncture mat. The 35-year-old Kelce, who's entering his 13th year with the Chiefs, echoed Swift's remark. 'The similarities were crazy. I'm like, 'Oh my gosh! She does more than I do,'' added the three-time Super Bowl champion. The 'Eras Tour' became the highest-grossing concert tour of all time and the first to earn over $2 billion in revenue, further highlighting the so-called 'Taylor Swift Effect.' Swift is expected to get busy anew with 'The Life of a Showgirl,' her 12th studio album, which will be released in October. She revealed the much-anticipated album cover on 'New Heights.' Kelce, meanwhile, will ramp up his time with the Chiefs as their training camp intensifies with just a few weeks before the new season.
