
HRH Crown Prince Emphasizes Strong Bahrain-Italy Relations During Official Visit by Italian PM
HRH noted the exceptional trajectory of Bahrain-Italy relations, affirming the mutual efforts to expand collaboration to broader and more comprehensive horizons across all domains.
This was stated during a meeting held at Gudaibiya Palace today between HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of the friendly Italian Republic, who is on an official visit to Bahrain. The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust and Chairman of Tamkeen, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, and several senior officials.
HRH welcomed the Italian Prime Minister and her delegation, reiterating Bahrain's commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Italy. He stressed the importance of building on existing achievements, particularly in economic, trade, and investment sectors, to serve mutual interests.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed avenues for bilateral cooperation and discussed issues of mutual interest, including key regional and international topics. HRH underscored Bahrain's ongoing efforts, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, to promote peace, tolerance, coexistence, and dialogue among civilizations, cultures, and religions. He also acknowledged Italy's pivotal role, alongside other friendly and allied nations, in fostering security and peace in the region and globally.
The official visit also included a formal reception ceremony for the Italian Prime Minister, during which the national anthems of Bahrain and Italy were played.
