Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian reacts to her Super Bowl cameo amid history with Drake
Serena Williams ' husband, Alexis Ohanian, has reacted to his wife's appearance in Kendrick Lamar 's Super Bowl halftime show, following her dating history with the rapper's arch-rival, Drake.
Ohanian praised his wife on X/Twitter on Sunday night after she briefly danced on stage at Caesar's Superdome as Lamar performed his Grammy-award-winning song, 'Not Like Us.'
'Pretty fantastic halftime show,' the Reddit founder tweeted.
On Instagram, he also shared a series of photos from the game and show, including one of Williams dancing as she wore a blue tennis skirt and matching jacket. The post included a snap of him and Williams's eldest daughter, Olympia, seven, sitting in the stands.
Williams was previously linked romantically with Drake — who is the target of Lamar's 'Not Like Us.'
Reports about the pair first emerged in 2011 but intensified in 2015 after they were spotted kissing at a restaurant in Cincinnati following Williams's win at the WTA tournament.
Although Williams never publicly confirmed the relationship, Drake sang about their romance in his 2016 song 'Too Good.'
'I'm too good to you / I'm way too good to you / You take my love for granted / I just don't understand it,' he sings in the track.
During a conversation with his mother, Sandi Graham, in 2024, Drake officially confirmed that this tune was about Williams.
'No, I get heavy on a couple joints, but this is more about me and Serena,' he said in the clip, before Graham responded: 'I gather that!'
Drake also referenced Williams in his 2022 track, 'Middle of the Ocean.'
'Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie / He claim we don't got a problem but / No, boo, it is like you coming for sushi,' he rapped.
Ohanian didn't hesitate to hit back at Drake's dig at the time. 'The reason I stay winning is because I'm relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do — including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter,' he wrote on X alongside a picture of him and Olympia watching Wiliams play.
Following the Super Bowl performance, Williams shared a video on Instagram of herself getting her hair and makeup done for the event. She showcased her crip-walking skills, recreating a dance move made famous by the Los Angeles Crips in the Seventies.
'Let's go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little!' she wrote in the caption.
Along with Williams, SZA and Samuel L. Jackson were among Lamar's special guests at the halftime show, as he rifled through hits including 'DNA,' 'Humbler,' and 'All the Stars.' Fans were waiting to see if the rapper would perform 'Not Like Us,' which includes brutal lyrics about Drake including allegations about his interactions with younger women.
In one line referencing Drake's 2021 album, Lamar raps: 'Certified Lover Boy? Certified pedophile.' However, during his halftime performance, Lamar omitted the word pedophile as well as the n-word throughout.
Last month, Drake sued his own record label, Universal Music Group — which also represents Lamar — for defamation over 'Not Like Us.'
Though Lamar is not named in the suit, the filing claims that Universal knew the pedophilia allegations were false but 'chose corporate greed over the safety and well-being of its artists.'
It additionally claims that Universal 'approved, published, and launched a campaign to create a viral hit out of a rap track' that was 'intended to convey the specific, unmistakable, and false factual allegation that Drake is a criminal pedophile, and to suggest that the public should resort to vigilante justice in response.'
'Not only are these claims untrue, but the notion that we would seek to harm the reputation of any artist—let alone Drake—is illogical,' UMG told The Independent in a statement. 'We have invested massively in his music and our employees around the world have worked tirelessly for many years to help him achieve historic commercial and personal financial successes.'

Westlife star pulls out of 25-year celebrations after serious health issues leaving fans concerned
The band will continue on for their anniversary as a trio. Westlife fans have been left gutted after it was revealed that band member Mark Feehily will not be able to perform at the band's big 25th anniversary gigs as he continues to battle health issues. Mark was in the band with Nicky Byrne, Shane Filan and Kian Egan and the lads enjoyed huge success but in February 2024, he announced that he was taking a step back from the Irish boyband due to health issues. The last few years have been tough for Mark and in 2024, he underwent surgery to treat a hernia. A few years prior to that he was treated for sepsis during a Covid lockdown in August 2020. At the time of his operation last August, Mark was advised to recover and not go back on tour with Westlife as they headed off to Canada, the US, Mexico and Brazil, writes The Mirror. Many fans were hopeful that Mark would later be able to rejoin the group to mark their big anniversary, but he has now confirmed that he will be unable to attend. In a message shared on social media on Wednesday night, Westlife wrote: "To our amazing fans, We would like to take this opportunity to share some very important news with you all. "We are thrilled to announce the launch of our 25th Anniversary celebrations... On the 9th February 2001 we kicked off our first ever world tour at the Newcastle Arena. Who would have thought we would still be here 25 years later? "We have so many exciting plans to share with you very soon which will include new music, an album, special shows and many, many more surprises along the way. "Sadly, Mark will be unable to join the celebrations. We hope he can join us back on stage when he is ready and able. He sends his love and positivity to you all as always. "The four of us can't quite believe its been 25 years. We could only have dreamt of the continued love and loyalty you have consistently shown us around the world. We are so lucky to have all of you with us and we can't wait to celebrate together! Happy 25th To Us All! Love, Kian, Mark, Nicky & Shane x." In the comments sections of the post, fans had different opinions on the show doing on as a trio. One penned: "I don't know whether to cry with happiness that you're finally coming back for your 25th year anniv or sob at the fact that mark won't be joining you to celebrate it. I'm so overwhelmed…" "Love you guys... BUT, Westlife isn't Westlife without Mark. 3 just don't cut it," another wrote, with a third pondering: "I wonder if Bryan McFadden will possibly join them for some shows?" Brian McFadden was also a member of Westlife but quit the band in March 2004. Mark first opened up about his health struggles last year on Instagram, posting a statement on the band's official Instagram account, he wrote: "Hello and much love to you all! It's Mark here.. Most of you are aware that I have had some health challenges over the past while. It actually all started 3.5 years ago in August 2020 when I had surgery. Within a few days of this surgery I was in severe pain and was rushed into AandE." He continued: "I eventually ended that awful day in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) where I was informed that due to a complication with the surgery, I had developed severe "Sepsis", a life-threatening infection that would require immediate emergency surgery to rectify the problem and basically save my life. I spent the next few months in hospital. It was during lockdown. For months, due to strict Covid restrictions, I was not allowed any visitors including my fiance and my then 10-month-old daughter. It was physically and mentally a very difficult time, not to mention traumatic having to spend so long in ICU." Mark revealed that he was discharged from hospital in December 2020 but has since grappled with chronic health issues. He elaborated: "In late 2021, I became very ill in Newcastle before a concert and ended up back in AandE, this time being told I had pneumonia. I was told I had to go straight home to recover and regrettably miss the rest of the concerts that December. I was referred to a consultant who told me I needed more surgery which I went ahead with in May 2022 meaning I was forced to miss more of The Wild Dreams tour. "Three months after that surgery, I tried my best to soldier on for you guys and to go back on tour but unfortunately the physical demands of the concerts and extensive travel were proving too much for me. I developed a very large 'incisional hernia' and I was told that I needed further surgery to fix it. This would be my fourth major surgery since the start of it all, but I had no option." Fortunately, his most recent surgery was successful, however, Mark still needs time to recover. "It is with the utmost level of regret that I must now temporarily stand down from all Westlife touring until a time that I have had the chance to fully recover from the turbulent journey I have been through as an individual," he confessed. "Believe me, I wish things could be different! I would like to thank you so very much for your support and understanding of me and my health over the past few years." He expressed his gratitude towards his family and medical team for their support during his health struggles. Mark went on: "To Shane, Kian and Nicky, I love you three and I know you'll knock it out of the park. I'll be there with you in spirit for each and every show whilst you continue to fly the Westlife flag around the world." Openly acknowledging his current condition, he confided: "But for now, I have to make the right decision for my health and wellbeing, for my family, and for myself as a person. Please don't worry. Sending the most positive vibes in your direction, I will see you very soon beautiful people! WESTLIFE FOREVER! Love, Mark Feehily xx." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!

Justin Bieber could be placed in conservatorship by Hailey if she can prove 3 points to court amid his bizarre behavior
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) JUSTIN Bieber could be placed in a conservatorship by wife Hailey if she can prove three key points to the courts amid his concerning behavior, a legal expert has told The U.S. Sun. In recent weeks, the pop star has gone on bizarre rants and appeared incoherent in photographs and videos - leading many fans to believe it's time for Justin, 31, to seek help. "As a seasoned attorney, I'll say this bluntly: If Justin Bieber's recent behavior is as troubling as reported amidst erratic social media posts, visible signs of impairment, and statements hinting at isolation and emotional instability, then YES, a conservatorship could be considered,' powerhouse legal expert Jamie Wright exclusively told The U.S. Sun. However, the decision would not be made lightly, as the acclaimed lawyer made it clear that conservatorships are 'legal nuclear options.' 'In California, a conservatorship is a court-ordered plan where a designated person (conservator) is appointed to manage the affairs, personal care, or finances of an adult deemed unable to manage these on their own. 'This isn't just about being 'out of it' on Instagram. Courts require substantial medical evidence, and the bar is high. 'Especially post-Britney, with the public and legal community rightfully wary of abuses in the system,' Counselor Wright said of Britney Spears' unprecedented, and historic, conservatorship case. She went on to explain that in most conservatorship cases, the spouse or parent would have legal standing to file. However, in order for Hailey, 28, or Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, to have a case, they would need to 'demonstrate that Justin is incapable of making rational decisions, poses a risk to himself or others — including his infant son, or is unable to manage his financial empire,' she claimed. 9 Justin Bieber sparks concern with a series of worrying selfies Credit: Instagram 9 The pop star lies on the concrete shirtless in bizarre social media posts Credit: Instagram 9 Many fans have been concerned over Justin's social media posts Credit: Instagram 'If a conservatorship were granted, it could have profound implications. Legally, Justin could lose control over decisions about his health, money, and even parental rights. 'Custody of his child could be questioned if there's evidence he's an unfit parent. 'It would certainly put pressure on his marriage with Hailey and would raise serious reputational questions that could derail future endorsements, brand partnerships, and touring plans. "He's young, powerful, and high-profile, so any conservatorship move would face intense public scrutiny and likely pushback," the attorney added. 'Bottom line, no one wants to see another celebrity conservatorship saga play out — but if the signs are as serious as they seem, it's not out of the question," Counselor Wright stated. 'HE NEEDS HELP' Recently, Justin sparked concern with a series of comments he's made online - including openly discussing drug use and being "done with transactional relationships." Things escalated further when the Sorry singer took to his Instagram Stories, posting close-up selfies where many said he looked "unwell." One slide he shared this week featured a screenshot from an AI chat interface asking: 'Has ketamine been used to control people's emotions?' The AI chatbot allegedly answered: 'There is clear evidence that ketamine has been misused in certain law enforcement scenarios, particularly in ways that amount to chemical restraint or social control." In another slide, Justin superimposed text over a photo of himself looking defeated: 'This is how I feel after people keep telling me theres more work to do after the ive given everything I have to give.' Welcome Baby Bieber! Singer Justin Bieber and his wife, model Hailey Bieber, welcomed their first child in August 2024. The celebrity couple revealed that they were expecting in May when Hailey was already six months pregnant. The pair announced the birth on August 24, sharing their son's name, Jack Blues Bieber, for the first time. Justin shared a photo of Hailey's hand touching their newborn's foot, which was wrapped in a blanket. Fans immediately congratulated Hailey and Justin while pointing out the family connection of the name Jack. Justin's great-grandfather was Jack Arnold, and his father, Jeremy Bieber, has Jack as a middle name. He followed up with: 'I don't think any of us can handle hearing 'You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me.' It's not true. "I listened to those fools who told me to work harder. And there's no end to trying to earn ur spot in this life because I tried. U have everything u need right now.' On another snap, he admitted: 'We wanna make our life about work so bad. But this life is about God. Loving us so we can love each other. Quit making ur life about work smh. God will always inspire u to wait to work hard. 'U think if you don't tell people to work hard that they won't. Stop playing God please.' Justin went on: 'Conditioning. Will make u feel i didn't know what the f*** u knew.' This cryptic post was followed by another black-and-white selfie with the caption: 'But I f***in always knew in my gut Jesus was always the answer to pain we are all facing. 'People still keep making me think If I work hard on myself I'll be better like them. But the harder I work on myself the more I think about myself. I though the point was to think about one another?' He finished with: 'The only thing that helps me to think about others to let go not try harder. Join me in letting go of not trying harder.' This follows reports that Justin is also facing great financial strain - allegedly owing his former manager, Scooter Braun, over $8 million, audits obtained by TMZ claim. 9 Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber are seen on February 06, 2025 in New York City Credit: GC Images 9 Justin Bieber holds billionaire wife Hailey Bieber's chest in cheeky snap after her $1 billion Rhode deal Credit: Instagram

Steak 'that looks like Scotland' goes viral after Scot shares photo
'Bit dry to be Scotland,' one viewer joked A Scot has gone viral online for their unusually shaped steak. The piece of meat appears to resemble Scotland. Scotland is famed for its thriving culinary scene. People all over the world flock to the country for its various Michelin-starred restaurants and hidden gem eateries. However, it is not every day that you come across food that looks like Scotland itself. That is exactly what happened to one individual who sat down to eat a steak, though. On Tuesday, June 11, one person took to social media to share an image of their steak. Writing on the Scotland community on Reddit, they wrote: "Cooked a steak that looks like Scotland." As can be seen in the image, the steak does in fact appear to bear a resemblance to the shape of Scotland. The meat resembles the irregular and jagged landmass of the country, with certain parts of it vaguely resembling the Highlands, Aberdeenshire, and Dumfries and Galloway on a map. Since being shared, the photo has received more than 2,000 'upvotes'. The post has also been commented on more than 220 times, with many Scots keen to share their thoughts on the steak. Some Reddit users were quick to comment on the appearance of the steak, with many stating that they believed it to be overdone. One even went to so far as to say it was "nuked". One comment reads: "It'd be easier to chew through Hadrian's Wall than that thing." "It is spelt nuked," a second stated, while another Reddit user said: "No, you ruined a steak until it looked like Scotland." A fourth posted: "Is that my shoe sole? Steak looks drier than the Sahara." Meanwhile, a few joked that the meat looked too "dry" to be Scotland. One wrote: "Definitely not Scotland. Scotland will never be this dry." "Scotland is nowhere near that dry," a second echoed, while a third joked: "Bit dry to be Scotland." One user joked about the shape of the steak, asking: "Where's Shetland?" In response, somebody else replied: "It still burns in the pan." Elsewhere, another posted: "Edinburgh looks a bit burnt." As reported by the Daily Record, Reddit users recently shared their picks for the "best single malt Scotch". Whiskies from distilleries such as Balvenie and Glenfarclas were among those named. We also reported on a simple 65p kitchen ingredient that can help make steak taste like it is from a restaurant. The addition of the ingredient is said to enhance the flavour of the meat as a result of a process that occurs when it is used. More information about the steak that looks like Scotland can be found on the Reddit post.
