Emmerdale fans are in for a 'dramatic' episode tonight (July 31) as character Robert Sugden (played by Ryan Hawley) faces a tough situation after leaving prison.
Robert's half-brother John, played by Oliver Farnworth, is set to intensify the drama having secretly attached a listening device to Robert so he can spy on his every move.

Further in the episode, Robert is found to have also used the cash from buying Annie's (Sheila Mercier) back, reports the Radio Times.
The publication continues: 'With John continuing to play Mr Nice Guy, Robert issues a parting warning that the locals will soon see his sibling's true colours.
'But, now public enemy number one again, Robert's isolation leads him into yet another showdown with John, whose underhanded tactics and nasty words cause Robert to lose control.
'A violent incident ensues, with the fate of both characters left on the line in very different ways.'

If you don't kiss your partner like Anthony Mackie, you're doing it wrong

Anthony Mackie has been spotted on the streets of Notting Hill with his hands on a mystery woman's bum – holding on tighter than a Marvel spandex suit clinging to Captain America's glutes. The actor seems to be enjoying his time as a visitor in the British capital – though it's not a cheeky Nandos or kebab he's got his mouth on, and he's unlikely to be seeing many landmarks with his eyes closed. The identity of the woman with whom Mackie was spotted in a passionate makeout on the street remains a mystery, but judging by their giggly, steamy back-and-forth, it's safe to say they've met before. She looks decidedly younger than 46-year-old Mackie, but given that the Dior saddle bag she's wearing in the pictures is worth just over £3,000, it's unlikely she's in London for a low-paid grad scheme or pouring pints at a Spoons. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star is currently in London filming Marvel's much-hyped Avengers: Doomsday, which raises the question: Is the mystery blonde part of the production? A new co-star? Or just someone who happened to be in the vicinity and decided to give a whole new meaning to the concept of 'grabbing a Mackies' at the end of the night? This comes seven years after Mackie's divorce from Sheletta Chapital, with whom he shares four sons, in 2018. Since then, his dating life has been quieter than Hawkeye's solo box office numbers – making these new photos instant online currency. And the internet, as ever, has plenty of opinions. On Reddit, Agpearlstudios wrote: 'It's giving the drunk kiss I shared with some rando outside my college bar.' Dosgatitas was less nostalgic: 'Ew I can't unsee this!' And Hannahspants simply begged for mercy: 'Stop this is foul 😭' One user, Leading_Put-, nailed it: 'It's not one of them cinematic kisses..' Well, no, it's not cinematic. And that's a good thing, contrary to what Reddit would have you believe. We live in a world where porn creates unrealistic images of what sexuality should look like, Instagram kisses are filtered, and intimacy has been algorithmically sanitised. A good, real-life snog? It's supposed to be clumsy, overzealous, and just a touch horrifying to witness. And for God's sake, use your tongue! It's clear that Mackie knows we didn't survive the pandemic just for you to be stingy with your saliva. Honestly, the online reaction says more about us than it does about Mackie, because we may be witnessing something tragic: The slow extinction of the sloppy public makeout. There's nothing like a few drinks, a bit of flirty craic in a sticky booth, and the sheer animal urge to shove your tongue down someone's throat in a weirdly lit alleyway, smelly stairwell, or the guest bathroom of a friend-of-a-friend's house party. More Trending A messy snog is one of life's great joys, and we mustn't shame them. And look at that flirty little face Mackie is making at his mystery blonde! Sure, it looks cringey to us in the harsh fluorescent lights of our cubicles or when we scroll past it on our way to stalk our exes on Instagram, but in the context of the moment, you can bet she felt like the summer air in London was imbued with magic specifically for her. From the photos, this wasn't some 'look how hot we are' staged moment. It was full immersion: giggles, murmurs, forehead presses, and the kind of body contact that ignores camera angles and focuses entirely on surface area. Bottom line: If you're not kissing your partner like Anthony Mackie, you're doing it wrong. It's time to drop the Instagram pout and rediscover the unphotogenic magic of the proper, unapologetic snog. Got a story? Devastating new scenes confirmed for Debbie in Corrie as an ambulance is called

There's concern for Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) in Coronation Street as she dramatically collapses at number 13 and is rushed to hospital. Debbie was diagnosed with dementia after going to the doctor with symptoms she assumed to be due to the menopause. She'd been becoming increasingly forgetful, mislaying things and missing meetings. Added to this were mood swings and then, most alarmingly, blackouts. The doctor told Debbie that the blackouts were probably due to mini-strokes and warned her that this could happen again, and said that her symptoms were due to dementia. At first Debbie kept her diagnosis a secret. Her brother Kevin (Michael Le Vell) had his own health struggles as he was dealing with cancer and Debbie didn't want to give him more to worry about. She also pushed away long-term partner Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), feeling she didn't want to be a burden on him. Eventually she opened up about her health to her close friends and family. Insisting she wanted to carry on as normally as possible, she also reconciled with Ronnie and recently proposed to him at Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove)'s wedding. Things take a turn for the worse in upcoming episodes, however, when Debbie lets herself into Kevin's house to do a spot of cleaning while she thinks Kevin and the family are away on holiday. What she doesn't realise is that Abi (Sally Carman) has faked losing her passport so she can stay behind and spend time with her new lover – Kevin and Debbie's brother, Carl (Jonathan Howard). As Debbie lets herself into the house she's unaware that Carl is upstairs, while Abi has popped out to buy some lager. More Trending It's just as well Carl is there, as it turns out, because Debbie is suddenly overcome by dizziness and collapses. Carl hears the commotion and goes down to investigate, and finds his sister in a bad way. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Who's leaving Coronation Street? Emmerdale confirms major Charity and Ross twist as the baby might not be Sarah's

Last week, ITV soap Emmerdale delivered a massive storyline twist. In tonight's episode, they did the exact same thing again. The plot development last Thursday saw Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) kiss her ex Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick). Prior to this, Charity decided to get drunk in the pub following a massive row with Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb). She then ended up back at Vanessa's, who wanted to help Charity sober up. Charity kissed Vanessa, but we didn't see what happened next. In the episode last Friday and then the ones that have aired this week so far, it was just sort of suggested that their kiss should be left in the past and was considered a mistake. In tonight's episode, Charity headed to the hospital with Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), Mack and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant). They went for another scan, with Charity under the impression her first embryo transfer hadn't worked. In the room, the doctor confirmed that Charity is pregnant. The group were completely thrilled. It was definitely a bit of a shock, considering the fall and Charity's bleeding, but the doctor smiled – there was a heartbeat. The family returned home and set about organising a little celebratory afternoon in the pub. Once the likes of Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) arrived, the news was revealed, and they were all elated. It was at this point that things started to change, as Ross Barton (Michael Parr) wandered in. He caught up on the development and spoke to Charity outside. She was on edge, and the flashback scene quickly allowed us to understand why. After kissing Vanessa, Charity was thrown out of her house. She stumbled through the street and then came across Ross, who was miserable following the departure of Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay). The two characters kissed, and then had sex. Is Ross the father of Charity's baby? Back in present day, with knowledge that Charity is now pregnant, Ross couldn't help but wonder if the baby is his. Charity denied this, telling Ross their sex was meaningless and the baby belongs to Sarah and Jacob – but this is all just words. Until a DNA test is conducted, neither of them will really know the truth. For Ross, star Michael Parr told us that his character absolutely doesn't believe what Charity is saying about the pregnancy: 'I think he's desperate to find out the answer because it comes with such responsibility, having another child, it's a lot of pressure on him because he's not doing so well with work right now and his living situation isn't ideal as he's always swapping and changing. 'Plus he's just met his brother Lewis. There's a lot going on for him in his head, so he just needs to get to the bottom of this. So he can get a good night's sleep.' So, what will the outcome be? Is Charity pregnant with Ross' baby? And if so, could she lie to Jacob and Sarah for nine months and allow them to believe they're about to become parents? Things were already pretty complicated but now, after this, everything has suddenly got incredibly messy. Let's not forget that if Ross is the father of the baby, it will create even more problems for Charity and Mackenzie, who has always wanted more children. 'There are so many emotions going on which again, you know puts more of a spotlight onto Charity's awful secret and dilemma', Emma Atkins said. 'The situation was awful to begin with as it began with poor Sarah's position. It's so sad for Sarah as her situation is awful. She so wanted a child but can't physically have one. And in real life there are poor girls in that situation with cervical cancer or who have had to have a hysterectomy. More Trending 'So Charity had good intentions initially to help Sarah in her plight to have a child but now it's clashing with the awful situation she's in. The fact Mack is now so upset as he and Charity lost a baby and it was Mack's dream was to have a child with Charity but Charity told him way back when that it wasn't going to happen. She added: 'She wasn't going to go down that route again. But now she has but for someone else. He's rightfully hurt by this although wanting to support her.' 'There are just so many layers to this story. So Charity had thought she had closed the door on having another child and that prospect killed Mackenzie in many ways – she was aware of that so Charity now holds all that guilt. Of how he is feeling. View More » 'And now this new situation so this all comes back up to haunt her and it's just a sort of whirlpool of awfulness. And what will she do?.'
