Modi government measures will shake Pakistan to its core: Bandi
Hyderabad: Union minister of state (MoS) for home affairs
Bandi Sanjay Kumar
has said that the Narendra Modi govt is committed to eradicating terrorism and preparing to take strong measures that will shake Pakistan to its core. He stated that the Pahalgam attack represents the height of terrorist brutality and those who wield guns will eventually fall to the same weapons.
Speaking at a 'Rozgar Mela' event held at Marri Channa Reddy Human Resource Development Centre in Jubilee Hills on Saturday, he mentioned that Prime Minister Modi holds the
Rozgar Mela
programme close to his heart and wants to provide a million jobs. The Rozgar Mela, which began on October 22, 2022, continues to this day. So far, 14 Rozgar Melas have been conducted, resulting in filling up of 9,25,000 jobs.
Sanjay said the previous BRS govt had failed to fill jobs regularly, with paper leaks and delays causing injustice to unemployed youth. "Even the current Congress govt is plagued by corruption and irregularities. However, the Centre is filling jobs transparently and systematically, with no room for malpractice," he emphasised.
Through Saturday's 15th Rozgar Mela, over 51,000 jobs were being filled across the country, bringing the total close to the million mark. "Filling so many jobs within a stipulated time frame without room for corruption or error is no small feat, and that credit goes to the Modi govt. When vacancies exist in govt departments, the burden falls on existing employees, making it hard to provide services in remote areas. Keeping this in mind, vacancies in departments are being filled promptly. No govt in the past had filled vacant positions regularly like this — this distinction goes to Modi," he said.

New ACs Won't Cool Below 20 Degrees Celsius? What Minister Said
New Delhi: Union Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, on Tuesday, outlined the Modi government's vision for the year 2047. He emphasised the government's significant strides in economic and infrastructural development over the past decade. During the press conference, Mr Khattar said, "The Modi govt has completed 11 years, and with the targets set, we have 22 years left to achieve them. By 2047, we aim for a Viksit Bharat, and in the coming years, we'll work multifold, building on the progress made in the last decade. Viksit Bharat means reaching a significant global stature. To boost the economy, we need to enhance trade, industries, living standards, and the power sector, which plays a crucial role in driving all sectors." Earlier, marking the occasion, the Union government also released a comprehensive e-book detailing achievements across various sectors over the past 11 years. The year 2025 marks 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government. The book said that these 11 years have been dedicated to bringing about development that is inclusive, progressive, and sustainable. "The government under Prime Minister Modi has been steadfast in its commitment to creating equity and opportunity for all citizens," it added. "PM Modi has brought the politics of development - Vikasvaad into the mainstream, making it the focal point around which political discourse and policy action now revolve," it reads. Meanwhile, highlighting the growth in the power sector, Mr Khattar noted, 'If I talk about the numbers, in 2013-14, the peak demand for power was 130 gigawatts, and in 2024-25, it reached 250 gigawatts - almost double. We expect the peak demand to reach up to 270 gigawatts in 2025-26." The Union Minister also announced a pioneering initiative to standardize air conditioning temperatures. He stated, "Regarding air conditioning standards, a new provision is being implemented soon. The temperature standardization for ACs will be set between 20 degrees Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius, meaning we won't be able to cool below 20 degrees Celsius or warm above 28 degrees Celsius. This is a first-of-its-kind experiment, aiming to standardize temperature settings." This came after the persisting heatwave condition across the country.
