Interestingly, Coolie that has earned Rs 30 crore from its International advance bookings has become the biggest opener for a Tamil film in the overseas markets, according to a report by Sacnilk. Well, The Rajinikanth starrer has surpassed Thalapathy Vijay's Leo, which had earned Rs 66 crore from international territories in 2023. Coolie to have morning shows?
According to a report by India Today, Coolie will have early morning shows in Kerala and Karnataka, starting at 6 am. However, in Tamil Nadu, fans will have to wait until 9 am for the first show to be out. This decision comes after the state government cancelled all early morning screenings following the tragic loss of a fan during the first show of Thunivu in 2023.
Reportedly, several theatres across Tamil Nadu have put up disclaimers, revealing that only 18 and above people will be allowed to watch Coolie in theatres. Trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai wrote on X, 'Even before booking in TN starts for #Coolie, multiplexe majors PVR INOX and AGS Cinemas have announced that the film is (A) certified and those below 18 will not be allowed! Age proof at the entrance in case if the ushers have any doubt!.'
