Govt to roll out ‘Bala Bharosa' for emergency treatment to kids
The Minister explained that under the 'Bala Bharosa' scheme, all necessary medical tests for children below the age of five would be conducted, and any required surgeries would be performed free of charge. Emphasising the importance of government schools and Anganwadi centres, where many children from less privileged backgrounds receive their education, Seethakka urged collectors to recognise their crucial role. 'Telangana will only truly prosper if Anganwadis and government schools are strong. Their impact shapes the future of Telangana. Therefore, give them special focus,' she stated.
The Minister also highlighted progress on student uniforms, noting that women's groups are stitching them for government school students, with approximately 90 per cent of the work for the current academic year already completed. She assured that uniforms would be distributed to all students on the school's opening day, contrasting this with previous delays where uniforms were sometimes received six months into the academic year.
With Anganwadis scheduled to reopen on June 11, Seethakka instructed collectors to inspect their management beforehand. 'For the first time, we have given holidays to Anganwadis,' she noted, calling for field level staff to inspect Anganwadi buildings. She urged steps to encourage children to enrol in Anganwadis and called for these centres to be made comparable to private play schools, ensuring facilities such as drinking water, electricity, and toilets are provided. The Minister called for the 'Amma Maata Anganwadi batha' programme, launching on June 11, to be a success. She also directed that dilapidated Anganwadi centres be relocated to nearby vacant government buildings and announced plans to construct 1,000 new Anganwadi buildings, for which land identification should begin immediately.
Furthermore, the Minister stated that the Indira Mahila Shakti is a flagship programme of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, and collectors should strive to make one crore women 'crorepatis' (millionaires).
She stressed that strengthening women's groups is key to realising the vision of 'Telangana Rising 2047'. Collectors should work to ensure that women's groups establish solar plants and petrol stations, identifying required land immediately and commencing work.
With solar plants set to launch on October 2, the Minister asked collectors to focus particularly on achieving this target.
Agreements have already been made with solar installation companies district wise, and work on the solar plants should commence in coordination with them. Construction of Indira Mahila Shakti Bhavans in 22 districts should be completed by November, she added, urging expedited work in coordination with Panchayati Raj Engineering Department officials.

Even Telangana was a victim of ‘vote chori' conspiracy: CM
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has called upon all parties to join forces for a unified fight against the 'vote chori' conspiracy. He alleged that even Telangana fell prey to the conspiracy as were Bihar and Maharashtra, among others. The Chief Minister said that he and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka would participate in Rahul Gandhi's 'vote adhikar yatra'. Addressing the 375th birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud Maharaj here on Monday, he said that the Congress would thwart vote theft attempts being made by some political parties to win elections in Telangana. He alleged that the Election Commission had registered one crore voters in Maharashtra within four months, which helped BJP wrest power. He took strong exception to the Election Commission of India (ECI) for asking an affidavit from Rahul Gandhi, instead of acting against those guilty of the 'vote theft' scam. It was Rahul Gandhi who exposed vote theft in Bihar where around 65 lakh votes were deleted before the Assembly elections. Affirming that the 'people's government' will fulfil aspirations of the BC community, Revanth Reddy criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy for obstructing the implementation of 42 per cent BC quota in education, employment and political empowerment. He questioned the Union Government for opposing the BC quota citing quota based on religion to Muslims. The CM dared the BJP to scrap Muslim quota in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh. Clarifying that there is no mention of religious-based quota, the CM said that the Panchayat Raj act enacted during the KCR rule was a curse to the BC community.

MGNREGA: 19 lakh man-days approved for Karnataka's Mandya district
Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer K.R. Nandini on Saturday said that 30 lakh man-days were sanctioned for Karnataka's Mandya district under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) last year. However, for the current year, the district had sought 50 lakh man-days, while only 19 lakh were approved, she informed. The official shared the details of MGNREGA works during a meeting chaired by Minister in charge of Mandya N. Cheluvarayaswamy in the district. Earlier, referring to the MGNREGA, the Minister said that although the rule mandates 100 days of employment, wages are released only for the number of man-days sanctioned by the Centre. 'If work is allotted for 100 days but funds are not released for wage payments, it will create problems in the future. This issue will be discussed with the Panchayat Raj Minister and officials concerned before arriving at a solution,' he added. The Minister directed officials to identify taluks with high and low demand for MGNREGA work and make necessary adjustments for its smooth implementation. Priority should be given to labourers, he stressed, while issuing strict instructions to stop the practice of allotting MGNREGA works to contractors. On the issue of providing loans to agricultural labourers, Mr. Cheluvarayaswamy said banks should sanction up to ₹2 lakh without collateral. If details of individuals are provided, it will be easier to negotiate with banks, he noted, while assuring that a separate meeting will be convened to address bank-related issues. Deputy Commissioner Kumar said that under Mandya city limits alone, over 2,000 poor families were without house sites, and about 35 acres of land was required. Since such an amount of land is unavailable within the city limits, a proposal has been sent to the government to treat land located 10 km outside the city (falling under gram panchayat limits) as a special case to provide sites, he added. Superintendent of Police Mallikarjun Baladandi, district-level officials, and representatives of various organisations were present.
