Rajkumar Santoshi's 1994 cult classic Andaz Apna Apna featured the two Khans, Aamir and Salman. The film also starred Paresh Rawal in a dual role, as Ram Gopal Bajaj and his twin brother Teja. In a recent conversation with Radio Nasha Official, the veteran actor opened up about his experience working with Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. Paresh also spoke about how working on Andaz Apna Apna differed from his other comedy films.
Describing the two actors as polar opposites, Paresh said, 'Salman's own charm and charisma is so powerful. He was like a breeze. But, with Aamir, his way of working is methodical. Salman toh hasste khelte aayega aur karlega, Aamir has to know everything. So, kabhi kabhi lagta tha ki thoda toh kahin par manufacture kia hua lagta hai. But, when you see his final impact, it's amazing.'
When asked about laughing at their own jokes and punchlines while shooting a comedy film, Paresh Rawal shared, 'I am really fortunate and lucky that Raj (Rajkumar Santoshi) gave me this film (Andaz Apna Apna). When you do a comedy film, you don't laugh while shooting. Many people say Hera Pheri was so funny but we didn't even know. But this (Andaz Apna Apna) is the only film in which we were having fun even while making it. The way our director was explaining every scene, we used to have a lot of fun and we knew deep down that it's funny.'
It was disappointing for Paresh Rawal that Andaz Apna Apna—which is being re-released in theatres on April 25—didn't receive the recognition it deserved upon its original release. 'It just didn't get the release it deserved, that was a misfire. Hence we didn't get that good of a response. But, it has grown a lot in the past few years,' he concluded.

Aamir Khan, SRK, Ranbir's CA reveals who's got the sharpest financial brain. It is an actress

Bimal Parekh with Ranbir Kapoor. (Pic courtesy- ISL- Indian Super League FB) About Bimal Parekh Behind every Bollywood blockbuster and superstar paycheck, there's a quiet powerhouse who makes sure the numbers add up — and for over four decades, that man has been Bimal Parekh . Known as the financial brain behind stars like Aamir Khan Katrina Kaif , and Ranbir Kapoor , Parekh isn't just a chartered accountant — he's the industry's go-to financial whisperer. But when it comes to sharp money minds, the celebrity he rates the highest is one of the top actresses of the industry. Can you guess who?In a recent chat with The Hollywood Reporter, Parekh revealed that among all his high-profile clients, it's Katrina Kaif who has the keenest financial acumen. According to him, the Ek Tha Tiger actress takes an interest, noting that while actors like Aamir and Ranbir Kapoor are less "bothered" in the day-to-day money matters, Katrina stays hands-on. Parekh also praised Ritesh Sidhwani and The Family Man's Krishna DK (of the Raj & DK duo), calling them financially savvy as journey began in the mid-1980s at a CA firm that managed the accounts of legends like Zeenat Aman and B.R. Chopra. When he branched out on his own, his boss handed him two key clients: Zeenat and a young debutant named Aamir Khan. That single handoff would mark the beginning of one of the most trusted relationships in the film industry. As Aamir gained stardom, so did Parekh's client list — with Juhi Chawla, Farhan Akhtar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker, and even Shah Rukh Khan eventually coming on guided the finances of not just individual stars but entire production powerhouses like Excel Entertainment, Tiger Baby, Bhansali Productions, and more, Parekh has helped redefine how Bollywood approaches business. He revealed that he and his team pioneered the now-famous backend profit-sharing model in Bollywood, first experimenting with Aamir Khan's films. Rather than charging an upfront fee, Aamir opted for a share in the profits — a move that paid off massively during Dangal and ensured Laal Singh Chaddha didn't leave its studio in the red, even if Aamir himself earned less. He is now a name revered across the corridors of Bollywood's elite.

Aamir Khan defends endorsing betting app, says he has refused alcohol and tobacco ads: ‘If it's legal, then let me do it'

Aamir Khan, like most of his contemporaries, endorses many brands, but unlike many of them, he is choosy about the brands he lends his name to. For instance, Aamir has refused to lend his name to alcoholic beverages and tobacco products so when he got associated with betting app Dream 11 recently, his fans were quite shocked. In a recent interview, Aamir shared that he has a few conditions before he decides to endorse a brand, and the first condition is that the product has to deliver on its promise. In a chat with Zoom, Aamir shared, 'I always check that the product is delivering what they have promised.' He said that he has another condition and as per that, he never announces the price of the product. 'Sometimes, I break my own principle. For example, I never announce the price of the product that I am endorsing because I am not a salesman. I am a brand ambassador. I can talk about your brand but not about it's price,' he said and immediately recalled that he once broke that rule while endorsing Coca Cola. 'Once, I broke that rule and spoke about price as well. This was during 'Chota Coke' for Rs 5. Because I really liked its story. It was so creative that I compromised,' he said. Aamir said that he has refused big money in the endorsement space and shared, 'I have refused alcohol and tobacco. Recently, I did Dream 11 so people asked me that you are doing Dream 11, you refused alcohol, tobacco. But the script for Dream 11 was so good. I couldn't say no to it. I laughed so much after I read that ad. I was certain that I wanted to do it. As for the product, if it is illegal then ban it, then we won't make any ads on it. And if it's legal then let me do it too.' ALSO READ | Jaat: Bollywood stars are incapable of laughing at themselves; if Himesh Reshammiya can do it, why can't Sunny Deol? Aamir is one of the few celebrities who has not been associated with a tobacco brand. Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan, and all the other big stars have endorsed pan masala brands. Akshay Kumar also got associated with one such brand but following massive backlash from his fans, he had to step away from the brand.

Aamir Khan reveals he rejected Shah Rukh's Swades because he found the script ‘boring': Maine ab tak film dekhi nahi hai

Aamir Khan worked with director Ashutosh Gowariker in Lagaan, which was a huge critical and commercial success. The film even went on to earn an Oscar nomination in the Best Foreign Language Film category. At the time, Ashutosh was also planning to make his next film with Aamir, and narrated the script of Swades to him. In an interview with Zoom, Aamir has shared why he refused to do the film and revealed that he still has not seen it. (Also read: Will Mahabharat be Aamir Khan's last film? I had said this to Ashu when he narrated the whole story to me. In fact, I'll tell you; Ashu narrated the story to me when we were making Lagaan. It was titled Kaveri Amma then. That's what he told me.' Kaveri Amma was the name of Mohan Bhargava's foster mother in the film, which was later titled Swades. Aamir went on to add, 'It was a three-hour-long narration. When he asked me how I liked it, I said I want to tell you my first reaction first. I said, 'I got bored. It's very important for you to hear this reaction. Ki tera thought kitna bhi noble hain, aur jo tu kehna cha raha hain woh bohot hi sahi cheez hain, aur bohot zaroori bhi hain, lekin itne boring tarike se kahega toh mujhe maza nahi aayega. Baki ka mujhe pata nahi hain but main bore ho gaya hoon. Aapko isko interesting karna hain. Actually maine ab tak film dekhi nahi hain Swades. Toh shayad usne correct kiya hoga… Logo ko Shah Rukh ka kaam khaas pasand aya tha maine ye note kiya tha (What you're trying to say is very correct, noble. It is important, but if you say this in such a boring manner, I got bored, I don't know about anyone else. I actually haven't seen the film yet, he'd have corrected it, and people would've liked it then. I did note that the audience really loved Shah Rukh's work in it).' Swades is considered by many to be the best performance of Shah Rukh's career. The film also won two National Awards. Fan will see Aamir next in Sitaare Zameen Par. Directed by RS Prasanna, the film is a remake of the Spanish movie Campeones. It will release in theatres on June 20.
