Work to defeat communal, casteist forces: Babbar
Raj Babbar
on Saturday urged newly included party office-bearers to commit themselves to the party and work with full dedication to defeat communal and casteist forces.
He urged them to maintain social harmony and brotherhood, protect the Constitution from anti-constitutional forces, and work according to the Congress ideology and Gandhian principles.
"This is the only way to deliver social justice to the oppressed, exploited and deprived sections of society," he said, speaking at the oath-taking ceremony organised as part of the ongoing organisational creation campaign.
He also congratulated them on their new roles.
Stating that hatred was being spread under BJP rule in an organised way, Babbar said: "In such times, it is the duty of every Congress worker to push Gandhian principles, which are deeply embedded in the Congress ideology."
He emphasised that choosing the path of non-violence was the only way to keep the nation united.
"You must work with complete confidence and trust. You must always keep the Congress, like a vast tree, flourishing. Strengthen your identity to such an extent that your name is cheered," he said.
Senior party office bearers were present on the occasion.
