Jason Momoa reveals shocking transformation ahead of 'Dune: Part Three'

Tom's Guide7 days ago
"Dune: Part Three" is already starting production ahead of its current Dec. 18, 2026, release date, and one of its stars, Jason Momoa, just made a shocking transformation to get ready for filming.
Momoa was one of the biggest names in the first "Dune" movie (now titled "Dune: Part One"), but his character, sword-master Duncan Idaho, seemingly died off-screen, and he was therefore absent for the sequel, "Dune: Part Two."
But Momoa returns as Idaho for "Dune 3" and to get ready for the part, he has to look the part. And that meant shaving off his iconic facial hair on Instagram for everyone to see.

HBO Max gives you tons of hit shows and movies, from HBO Originals to A24 movies and more.
Based on his Instagram video, he hasn't shaved in "about six years," meaning he's been rocking a beard ever since filming wrapped on the first "Dune" movie. Here's a clip of the last time Momoa went clean-shaven, cutting down the Emperor's Sardaukar soldiers like he's cutting down a 6-year-old beard.
Now, while Momoa went public with his new look, he still wasn't entirely thrilled about it. "Only for you, Denis," he said, referring to the movie's director, Denis Villeneuve, as he started to shave.
"Goddammit, I hate it!" was his initial response once he was freshly shaved. Still, it's tough to complain too much when you're starring in a major sci-fi franchise and promoting your eco-friendly line of water bottles.
It's especially going to be tough for him to be mad about the new look since this time around, Momoa will be filming with his son, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, who has joined the "Dune: Part Three" cast as Leto II Atreides, the son of Paul (Timothée Chalamet), and twin brother of Ghanima (Ida Brooke).

On is known for making some of the best running shoes on the market, featuring its signature CloudTec pods that provide a soft, cushioned ride, along with max cushioning in many models for extra comfort and shock absorption. Now, the Swiss brand has teamed up with actress and style icon Zendaya to launch her first co-created sneaker, the Cloudzone Moon, as part of their new Be Every You collection. While Zendaya has injected her style into the Cloudzone Moon, it also borrows key features from On's established running shoe technology. The Cloudzone Moon sneaker is available now in men's sizes 7 to 14 and women's sizes 5 to 11. Color options include all black, ivory with red laces, and a lavender white. The sneaker has a breathable mesh upper designed to keep feet cool and comfortable throughout the day. It also features a structured heel counter that locks the foot in place for added stability during movement, plus extra padding in the forefoot to cushion every step. At the heart of the shoe is On's iconic CloudTec cushioning technology, which offers a soft, responsive ride that is supposed to adapt to your stride. Sydney Sweeney's Brother Jokes About Great Jeans Scandal

Sydney Sweeney's brother, Trent Sweeney, is the latest person to weigh in on the star's controversial American Eagle ad, and it looks like her family sees the funny side of the recent controversy. Now, I'm sure that you're across all of the drama, but just in case, here's the lowdown: On July 23, Sydney, 27, was unveiled as the face of American Eagle's new denim campaign, which had the tagline: 'Sydney Sweeney has great jeans [genes],' with the video commercial seemingly focusing on the star's blonde hair and blue immediately, the campaign was accused of implicitly glorifying whiteness and promoting eugenics, which sparked a whole ton of backlash online. On August 1, American Eagle doubled down on the campaign in a statement that only triggered more criticism, and as if that wasn't enough, the White House spoke out in defense of the ad — with President Donald Trump even heaping praise on Sydney after BuzzFeed confirmed that she officially registered as a Republican in 2024. In short, the whole thing has been seriously messy — and Sydney was even heckled when she arrived at the premiere of her latest movie, Americana, on August 3, when someone yelled: 'Stop the ad! That is being racist!' in a video that was obtained by TMZ. Notably, Sydney did not acknowledge the heckling, and remained straight-faced as she was quickly ushered into the event by Euphoria actor has also been defiantly posting as usual to her Instagram story throughout all of this, with Sydney still yet to publicly comment on the uproar her ad has caused. However, Trent hasn't been quite as reserved, with Syd's little brother directly referencing the ad on his Instagram story on Wednesday. For reference, Trent serves in the U.S. Air Force, completing basic training in August 2020, and he made the social media post after being promoted to staff sergeant. Sharing a photo of his official certification, Trent simply quipped: 'It's them good jeans 🥸.' Trent also shared a photo of himself receiving the certificate to his main grid alongside the caption: "I'm excited for this next step in my career and thank everyone that's been a part of it so far,' which Sydney liked. If you're wondering, the siblings have always been incredibly close, with Trent even joining Sydney at the European premiere of Echo Valley in London back in June. And Sydney previously reiterated how important her family is to her in a 2023 interview with Women's Health, where she said: 'I love my family, and I love where I came from. Anything my family needs, I'm always there for them.' As you may remember, Sydney's family first hit the headlines in 2022 after she shared photos from her mom's 60th birthday party that included MAGA-style hats and 'Blue Lives Matter' shirts. Fast-forward to 2025, and it's safe to say that there is little question over Sydney's politics. As always, let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Kelly Clarkson cancels Las Vegas residency dates, reveals ex-husband 'has been ill'

The singer cited needed to support her two children: "I need to be fully present for them." This follows cancelation of her residency's opening weekend in July. Kelly Clarkson is putting family first. Just weeks after canceling the opening weekend of her her Studio Sessions residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last month, the 'Since U Been Gone' singer and talk show host has canceled her remaining August performance dates. "Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas," she wrote late Wednesday on X. "While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them," she continued, referring to her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, dad to her daughter Ruby Rose, 11, and son Remy, 9. 'I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding,' her post concluded. The post came just over an hour after fans noticed their digital tickets for this weekend's shows had been changed to dates in late July 2026. Clarksons apology echoes the one she gave in early July. The "Since U Been Gone" singer opened her residency at the Colosseum Caesars Palace last month, one week later than she had planned, putting the first two shows on hold 90 minutes before she was expected to step onto the stage. "We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans," Clarkson wrote on Instagram. "I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me, and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow's opening at Caesars.""Kelly is an unparalleled artist who has developed a remarkable new show for the Colosseum at Caesars Palace," the venue said in a statement following Clarkson's opening weekend cancelation. "We are confident that when she's recovered, fans will experience an incredible, intimate performance from one of this generation's leading voices." Clarkson apologized to fans in person at her July 11 show, which served as the new opening for the residency: "I know some of y'all had tickets for last weekend's shows. I'm so sorry. We can't help our bodies sometimes. You know, we get sick, and that happens,' she said. 'But thank y'all for showing up. We are so excited. This is my favorite residency — my favorite show I've ever put together." Read the original article on Entertainment Weekly Solve the daily Crossword
