Netflix's Wednesday confirmed for season three but fans all have same complaint
Netflix's hit show Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega has been confirmed for a third season just weeks before season two is set to debut next month. Wednesday is returning for its second season on August 6 after the global success of the first season of Wednesday in 2022 saw it claim the title for the most-viewed English-language series on Netflix of all time.
The announcement of the third season was made on the show's official Instagram page on Wednesday evening, of course. The poster cover shows Ortega, who plays Wednesday Addams, staring out into the distance with an ominous look on her face. Below her is Uncle Fester's hand holding a crystal ball with the number 3 on it.
The words on the image read: "Bad things come in threes." The Wednesday account captioned the announcement: "Season 2 awakens in two weeks. Season 3 is the next omen, already in motion, already inevitable."
Part one of season two is set to drop in less than two weeks time on August 6 while part two will arrive later in the year on September 3.
Season three has not been given a release date as of yet.
Fans of the show were left delighted with the update as they raced to the comment section. An update
One excited follower exclaimed: "WEDNESDAY SEASON 3 CONFIRMED?? I'm breathing black glitter right now."
Another chimed in: "This has made my day. I can't express how freakin' happy I am right now. Every day is Wednesday!"
A third joked: "I'm rising from my grave after seeing this."
A fourth added: "And season 2 hasn't even come out yet this is amazing!"

Someone else gushed: "Counting down the days till Wednesday returns and already looking forward to season 3!! Is there a season 4 in the works? I hope so."
However, elsewhere on X, formerly known as Twitter, other viewers appeared to not get too excited about the announcement as they all made the same remark about how long it will take to be released.
Replying to the tweet posted by Netflix which announced the news, one wrote: "Too long of a gap between each season, half of the audience is already gone."
A third made a similar remark as they wrote: "So we can expect it around 2030..."
Another echoed: "I hope we don't have to wait 12 years for season 3 like we have for season 2."
Somebody else joked: "Airing 2040 with 8 episodes."
The first season of Wednesday aired in November 2022 and was a colossal hit on the streaming platform.
However, fans have now been waiting almost three years for season two, which appears to have left many viewers disgruntled by the long period between seasons.
Hopefully the wait will be worth it though as Season 2 of Wednesday is set to explore darker, more complex stories, while also retaining the show's signature macabre humour.
Co-creator and showrunner Alfred Gough said: 'We think Season 2 is funnier as well!'
The second season will also see the Addams Family and Nevermore lore being expanded with mysterious new characters being introduced.
Familiar faces including Morticia, played by Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gomez, played by Luis Guzmán, and Pugsley, portrayed by Isaac Ordonez are all set to return in expanded roles.
Viewers will want to stick around for season 3 too, which promises to go even further, on every level.
Gough said: 'Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can. We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday.'
Co-creator and show runner Miles Millar added: 'We will be seeing more Addams Family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!'

M&S issues 'alert' to those who want to try viral Strawberry & Creme Sandwich
A Marks & Spencer sandwich which split the public will be removed from shelves shortly, with customers having only a few days left to try the Strawberry & Creme item Shoppers don't have long left if they want to try the latest viral M&S sandwich. The company has confirmed the summer sandwich will be removed from shelves in the coming days, meaning those who want to try the Strawberry & Creme sandwich will have just a little more time to try it. A statement from Marks & Spencer has confirmed the shop will no longer be selling the sweet sandwich. An "alert" was issued to their Instagram page, with many shoppers left heartbroken to know the sandwich will be leaving shelves shortly. Some are hoping to see the return of the viral sandwich next year. Whether the Strawberry & Creme flavour returns is yet to be seen, but M&S were a much talked about brand over summer thanks to the controversial sandwich. A post to their Instagram reads: "Strawberry and Creme Sandwich ALERT. THE summer sandwich sensation - our Red Diamond™ Strawberry & Creme Sandwich will only be available for a few more days "Yes, that's right – it's your last chance to get hold of our limited-edition sarnie so make sure you RUN and don't walk to your local Foodhall to grab a few slices of M&S Food history!" Fans were thrilled to see the sandwich was still available, albeit for only a few more days. One wrote: "Loved it!" Another added: "Please do this one again next year, it was delicious." A third added: "I don't know why this got so much hate, me & my kids shared one the other day and thought it was delicious!!" Not everyone was keen to get their hands on the Strawberry & Creme sandwich before it left shelves. One Instagram user simply commented: "Nope!" Another joked: "Nah, I'm good, ta." But others were left hoping the sandwich makes a glorious return next year, with the M&S summer selection a hit with some. One user even claimed they managed to put their dislike of strawberries aside for the sandwich. They wrote: "Please bring them back next year. I don't even like strawberries but I loved these (and your red diamond strawberries)." Another added: "Had one the other week finally managed to get my hands on one and I really enjoyed it was very tasty." A third shared: "I really like it, please bring it back next year! I will have to buy my last one this Saturday then." The Strawberry and Creme sandwich, launched on June 25, consists of ripe strawberries and whipped cream cheese nestled between two slices of sweetened bread. According to M&S, this unique creation draws inspiration from Japanese "sweet sandos" or fruit sandwiches, which have been gaining popularity in London's trendy Japanese patisseries. M&S explained: "Inspired by the Japanese sweet sandos, recently spotted popping up in London's trendiest Japanese patisseries, our product developers have long dreamed of creating a dessert sandwich."

Ibiza Final Boss Jack Kay to land huge six-figure sum if he does one thing
Jack Kay, 26, also known as the 'Ibiza Final Boss' after a video of him dancing in the Spanish island went viral, could be set to pocket a six-figure sum if he cashes in on his new-found fame Jack Kay, dubbed the Ibiza Final Boss, could make a high six figure salary this year - if he plays his cards right. The 26 year old, from Newcastle, shot to fame overnight after video footage of him dancing on the Spanish party island went viral on social media. But it wasn't just his smooth moves that drew attention - his unique bowl haircut which really set him apart. Now, thanks to his instant recognisability, he could be set to rake in thousands of pounds through TV appearances and brand deals. It comes after a warning to Brit tourists planning all-inclusive holidays to Spain, where Jack found his fame. 'The PR world loves an unexpected viral hero and Ibiza Final Boss, Jack Kay, is delivering in spades," PR expert Mayah Riaz, of Miyah Media, tells The Mirror. "He's got the holy trinity of viral success: that he's relatable, he popped up at the right time, and he's unintentionally hilarious. The internet seems to love him. And in today's fame economy that kind of organic buzz can absolutely be cashed in on, if he plays it right." Since the clip of him went viral, Jack's not just gained attention, he's gained an extremely valuable following (27,000 on Instagram - and climbing), as well as an agent, giving him serious earning potential. Mayah says: "We're already seeing brands jumping on his train by using his image, offering him guest list invites, and even offering him holidays. If his following keeps growing and stays engaged, there's a very real chance of him pulling in £1-2k per post, especially if he leans into party brands, travel, fashion, or those lad-culture meme pages. "And he's already back in Ibiza after just one day in the UK. That's likely down to club appearances as Ibiza venues love a viral name on the flyer. These bookings can easily land him £1k-£5k per night, depending on demand." She adds: "He has already announced he's going on tour. So he is aware he needs to cash in on this very quickly. Depending on the format of his tour, it could see him making £40k-£60k from it, as he has seen there must be a demand for it. Already, some quick-thinkers have begun selling wigs of his infamous haircut. "If he created his own official merchandise, - if he moves fast with it - it could make around £50k on wig sales and around £75k from additional merchandise such as t-shirts, hoodies and mugs," says Mayah. Jack's fans will be delighted to hear that he's likely to appear on daytime TV interviews and panel shows (£500–£2k a pop) in the coming days, and possibly even reality TV such as Big Brother or The Traitors, which could easily bring in £10k–£50k for a short stint. Mayah added that the PR world thrives on freebies and 'influencer swaps' with designer clothes, luxury hotel stays and sponsored trips, which could be worth £10k+ in value. With the world at his feet, it's very possible for Jack to have a high six figure year, so long as he acts fast. "Jack's rise is meme-led, and reason that it is working is because people aren't laughing at him, they're laughing with him," says Mayah. " He's got the everyman charm nailed: a regular lad from Newcastle, enjoying his moment. That kind of relatability is gold dust in PR. "If I could offer Jack one piece of advice, it's to remember that viral fame burns hot and fast. If he wants to turn this 15-second clip into a six-figure year (and he absolutely can), he needs to start thinking long-term. Build the personal brand, get a solid PR strategy behind him and bring in a manager who can say 'no' to the right things.'

Only those with sharp vision can spot the 5 dogs hidden among the cats
Can you help out your feline friends by finding all the mischievous dogs hiding within their purrfect party? International Cat Day is almost upon us. Tomorrow, on Friday, August 8, feline fans across the world will celebrate their four-legged friend. There are many ways to mark the momentous day; getting your cat a present, sharing cute pictures of them on your socials, or just leaving them to themselves - since the famously independent creatures seem to enjoy that too. But what about celebrating your cat by challenging yourself? Well, online gambling and gaming site Kitty Bingo has created a brainteaser that is guaranteed to test your observational skills. While humans have better vision than cats in general, the felines are thought to be nearsighted. This means they can see close objects clearly, which is crucial for hunting and capturing prey. And keen eyesight like this will come in handy for anyone taking on this brainteaser. The puzzle features an image full of playful and colourful cats. But hidden within the feline frenzy are five imposters. A mischievous quintet of dogs have snuck into the pictures hoping to join in the fun. Can you help out your cat companions by spotting the rogue canines and having them removed from the moggy madness? And, if you want to test yourself against others, why not start a timer and see how quickly you can complete it. At first glance, it may seem that the image of the purrfect party is wall-to-wall cats, but if you scrutinise it closely, you should be able to spot some of the daring dogs. From floppy ears to wagging tails, all five have something that gives them away as imposters. How are you getting on? Have you spotted all five? Or are you ready to give up? If you want a bit more time to get them all, don't scroll down just yet as we're about to reveal the answer. Okay, here goes. Answer below. Did you manage to get all five? Well done! If you didn't get them all, don't worry, we have lots of other brainteasers for you to try. If you want another animal-based puzzle, why not try this one? Can you spot the 10 rogue racehorses trying to speak into Royal Ascot? And only eagle-eyed readers are able to find the hidden toy duck in this real-life brainteaser - are you one of them? In another puzzle, there is a series of chickens lined up in rows and columns - but one of them doesn't belong. Can you spot the odd one out? If you can find the bunny hidden in this field of Easter eggs in under 30 seconds, then you might just have 20/20 vision. Moving on to music, this brainteaser based on a series of images.
