The Boston Celtics have a tough schedule for the 2025 NBA Cup

The Boston Celtics have a tough schedule for the 2025 NBA Cup. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the CLNS Media "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, in a recent episode of their show that came out with the release of the NBA's 2025-26 regular season schedule.
The Celtics have found themselves placed into the Eastern Conference's Group B for this year's cup play, which will have them take on the the Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic, Brooklyn Nets, and Detroit Pistons. With only the Magic looking like a lock to be a home court team and the Pistons a likely winning ball club by the end of the season, the Celtics have a real shot of winning their group this year, but it won't be easy with Orlando looking much better.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about Boston's NBA Cup outlook and more!

What does the Nets' schedule look like throughout the 2025-26 season?

The Brooklyn Nets recently found out their entire schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season (except for two games to be scheduled at a later time due to the NBA Cup). Brooklyn understands that they will not be getting much exposure on a national stage, but Nets fans can also be interested in when the team is expected to face the highs and lows of their impending season. HoopsHype's Cyro Asseo put together a list of when all 30 NBA teams can expect to see the peaks and valleys of their schedule, something that each team would like to know ahead of time. For Brooklyn, the toughest portion of their schedule is actually the opening month of the season based off the strength of schedule index that Asseo used for the article. "We used average over/under win projections from the most popular sportsbooks to build a month-by-month Strength of Schedule (SOS) for every NBA team in 2025-26," Asseo wrote in part explaining how the metric was put together. The Nets only have five games in October, but they will be facing the Charlotte Hornets (season-opener), Cleveland Cavaliers (home-opener), San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, and Atlanta Hawks. Based on the standings for the 2024-25 season, the Cavaliers and Rockets were two of the better teams in the league, but Houston significantly changed their team with them trading for Kevin Durant. The Hawks, Spurs, and Hornets were teams with losing records, but Atlanta switched things up after trading for Boston Celtics forward Kristaps Porzingis. San Antonio finished the campaign with a 34-48 record, but star center Victor Wembanyama had his season shortened due to blood clots. Charlotte is expected to be one of the worst teams in the league once again despite having some talented young players in LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Miles Bridges. Brooklyn is most likely going to be in the Lottery after next season, but October is expected to be a tough beginning to what could be a long season.

Where Boston Celtics alumni are signing overseas

With more of the month of August behind us than in front, the 2025 NBA offseason is most of the way over. But there are still a few more weeks left in this month, with September and most of October ahead of us. With that much time having passed since the end of the last season, most players have found their home for the coming campaign ahead. Among them are a number of Boston Celtics alumni, latching on to ball clubs in other leagues when an NBA home is not in the cards at their respective stages of their careers. Keeping track of all the former Boston players still suiting up but not in the Association can be a hard row to hoe, but our sister site put together a list of overseas signings we're leaning on to help make that task easier. Let's take a look at where the wider Celtics diaspora is landing for the season soon to arrive. Evan Fournier - Olympiacos - Extended until 2027-28 Lamar Stevens - Paris Basketball - Signed for 2025-26 Ben Bentil - Mersin MSK - Signed for 2025-26 Mfiondu Kabengele - BC Dubai - Signed until 2026-27 Oshae Brissett - Maccabi Tel Aviv - Signed until 2026-27 Carsen Edwards - Virtus Bologna - Signed for 2025-26 Ante Zizic - Besiktas JK - Signed for 2025-26 Brodric Thomas - Fighting Eagles Nagoya - Signed for 2025-26 Juwan Morgan - KK Buducnost - Re-signed for 2025-26 Listen to "Havlicek Stole the Pod" on: Spotify: iTunes: YouTube:

Boston Celtics jersey history No. 30 - Theodore Edwards (1994-95)

The Boston Celtics have had players suiting up in a total of 68 different jersey numbers (and have three others not part of any numerical series) since their founding at the dawn of the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- the league that would become today's NBA), worn by well over 500 players in the course of Celtics history. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Celtics Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. With 25 of those jerseys now retired to honor some of the greatest Celtics to wear those jerseys, there is a lot of history to cover. And for today's article, we will continue with the fifth of 15 people to wear the No. 30, Boston wing alum Theodore Edwards. After ending his college career at East Carolina University, Edwards was picked up with the 21st overall selection of the 1989 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. The Washington, District of Columbia native also played for the Milwaukee Bucks before he was dealt to Boston in 1994. His stay with the team would span just 31 games before he was dealt back to the Jazz in 1995. During his time suiting up for the Celtics, Edwards wore only jersey No. 30 and put up 7.1 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. All stats and data courtesy of Basketball Reference.
