Pete, who admitted his mum affectionately called him Pirate Pete when he was a kid due to his need to wear an eye patch, addressed upcoming appointments on his Staying Relevant podcast.
He told co-host Sam Thompson, 32, in the latest episode: "I may have to go back to having an eye patch.
"I'm going to tell the truth here.
"I used to be called Pirate Pete, it's a weird nickname, but actually it was my mum that first called me that when I was a kid because I had a lazy eye when I used to get tired."
As Made In Chelsea alum Sam could be heard giggling in the background, Pete asked: "Why are we laughing at my affliction?
"So I had this eye patch to try to correct it, which it did, so that was great."
Yet he added: "The bad eye is coming back as I'm getting older, it's going for a walk."
Sam then asked: "So what are you going to do?" which prompted Pete to reply: "I have to go and see an eye specialist to see whether or not we can re-train it or whether I am going to have some kind of surgery."
Sam, clearly misunderstanding the diagnosis, squealed: "They are going to get rid of the eyeball!"
Watch as Sam Thompson squirms & is slammed as 'defensive' over newromance
Pete then clarified: "I'm not going to have it removed."
He then admitted close pal and Love Island alum Liv Attwood had played her part and said: "I've started noticing, it was Liv that f***ing noticed it.
"It was Liv that mentioned it then."
As Pete admitted it was getting worse, Sam conceded: "It is getting quite bad."
Pete Wicks - reality TV history
PETE Wicks has starred on a variety of reality TV shows in the past - here's a few examples of his screen time TOWIE: Pete joined TOWIE in 2015 for his most memorable reality TV role
Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls: Pete starred on the endurance show in 2018
Celebs Go Dating: He attempted to find love on the E4 series in 2019
Celebrity MasterChef: In 2020 he was a contestant on the BBC foodie series
Tipping Point: Lucky Stars and Celeb SAS: Who Dares Wins: 2022 was a busy year for Pete, when he clocked up these two reality TV shows
The Real Full Monty: He whipped his kit off for the charity series in 2023
Strictly: Pete was a fan-favourite on the show back in 2024
Pete then added: "Well great, I'm glad I don't feel conscious about it."
He then confirmed his eye appointment would be in a "couple of weeks."
Back in 2016, Pete suffered a nasty eye injury during filming for TOWIE.
A year later, he was then seen stepping out sporting a black eye.
He was also previously forced to clarify his eye colour with a childhood snap - after his peepers appeared a different colour entirely on his passport photo.
SHOW TEASE
Yet Pete got his own back on Sam for the ribbing about his eye when talk turned to the E4 star's love life.
Pete called out his pal for being "defensive" about his date to Liv's birthday party.
It came after Samie Elishi and Sam confirmed they were dating when they shared a steamy kiss.
They were also seen cosying up in their first photo together before they were spotted holding hands in a sweet PDA.
The Sun was first to report how I'm a Celeb winner Sam was moving on from his ex Zara McDermott, 28, after growing close to Samie.
Pete said: "Now you've got a date for the night," which prompted Sam to clap back: "I don't have a f**king date for the night."
TOWIE star Pete then interjected: "Me," as Sam, clearly still on the back foot, said: "Right."
Pete, then pressing the issue, quizzed: "Who did you think I meant?" to which Sam said: "No one."
Pete, who had discussed how he organised Liv's event, then probed: "Why so defensive then? I was just talking about me."

Theme park that's better than Disney only 3.5 hours from the UK

Theme park that's better than Disney only 3.5 hours from the UK Efteling, near Tilburg in the Netherlands, has been called 'better than Disneyland' and is only a three and a half hour drive from the UK - but is it worth the trip? A sculpture at Efteling (Image: Sam Dimmer) Most Brits despise theme parks for three key reasons - endless queues, extortionate prices, and disappointing food. Many of us have forked out a fortune to endure hours of waiting for mere minutes of roller coaster excitement, whilst battling wasps away from overpriced fast food that's just set you back £50. ‌ Nevertheless, there's another option. If you're willing to venture abroad, you can reach Efteling, situated near Tilburg in the Netherlands, in just three and a half hours from Calais. ‌ You might question this approach. Is the additional effort and cost worthwhile? ‌ Well, an increasing number of Britons certainly think so - including Nottinghamshire Live executive editor Sam Dimmer. He recently visited the attraction to discover for himself whether it justified its stellar reputation, reports the Express. Article continues below He explained: "My family and I spent three nights at Efteling, travelling from the East Midlands. Our hotel room included park passes for four days. It cost £1,200 in total, but considering park tickets cost around £180 a day for a family of four, I think that represents good value." Sam had previously visited the attraction the year before but only stayed one night, which felt insufficient. Additionally, the park had recently launched a new attraction he was keen to experience. He explained: "We felt that three nights was just about enough this time around, but still very nearly missed an entire section of the park because it wasn't where all of the main rides were." ‌ At first, Sam intended to count how many rides they went on , but this notion was swiftly discarded. He explained: "The theme park operates from 10am until 10pm and the queues rarely go above 30 minutes, so you're going to be quite busy, particularly late in the evening. "Also the virtual queuing on two rides, and the app advising you how long queues are, mean you can plan your day to spend as little time as possible queueing. ‌ "When you've got younger kids, or kids with additional needs, that's a lifesaver." Efteling is a family-orientated theme park and last year Sam's eight year old managed to experience all the attractions, including the Baron, a vertical drop coaster similar to Oblivion at Alton Towers but with superior theming. This means that around 7pm, many guests begin making their way towards the exit and the queues for the larger thrill rides and the darker new attraction, Danse Macabre, only take 10 to 15 minutes. ‌ Those attractions? They're absolutely brilliant. One of the rides at Efteling (Image: Sam Dimmer) ‌ Sam remarked: "Yes, it's a family park, with brilliant playgrounds, a fantasy forest, incredible theming and based around fantastic stories. But my oh my, the rides are good. The aforementioned Baron, wooden race coasters Joris and the Dragon and water coaster the Flying Dutchman are tremendous fun, but the best ride is the newest - Danse Macabre." Danse Macabre proved to be Sam's favourite - in fact, he and his family experienced it seven times. He said: "Yes, it broke down on the last day and the queues were long, but this is a special ride. Guests sit in rows of church pews, before the whole room goes dark. Then you're spun around the room, like you're dancing, watching an orchestra of ghosts and ghouls went on it seven times and each time we saw something new. Every time people applauded when the ride ended. It's that good. It's beautifully put together, exceptionally clever, and so fun." The food is absolutely delicious Typically during Sam's theme park adventures he packs his own lunch to sidestep the pricey and frequently mediocre fare - but at Efteling there were no concerns with the dining. ‌ He said: "The park is famous for many things, and the food is definitely one of them. The chimney cakes, pastry cones filled with an assortment of fruit, cream, chocolate, candy floss etc etc are a delight, although I wouldn't recommend eating one before hitting a big ride, and you can also sample Dutch treats like poffertjes (little pancakes) and kibbeling (deep fried spiced fish with a delicious dip). "If anything the food is better than last year. Pinnokio's pizza and pasta restaurant was a hit with my family, as was the meal at Het Eethuys, a hotel on site. "My favourite though was Polles Keuken, a pancake restaurant that served huge sweet or savoury pancakes against a brilliant backdrop." ‌ Nevertheless, it's crucial to reserve these establishments beforehand as they tend to become extremely crowded. Allow yourself plenty of time to discover Efteling isn't a massive park but you will definitely miss something if you're not vigilant. Sam said: "We only spotted the huge playground because I saw a post on the incredibly helpful Efteling Fans UK Group and decided to go on the monorail at 9.30pm. ‌ A gorgeous fairy tale sculpture at Efteling (Image: undefined) "We also spotted the Efteling museum and a great self-serve restaurant in the area that we returned to the next day. This was on day three of four in the park, and we weren't planning on doing as much on our final day, but decided to stick around because we kept spotting new things to do." For those who favour a more relaxed tempo or for the little ones not quite prepared for high-speed thrills, the Fairytale Forest provides a charming sanctuary. ‌ This captivating area boasts a series of spectacular displays, some motionless and others animated, presenting visitors to a host of peculiar characters, such as Long Neck, a man with an extraordinarily stretched neck. Efteling is genuinely enchanting Sam was thoroughly impressed with the park, saying: "The thing about Efteling is it doesn't feel like a place designed to suck money out of you. It feels like they genuinely care about you having a great time. The staff, for example, are unbelievable. I clumsily asked one in Dutch if he spoke English and he looked at me and told me he spoke five languages and was learning a sixth. "It's clean, the music is wonderful and it smells so good they actually sell Efteling scents in the gift shop. My wife's salon now smells very much like Efteling. I love Alton Towers, but I don't think I'd particularly want to bottle the smell of a day out in Staffordshire." ‌ Anton Pieck, an artist and illustrator, was one of the founders of Efteling and his work continues to inspire the park today. His influence is still felt, making visitors feel as though they are truly walking through a fairytale. Efteling theme park (Image: Sam Dimmer) It's worth considering an overnight stay Not many theme parks necessitate an overnight stay, as usually a day is sufficient. Alton Towers in the UK might be an exception, but at Efteling, three nights didn't seem excessive. ‌ Sam's hotel was a picturesque ten-minute stroll from the park entrance, passing lakes, playgrounds and a fairytale castle. He said the rooms were "ideal", offering ample space for a family of four, with comfortable beds, a large bath and a powerful shower. There's even a swimming pool, perfect for younger kids. Be prepared for a good deal o f walking This won't come as a surprise to seasoned theme-park visitors, but you will certainly clock up the steps. Article continues below Sam said: "There's a beautiful little steam train that takes you around the park, but we didn't use it as the park itself isn't huge. "It's a decision I regretted at the end of day four as we prepared to drive to Calais, although a decent pair of trainers helped me just about get through. We were averaging between 25,000-30,000 steps a day, which is a good old shift, but we were going from 10am to 10pm. "We're a family who enjoys being active, but for those who find walking challenging, this might not be as enjoyable. However, there are measures you can take to make it easier, and we do enjoy a good walk."

Lucy Mecklenburgh admits she sleeps in separate bed to Ryan as she fumes over wedding planning

Lucy Mecklenburgh has spoken about her relationship with Ryan Thomas, including revealing their sleeping arrangements at home and an update on them planning their wedding Former TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh has revealed that she is sleeping in a separate bed to fiancé Ryan Thomas, branding him a "nightmare". She has also spoken out about the real reason her wedding planning has stalled and admitted the situation had been "quite hard". ‌ Lucy, 33, and former Coronation Street cast member Ryan, 41, who have been in a relationship since 2017, now live in Manchester with their two children. The couple, who got engaged two years after they began dating, gave an insight into their relationship whilst on a podcast together recently. ‌ Ryan's fiancée was a guest on the latest episode of the At Homes with the Thomas Bro's podcast, which was released earlier today. Lucy spoke to Ryan and his twin brothers Scott Thomas and Adam Thomas, both 37, who co-host it. ‌ Asked about their sleeping arrangements at one point, Lucy said on the podcast: "Basically we sleep in separate bedrooms because Ryan is a nightmare sleeper." She went on to say that her fiancé snores and talks in his sleep. Scott teased: "He always wants a cuddle." Lucy responded: "I mean, that is annoying." Sharing her reasons for sleeping separatedly from her partner, she then shared: "Basically, Ryan snores, he sleep talks, he whacks me in his sleep." She added: "Just to get a good night sleep and that's just become normal now." Lucy later shared that she isn't always alone though, with her saying that she sometimes has the couple's five-year-old son in the bed with her. Earlier on the podcast, Lucy said that she considers the couple's sleeping arrangements to be "normal". Speaking about sleeping separately from her partner, she said: "I've spoken to other people and it's pretty normal in their house [too]." Later sharing his thoughts though, her brother-in-law Adam, who's been married to his wife Caroline Thomas for eight years, said: "I couldn't imagine not sleeping in the same bed as Caz. Like, I go to bed holding her hand sometimes." ‌ Elsewhere on the podcast, Lucy was also asked about her wedding plans after getting engaged to Ryan in 2019 whilst on holiday in Italy together. She that they "do talk about" getting married but that plans got "pushed aside" once she realised that she was pregnant with their eldest child. Lucy said: "Now we've got kids, it's valuing that money for other things more than a day. [...] I would love it but then, I don't know, I find it quite hard." Reflecting on their relationship, she said: "Well fell pregnant the night we got engaged." ‌ The reality TV star continued on the podcast: "I was planning the wedding from then." Lucy recalled looking at venues and dresses for the special occasion shortly after getting engaged to Ryan six years ago. She however said that it only last 10 days as she then halted her planning once she discovered she was pregnant. She shared that she had suspected she was pregnant on flight home from Italy, where they got engaged, after feeling nauseous. She said: "That was it. So then my dream ... planning my wedding lasted 10 days and then I knew that once I had a child it wouldn't mean as much as I was really upset about it. I kind of just knew that everything would revolve around the kids after that and that's kind of what happened."

A source told Closer that it was "early days", but that Dan are Chloe were said to be "smitten" with each other. Ella has no broken her silence on her ex's new romance. "I think she's an absolutely beautiful girl and, look, at the end of the day, if they are exploring things I wish them all the best," she told Closer. When asked if she knew Chloe, she replied: "No, we don't really have mutual friends." However despite her ex seemingly moving on to a new relationship, Ella teased there was "unfinished business" between herself and Dan. She said: "There's a lot of speculation that has been cleared up. But it is good, and it's probably ended the best way it could have ended." "But away from the show, because it's personal life. He was just my boyfriend before Towie, he was my boyfriend because we actually had a lot of love and care. It wasn't a 'showmance'." Ella added: "So it's been really hard to navigate what I show on TV for the whole world to see, and then what is personal, because it's private." Ella Rae Wise and Dan Edgar first got together when the stars of Towie took a trip to Bali at the start of the show's 33rd series in early 2024.
